really cool! I really enjoyed this.

Reminds me of a few stuff I've done myself that sound similar to this.

Keep it up man, loving your creative flow.

Really like it! Really my stile of electronic/ambient music, reminds me a bit of Moby, but just my impression. I can't wait for the EP ^^

on Rasta by celestial1157
Interesting intro. I think the drums could have been introduced a sooner in the track but that's just my opinion. Also, I think the snare could have been more in your face as opposed to so far in the mix. The intro chords sound so intimate and soft and so having smooth drums nearer would have made "Rasta" feel more cozy and intimate. I also like the way some of the elements were pitched out of tune. It reminds me of many reggae songs my uncle used to blast at parties. Nice work.

the filth is definitely present..but there is also an efforless chillness to the track that is refreshing. that wobble is king shyte, tho - especially during the break -...very "move out the way" vibe. great drum work, as well.
loves it!

yeah i love jammin filthy dubstep, just cant seem to put it to track well. ima softie when it comes to producing dubstep lol. it took me a while to get the wobble exactly the way i wanted to be. not too mushy, good flow. thanks for the kind words O.D.
when i get more time, ill check out your new stuff!

on Dirty 30 by celestial1157
I like the ambient background, the only reservation I got about it is the main synth that is just hitting the same bah bah bah bah bah bah bahabahabaha repeatedly.
It's the same note being hit again on the bah bah bah bah bah bah and it's kind of monotonous...
I still see the appeal of it and all, the actual soundscape isn't plastic or cheap in anyway, but the main synth bugs me.

It's not bad though.

(continued) the mixing is good, everything is pretty crisp and pro sounding. I think the high synth/signature note hit is pretty out cold.

Keep doing your thing.
celestial1157
celestial1157 replied Unknown
yeah i totally understand about that main synth. it actually play 3 different notes but its hard to tell cuz its all in the same register. thanks for the kind words homie! appreciate it!

damn this is sick, definitely gonna check your other tunes once i get some sleep. this sounds pretty damn professional man, i gotta be honest. im still new to dubstep maybe a few months listening to it, but this is way better than some of the people who make big bucks for it
celestial1157
celestial1157 replied Unknown
well i appreciate the kind words homie!
i was once known here for my "celestial, heavenly 8bit vibe" as you will see in my other tunes. too bad im not making the big bucks like them! lol.
if you got any questions or need advice, im here to help homie. i love recruiting new prospects! look at mr DV8, he used to be a little tampon and now he eats his cereal with steriods!! haha jk. Dv8 is another quality dubstep producer to check out. take it easy homie

Faved within the first 30 seconds.

Man... I have been staring a freaking mixer for like ever right now, and this is very nice on my ears at the moment.

Definitely dig all your taste on this!

Yay!
celestial1157
celestial1157 replied Unknown
thanks man! im not much of a "grimey" dubstep producer, hence the name celestial, but i think this song shows my dirty side :D

on Lovers Who Uncover (DUB remix) by celestial1157
My rig is down right now, but I'm gonna do my magik on this track as soon as I'm up again.

Couple of artists you may need to investigate.

diplo - dubtop raning cd w/ santogold!
modeselektor - boogey bytes
eskmo - almost anything

This sound has something init got you that you've overlooked in the rest of your dubstep....? It's something to do with the raaw drum kit in it's natural environment that makes this track so badass. I would seriously look into that one aspect more and see how you could spread the idea across your tunes collectively. A bit more analog dirt, reverb, saturation in the master mix for that old school recording with volume and minimal headroom.

Love this...
celestial1157
celestial1157 replied Unknown
that sucks about your rig homie :/

and as far as the drums in the natural environment, it was honestly me just not knowing as much as i do now. lol. but yeah that snare is pretty dirty!! i been recently thinkin about that.
goin for different drum kit styles over different tracks. give some the dirt, give some the shine!

well let me know when you are up and going and ill send you the loops!
