Thank you for your encouraging comment.
I have been collaborating with several LMer's,
"Micky" and I have a team here on LM (StarTravels)
I enjoy checking out other players approach to music
production and collaborating with them writing for different
instruments, vocals and sound design.
I dont know whats the time in your country but here it is
03.30 in the night and im sitting here in the dark and start to listen your track...I was shocked hahaha
But a very special well put together track.
Nice effect that banjo
And that vocal also fits in well
Amazing work. You can't go wrong with MT. He's an extraordinary artist and drummer. This was very well put together. Excellent mix and master. PEACE T576 OUT.
What's up T576,
It's hard to believe it's been almost a year since Mark and I did this track. It was a great oppourtunity for me to get a chance to work with Mark again.
I really appreciate your taking the time out to stop by and
give the track a listen as well as comment.
Encouragement from fellow LMers (musicians) is always a great boost to my morale. Sometimes you wonder if anybody is hearing what you have to say (musically).
Rob! What I'm hearing, you can supply beats and tracks with ease. This is some of the best and most creative I've heard in a while in this genre. You always da Man! Peace.
This is awesome stuff man. Oh, and anyone who gets offended at a category label can F right off - that can never be the goal of music.
I think you've been silent for a couple months (since Sept? ) Here's hoping you're ok - if there's some mild writer's block or stuff holding you back - they can't hold us down man. The music will always come out!
(Hugs)
I'm glad you heard and enjoyed this track.
I imagine LM must be posting it from time to time.
I don't remember it getting quite so many listens when
I posted it back in March.
It's very encouraging to get such a rave review from you
I'm a huge fan of all your work here on LM.
I also appreciate your concern, I have been going thru a rough patch since October. I'm ok tho. Quitters never win and winners never quit. I may pause but I never quit.
I hope to be back on LM soon.
Hello Maj2,
As usual you are much too kind
It means a lot to get such encouraging
comments from you.
I wrote this track about two years ago when
I was really into playing all the instruments.
I'm sorry I couldn't foresee LM enhancing the 1-200hz
on this track. It's a wonder you even heard the Rhodes.
I hope to be back with some new stuff soon.
Thanks again for your encouraging words and FAVE!
PEACE...
Hey Rob, great to see you man! I never know what I'm going to get when I hit play on one of your tracks but this one turned out to be even more chaos than usual. The world will be a much darker place if ever that ceases to be the case.
As usual, the way that you deploy your vocal samples is absolutely on-point, as they create their own rhythmic effects. Which lines up with all the... honestly pretty hardcore... hard-bop jazz licks you tucked in throughout the mix. F*cking stellar.
Wow... Thanks Cam.
Once again your comments
on the rhythmic contribution the Vocals
add to my tracks makes me really think about
how I could push the Vocal rhythmic envelope even
more. I wasn't really aware of it until you mentioned
it a while back on another one of my tracks.
Thank you for bringing it to my attention, it has added
a whole nuther layer of things to consider when I write.
I'll be posting some new stuff soon. You can bet your insight on the rhythmic Vocals will be in there.
wow Rob what a cool funky mash-up this is, great vocal placement, the fx are fantastic the instruments are all perfect together, the Rhodes piano is fire and the outro is off the charts, brilliant mate
Mark started me out playing in
a band back in the early 70's.
Damn! that was 50years ago!
If Mark stopped playing now and
I kept going for the next 50years
I might know half of what he knows
about music and play maybe a quarter
as well as he plays on "Real" instruments.
I appreciate you encouraging comments but I'm
no Mark, by a long shot. Guys like you and Mark
keep the bar raised to almost unreachable heights.
Madness I say, but you somehow keep it coherent! I've missed it. Love the madcap laughs at the end too. And to think i was kind of pleased with my Rhodes the other day, this is how a real master does it!
I've heard your Keyboarding
as well as several other instruments.
I can feel you feeling each instrument
you play. You play them all quite well I
might add.
