Thanks for the listen and review, John ~ I really do appreciate it, bro.
This was one of the first tracks I recorded, so I'm not too pleased with it any more. I now consider it to be a bit simplistic for my tastes, so I'll probably redo it sometime soon.
awesome soloing! really cool, oldschool feeling in there! :)
I admire your skills, maybe I copy some licks, if you don't mind.
all in all solid, but fat track! great! :)
Yeah dude!!! Sick riff's and the beat makes me wanna slam dance!! The time changes are excellent and the solo has such a great tone to it. Favoriting this track man. Good stuff here.
This is really creative! the perfect balance of creativity and instrumental mastery complement each other with the production on the mixdown… outstanding work.
Shock and awe, B.J.
haha awesome, seems like Eshar is a celeb on looperman lol but as far as the track goes, very rich sounding, probably could have ended differently but very nice track, great job!
Yeah, the TTS gen is kinda tricky to work with (you have to spell out everything phonetically). And it generates a monotone, so you have to use an automation clip for pitch control. It still doesn't sound natural, of course, but it has a unique sound, IMHO. My track "Vampire's Blood" also uses the Fruity TTS gen.
Thanks for the listen and review, John. When guys like you and rei4Real give me kudos it makes my head swell up (LOL), but it gives me the motivation to keep going.
Someone on this site (I don't remember who right now) told me a while back that to really get a good sound you needed to automate the crap out of everything, so that's what I've been doing. Seems to be working so far....
Glad you enjoyed the track, Michael. And thanks for listening and reviewing, bro ~ I really do appreciate it.
Actually, I am a MAJOR Zappa fan (especially the "Shut Up And Play Your Guitar" albums). I always liked the way he mangled the standard chord progressions and waltzed in and out of key, so I guess I've been influenced a bit by it.
this is just so cool i have to definittly agree with the humps when he said its something alice cooper would do. in fact i had to go play goes to hell after listening to this track. dling it to the list. thanks
peace my talented friend!
Well, I'm a BIG Cooper fan (roadied for him for a couple of years), and a Zappa fan as well, so I guess I get some of their influence in my tracks now and then. Actually, though, I just like trying out new stuff. Glad that you liked this one, as I'm not all that satisfied with it. I think an update will be in order soon...
Well, as I've said before, just trying out something a bit different to keep my composition skills up. I think this one needs re-mastering, but I've got quite a few irons in the fire right now, so it'll have to set on the back burner for a minute.
Thanks for listening and reviewing, bro ~ I really do appreciate it, REALLY.
Yeah, I do like a plain ol' rock 'n' roll jam now and then, but my main love is Metal. I really do think it's important, however, to experiment with different genres ~ otherwise one gets stuck in a rut.
Thanks for the listen and review, bro ~ I really do appreciate it.
ha! love the metal infuence reminds me of the old school days ...besty boy, sir mix alot, run dmc ect.. op put some backing vocals it doowhaa doowhaa type thing? its a great track my friend its going into the play list for sure.
thanks for shareing.
This was actually basically a mic check, but I kinda liked the way it turned out. I just got a new mic for Xmas, so I may redo the vox at some point in the future.
As always, thanks for taking the time to listen and review, bro.
I was totally laughing my ass off at the end. Don't know if its your tone or the lyrics or just the idea of seeing your picture as the one spitting the lyrics. Totally digging the simplicity of this track. Thats what I think Hip-Hop should be, just for laughs and a good time. Keep up the great work Spyder X!
Thanks for the listen and review, bro. Yeah, this one started out as a Metal tune and just morphed into something entirely different. Glad you liked it.
I'm in the process of re-mixing some of my earlier stuff (while still working on new stuff as well, of course). I'm hoping to get a website going soon, and I want to be able to offer several CD's for DL, so I have a lot of work to do.
FPC (Fruity Pad Controller) loaded with the Gretch drum kit, added drum compression with FL Compressor and Drum Room reverb with FL Reverb2. That's more or less my standard drum setup for Rock, Metal, and Pop. If you don't use FL Studio though, I think you're out of luck, because I don't think FPC comes in a VSTi version.
There are plenty of great drum machine VSTi's out there though. If you don't have (or know of) any, let me know and I'll point you toward a few. Just shoot me a message through the Looperman message service....
I can't believe I haven't listened to this till now. Excellent guitar (slayer 2) work. Everything fits together perfectly. This is one of the best metal tracks on the loop for sure.
Brutal chops going there my man, nicely done. I really loved the reverse hi-hat sound you used, made the whole track more futuristic sounding. Truly a work of art there man.
Well, thank you very much for the listen and review, Mr. Johnson ~ I really do appreciate it.
Though Classic Metal is indeed my first love, I do try to steer away from the banal and trite. Even when writing a straight Metal track, I try to do something a little different to keep it interesting. Glad you enjoyed the track, my friend.

This is really good, exceptional work. Production is tight, tight, tight. Guitar work is spot on.

Either way its not helping the song at all.
