Pretty schweet. I wanna tweak on them clavichord sounds. Mess with the melody, say pass it back and forth between the clavs and bass line. Go forth dubsters.
Im not to sure about the samples, but the production, mastering and synths are really good, they fit so well with the atmosphere of this song and really kick out some good bass. I especially love the higher pitch one that comes in at the end of every other bar, its great!
my man chud! hah
yeah i get what your sayin about the samples, but im working on incorporating samples into my songs.
experimenting you know.
it took me FOREVER to master this one. there were SO many different tracks to balance out.
but all in all, im satisfied with how it came out.
appreciate the criticism
Ive Never Really Hada Go at a dark, atmospheric tune.. but i like most of widdlers stuff.
I like that patch with the dimesion expander on or whatever that comes in at 32 seconds mate, ive allways tried to make something like that (Y) reminds me of Tomb raider on the ps1 for some reason lmfao.
Id add more bits of percussion in there, eg. little clicks, claps, snares and shakers, to build abit more of an scene, like the sorta samples that, you dont even realise they are in there until you play it back three times lmao :)
yeah i jam widdler, caspa, rusko, n-type, ooah, benga.
all that dubstep music.
for that "tomb raider" sound, i used a Sytrus ambience pad for it.
and i get what you mean about addin extra nitches and percussions. i know it needs more fullness to it, i just cant find the right percussion sounds.
i have been looking EVERYWHERE.
but all in all, thanks for the review. much appreciated!
Nice track dude, loved the break after 2 min. it was a bit shame for me it didn't continue, it was begging for a big chorus in the end in my opinion. great work!
yeah thanks for the kind words man.
yeah possibilites in this song seemed limited to me being they were all samples.
thanks for the advice.
appreciate it!
well typically dubstep is posed to sound "grimey aka dark"
so its good that you say it has a dark side lol.
and the synth parts are actually samples from gameboiX (who is also a looperman member)
this is a pretty cool track.. i'm not to into that lead synth though.. maybe add a touch of overdrive and run it through a modulated band pass filter... but thats me :D
This is a really cool track. I love the way you use vocal/sample inserts. Well mixed and production is great. I enjoyed this very much. Thanks for sharing. PS the matrix is my fav film.
thanks once again man!
this song all came about when me and a friend were talking about good movies.
the matrix, of course, came up in the discussion.
so i looked for quotes that could tell a story if correctly put together.
i believe the song gives off the vibe of what it would be like if the matrix really existed.
This track is very clever, I loved the vocal inserts. Nice feel to the whole thing. The chop and change works for me. Maybe just a bit too much reverb on the beat in places, just personal choice I know. Great track, well done.
thanks man!
i really appreciate it.
me and my friends are always quoting that movie, Hot Rod, so i figured id test out something new by using movie samples since i dont have a committed vocalist.
and thanks for the constructive criticism on the reverb issue.
its comments like that, that will make me or anybody better
thanks for the review lol.
and yeah i was going for an 80's feel in this song.
so for you to say it sounds like it, makes me feel like i did my part haha

yeah i was really picky about the bass track for this one.
and surprisingly i didnt have any anger to vent out. haha

some nice conscious lyrics at the outset.."Down with the FED !"
i took a good minute to finish this one up.
i can speak my mind about two things in this one.
gov't and dubstep
on Govt by celestial1157
yeah i worked REALLY hard on this one to make everything balanced and mastered well.