I'm trying to reach that "Oneness" with my
sound, you're already there.
Thanks for giving this track a listen
and for your encouraging words it always
means a lot to me.
Rob. Welcome back. So why you killing me with that blasted synth bass? Huh? Then the effects and your backup Jynxzetts. Now that Rhodes mini solo round bout 1:44! Ridiculousness. 1 of my all time favorites. Faved. Peace.
I wish I had know this track would actually get listened to.
I would have spent more time cleaning up that Synth Bass.
We have the Bass and Rhodes bug real badd. I think we may need a 12 step program. LOL...
Thanks for stopping by and especially for the FAVE!
I hope you like my next track. I'm thinking about "Giving the Drummer some"
Omg Rob... Just... Ffffffffffffffff... Ok, so that may well be my favorite track of yours so far. Holy sh*t, there is so much tasty packed into this song. Normally I'm not sure just how on-board I am with raunchy Grandmas but in this case I'd be happy for her to go on for 6-10 minutes rather than just 3!
I feared that I would lose a lot
of people with this "raunchy" track.
I thought it might be a little too raw
for the LM scene. I was wrong. So I guess
I can go ahead and let it all hang out. I think
you will find my next track pretty raunchy but on
I appreciate you giving my track a listen and humbly
apologize for such a late response.
PEACE...
a whole nuther level. I will probably post it after
the track Micky and I collaborated on.
I humbly apologize for the delay
with my response. I have been in a
cone of silence. To be honest I have
no idea how long I have been here but
apparently it's been at least 3 weeks. I
have still been writing so I should be
posting a new track real soon.
I appreciate your continued support and
encouraging comments. It's because of a
comment you made that I even use Vox. Thanks...
easty-boy! who allows such raunchy grannies and their nasty gets such freedoms? where are your property values?
a magnificent jam the rhythm section knows when to push and when to hang and gnarly mix of vocal/gtr/syn/organ lines is hot af. leaves a scar. watch out around those watsons!
I'm a Chicago transplant to the east.
Actually I identify as a "EarthMan".
Your feedback and Faves is what it's
all about. I'm honored by your response.
Hey Robbie.
Am I going, mental mate?
I have commented on this track before and faved it too!!
I can't see it now!
Anyhow this is a great track, my friend.
It is really brilliant.
Well done mate.
Maj
Robbie! Oh my goodness. I think it's time to put my guitar in the basement. Dust thoroughly, polish again, wrap in a soft blanket and then off into the suitcase for a long, deep sleep. Until we reach other galaxies where no one can steal the show from us, my wooden lover and I... sob
Don't put your Guitar away yet.
We still have Quadrants to explore.
We're definitely going to need a real
Guitar player(You).
Thanks for giving the track a listen.
smokin intro Rob, granny leading the way, that guitar is lit, you keep doing you brother, its always a pleasure to listen and comment to your work, this is out the box thinking, im sure you surprise yourself at times with the quality you produce
It's good to hear from you as always.
I try to write what's on my mind and
from my Soul.
Sometimes it turns out ok, sometimes
it doesn't. I'm just enjoying the experience.
Thank you for your listen and continuing encouraging
comments.
Short answer; No... I wish I could play Guitar, I'm a poser lol. I do try to think like a Guitar player when I write Guitar parts.
For the last couple of years I have been experimenting
with a Guitar sound from my DAW that has the Guitar sound
and feel I want. So far I have about 3, I think the most
important part is the settings using a Jazz or Stratocaster
VST. Also I like the Bluecat effects VST when I want feedback or other Lead Guitar type effects.
I really appreciate you giving my track a listen, encouraging comments and for the FAVE.

Also, I like how you are making chords out of the vox samples (I assume you are "playing" them).
Your music tends to always have that trippy "swirl" to it.

You are being waaaay to kind Ben.
oh wait, that was a joke.
All of my Vocals/Vox's are samples.
