Description : A little tremolo guitar piece, not really Punk per se, but it doesn't fit any other genre. Entirely FL9 ~ no loops.
Guitar: Slayer2 VSTi. Bass: BooBass VSTi. Drums: FPC. Vocals: Supposed to be somewhat creepy, but turned out crappy instead ~ oh, well....
Walkin' in the dark
That was when I met my baby
That's where we fell in love
I found immortality
I gave her my blood
(He gave her his blood)
How I love the night
That's when I come alive
That's when my baby comes out to play
Now my biggest joy is watching the sun fade away
(He watches the sun fade away)
Now I shun the day
Because I live among the dead
We're just a happy family
They make me feel like I belong
They fill me with glee
(They're just a happy family)

this is just so cool i have to definittly agree with the humps when he said its something alice cooper would do. in fact i had to go play goes to hell after listening to this track. dling it to the list. thanks
peace my talented friend!
Well, I'm a BIG Cooper fan (roadied for him for a couple of years), and a Zappa fan as well, so I guess I get some of their influence in my tracks now and then. Actually, though, I just like trying out new stuff. Glad that you liked this one, as I'm not all that satisfied with it. I think an update will be in order soon...
I don't think the track is crappy at all. I really like it. I can't put my finger on who exactly it reminds me of, but I could sure see Zappa doing it. You did an awesome job with vstis, especially slayer. I fooled with it a little, started a track I have to finish, and thought it was a pretty good program. The lead guitar work was very nice. Drums were great. Lyrics and vocals worked for me.
Well, I don't think the TRACK is crappy, but the vocals leave a bit to be desired, IMHO. I've been upgrading my equipment and progs over the past few months though, so some re-mastering may be in order for some of my older tracks.
Zappa? Yeah, I can see that, considering I'm the world's biggest Zappa fan (LOL).
Slayer was alright for a while, but then I got Slayer2, which is infinitely better. For synthesized guitars, I now use exclusively Slayer2, RealStrat, DSK Electrik Guitarz (a freebie), Strat-A-Various (freebie), and SuperRiff (freebie) for electrics. I usually couple them with FL's Hardcore amp\effect VST or Shred amp\cab\effect VST (another freebie). Though I have about 30 amp\cab simulators, I think Hardcore and Shred are the two best.
Thanks a bunch for taking the time to listen and review, John. I really do appreciate it, bro.
This reminds me of something Alice Cooper would have done back in the day. The subject matter, the sound just put me in that frame of mind of early rock/metal. The bass sounded great and I liked the vocals. Nice track, catchy, cool, creepy.
You know, Wayne, I never really made the Cooper connection with this song till you mentioned it. You just might be right ~ I used to be a roadie for Cooper back in the 70's, and he's still one of my favorite artists. I think I need to redo some of the vox though. I just got a better mic and some new mastering progs, so some of my older stuff is probably going to get a "going over" sooner or later.
Thanks for the listen and review, bro. I really do appreciate it when talented guys like yourself take the time to check out my work.
I don't have a vocal mic. I have a cheap dictation headset. It sux, but there's not much I can do about it at the moment. I also record on an ancient VAIO laptop which doesn't have a full duplex soundcard, so I can't record vocals while listening to the music. Some people just aren't fortunate enough to have all the fancy equipment that others have.
Thank you, Brian. It always gives me a bit of a lift when a fellow metalhead has something positive to say about one of my non-metal tracks. Keep rockin', my brother!
Thanx, Michael. I'm thinkin' of maybe re-recording the vox in a lower key and cleaning up the chorus vox a bit. Glad you like 'em like they are though.
Appreciate the listen and review, bro.
Peace,
Spyder

Description : This is a tune I arranged entirely from loops and added in some of my own guitar playing at around 1:05.
It is basically a fast punk rock tune. Hope you like it,

Description : Here is Cthulhu with an iridescent punk crest made of tentacles jumping and drooling while playing the first song of his concert in the R'Lyeh Ultradimensional Arena on the occasion of the emergence from the waters. An electropunk-inspired song. Your comments are always very welcome.
