well, whether the title begat the composition or vice versa, this is beautiful arrangement - it's smooth and easy to kick back with, but i always appreciate the inventiveness deeper listening reveals in your music. fav sound - the 'flute' trilling!!
Well that's better!! Sweet things happening now, the drums sound great, the whole thing does actually. Great guitar playing in this btw. Loved the intro, horns were awesome. Cool as always!
Hi
I love this, the blend and true musicianship shining. I find it interresting and thrilling, like a journey in tones.
I wonder a bit about the drums, they don't sound as solid as I hoped for, sounds a bit distorted and a little too bright.
Having said that, great playing and I find myself a bit envious of your talent.
Take care

jamie, hope you are well sir! like this ambient workout alot and I'm thinking that perhaps the work we did so far and the tracks with Koukotsu..where is she??...had some influence on this new direction you have undertaken...on another note, I'll mail you directly, thanks....
hope all is well n your world my fellow six stringer!
Mate you never let me down when I comme into checkout your tunes, always leave feeling so much better about the world...This one very special relaxing piece, synths and pad sweet, well I love everything about thisone, thats all I can say sorry, instant fav right from the very start...Peace and massive respect Jamie, mate this is your genre for sure...Cheers....Estefano....
..oh my yes indeed!..as soon as i saw the title i jumped on this..superb mate..i could live on this if it had an intravenous line!..crystal production..i aspire to make this kind of jam..instrumentation and arrangement all top shelf..quality..i'll be spending more time here..thank you!
i think you've got a trilogy or a suite or something on yr hands here - this takes v1 into a dreamtime - and i'm dreaming a summation culmination what have you of these approaches... the two versions make statements that beg for resolution... keep going!! (gonging?) even if it has to be put up in parts...
hello, Jamie - loving the transcendant DNA / string twines (quadropines?) of the lead lines here - the percussive or gamelan line is really buried way in the mix - it would be great to hear that aspect developed a bit further...
gamelan fusion is mind- and spirit-bending stuff - ever hear any Lou Harrison from the 40's/50's?
Thanks for commenting Michael. I really like Lou Harrisons stuff which I'm fairly certain I was turned onto by you in a previous comment you made about him when reviewing one of my tracks - so many thanks for that!
Mate what a groovy funky piece, you have a very minimalistic track, but everything works so well together, to give the fullness and variety, so love the synths and effects you have used, guitar is spot on, beat gives it a funky but also relaxing feel to the track, excellent work Jamie as always, massive fav dude, I can understand why so many reviews, this piece deserves them...Peace n Respect...Estefano....
Wow, this is pretty cool! Loved the vibes and the sound of your guitar and the great playing too! The drums had a nice live sound, how do you do your drum tracks?
Thanks for the listen Wayne! My drums are done in numerous ways - sometimes I use redrum - you have something similar in Ableton with Impulse http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmbYeD43hWs Sometimes I play them directly into the DAW via my Guitar synth but on this track I diced and sliced some REX files!
Cheers, Jamie.
hey jamie - i know i have allready commented on this one - but also wanted to tell you how much i really appreciate this piece - after listening to it last time I went on youtube and did a little studying on the whole tone scales/ chords - then when i went out to Utah to play 4 shows with my band (Grateful Dead cover band) I asked the guys if we could do an experimental jam each night with the wholetone in mind - we ended up with some great jams, but as i come back and listen to this one it gives me such appreciation for your work - what a great work in making the wholetone approach so incredibly melodic and listenable!! Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm glad you like it! I guess I like your stuff because it reminds me a little of that golden era of music when the Dead, Little Feat etc, plied their trade!!
Cheers jfw! Great sound here. I really appreciate the way you acheived the liquid and wet characteristics without water samples. Nice choice of title, it fits well, the delay gives a certain mental picture of many elements.
I enjoyed the nice jazzy synth part around 3:12 and your guitar playing fit very well. The chord choices were very well thought out, it gives a depth to the piece...diminished right?
Like the quick start. Caught my ear straight away. This is a very nice track with great guitar and percussion. You've do an excellent job in creating images in a persons head. I like that man. Keep up the great work. Again, love the percussion...
