I'm sending you an email, as there are things outside reviewing I want to say, and to ask you.
This project is amazing, timely, and resonates with that "of course" as a concept. Something that HAD to be done, you know?
I love this track. I'd love it even if I didn't know what it was, but knowing that it's a representation of pi, I love it even more. A capital "M" Mystery if there ever was one. The circle as a form that can only be approximated in mathematical equations. Uncertainty as a solid.
Thanks again n0mad! No problems at all, I am available for any questions you may have. I tend to become pretty obsessed with numbers and PI has always been the favorite. Thanks much my friend. Glad that it sounded nice to you.
thanks for the review mate.
i do have reason 4 but i am a bit of an amataur in music makin but i enjoy it.
love this track aswell by the way.
any tips on how to get the most out of reason 4.
i dont know how to get samples from elsewhere and use them in reason do they have to be a certain file format. help would be apreciated much. thanks keep it up.
Thanks for the comment toxxicity! No problems my friend, if you have any questions on how to do something in Reason, please feel free to message me at siensystem@gmail.com. I can help as much as I can no probs at all.
To use samples in Reason they just need to be in either .wav or .aiff format or in .rex format (which is Reason's DrRex loop player format). All of these formats you can use with NNXT, NN19 and Redrum.
Anyway, just let me know when you have a question. I can exchange examples and things like that with better instructions/descriptions.
You and Shaub Yaella are doing some very interesting work along somewhat similar lines. He's done some work with algorithms that strikes me in very much the same way.
It's exciting as it reveals fundamental beauty underlying all. No surprise really once one realizes that it's all about frequency. Interpret and translate those frequencies into ones we can hear and appreciate, and the forms are revealed in spectacular ways.
Something rather prophetic about this approach.
Faved this one, as I can't imagine a better sonic representation of either the planet or the son of Chronos.
Thanks n0mad. You selected probably the one from the Universe project that has become my favorite. I built the software that performs conversions in a few ways. I'd have to write allot to really tell you how all works but mainly it's based on some subjects of wavelengths, spectroscopy and light properties. I'm in the process of trying to complete a v1 that I can release for others to use. Thanks again, I'm glad that you liked it.
some nice ideas brother.. all most a underground dnb sound going on in here.. I would have liked to hear a little more sub but other than that it's a perfect track that is very individual.. nice .. keep 'em coming brother
this is somthing u can play in a chase scene in a action pic or made a AMV(anime music video) for it.the track sounds a like venetain snares stuff(love that guy)het let me know how you made this was it glitch effects or what?
two thumb and two big toes up LOL
PEACE LOVE ADN TECHNOFOREVER
PS love what u did with koukotsu remix two her track great work too!
Thanks DJNoSleeves! Greatly appreciate you for coming by and listening and providing some great words! Means allot. Thanks.
About the way it as done: Basically, about 90% of the track was done in Reason. The drums using Redrum first to create a few loops, then the loops thrown back in using DrRex and NNXT. The bass-lines were all done using Subtractor (some rendered and thrown into NNXT) as well as some of the SFX sections and pads. The distortions were done in parts using Scream for some things like the intro as well as the scratchy vinyl sounds and also for some of the SFX. To achieve a few different effects of the distortions I passed different sections of the audio files in Scream using different Body and Damage types. The piano and choir were done in Sonar using Rewire and also several sections cut and passed through several distortion units with different parameters. Some distortions, specifically the "harsh" ones I used a waveshaper. To accomplish the panning and distortions on certain parts these were basically done by cutting sections and effecting them, then throwing the sections back using a few phasers in sequence. For some things I used a delay with short delay times (in the ms), especially for that "metallic" sound in certain areas. The glitch effects were done by two different methods: using NNXT and cutting/pasting of audio files. Allot of things were sequenced, then rendered, affected and then re-rendered and brought back in. I think allot of it was mainly just experiments of ideas and it all turned out pretty good.
I love this track..

It's cool I like it! not bad! I would actually listen to this! I liked how it started and how it ended.. it had an actual progression.."

not a very helpful review.
I think you are more talented than you know holmes.
:) Thanks man! I really want to upgrade this one sound-wise. I only need 2 things to be able to open the files! I'm just happy that I actually found the track after all this time.
That is an awesome idea, hate to say it I never would of thought image to audio would be possible let alone thought of it. The track it's self is very chill and gives you a descriptive idea of the universe concept. right on man
tryin to get a feel for amibent for the past weeks now so i can make relaxing track like this.maybe u can give some advice on how to make somthing this beatiful thanks.cool track sein.
Yeah, you can really tell you've put the effort in here. Unfortunately I had to listen to this quietly, but mixing sounds absolutely fine. I'm enjoying that mega glitchy beat, sounds like it was more work than a few copy+pastes. Usually I would've said something about those horrible fake violins, but somehow it really works in this track. It was a great melody, and very nice subtle harmony with the keys underneath.
Wow! I love "mood music". You got a big sound going with this one. Nice. Love how all of the synths/keys play out on this one. Nice production on the mixing too. I felt like I was standing on the edge of a cliff looking acress the Grand Canyon! Freakin cool song man. This one's definitely going on my favs!
First off, I liked the way it started, that was neat! I'm not known for being an expert in Trance, lol, but this was a very well produced song. I listened to it on headphones and the mix was real even and nicely panned. All the effects were well executed on the instruments and there seems to be quite a few here. This was a real pleasure to listen to!
What's truly amazing here is that it authentically captures the "mood" of the images I've seen. Something regal or noble happening behind this ambiance.
I think much of art is like that, whether the sculpture unlocking the form within the stone, or even the lapidarist who facets the crystal into a jewel.
yeah these glitch tracks can be tough to make but with patenice u plulled it off, nice to see u used advice from reviewers it make us better when when accept cirtsim good or bad, this track is okay its different form all the other glitch song(u adding the soft panio part to the glitch track I meant)i'll the update a B++
Thank you sir. This track certainly was a bit of a pain. Since all things were done the old-fashioned way: splicing, cutting, pasting, etc. But glad it turned out ok. It was also my very first track with the glitch-style genre so hopefully for later projects I can apply what I learned a bit better and broaden them further. Though I'm not certain I'd like the experience again. lol. Anyway, much appreciate your kind words.
Thanks ALX_SIX, Thanks so much for coming by and commenting! Really appreciate it. I have honestly never heard of Apex Twins, but I take it they are great? :) Well, thanks again, much love.
totally agree with DextDee; this is some of the cleanest [while still being filthy] glitch i think i have ever heard. you have so many elements in this track, but they do not seem to be in competition with one another. the break at 2:00 is refreshing...a moment to close your eyes and breathe.
outstanding composition.
uber kudos!
Ooh Oasisduke on my page! :) Thanks so much my friend. Greatly appreciate you for coming over and commenting. I have allot of work to do to get allot of the great suggestions into the next revision but hopefully soon. :)
Thanks very much my friend. Glad you liked the melody sections. I spent allot of days, trying different notes and variations and this one was the one I was happy with in the end.

PS, this is just a straight up observation, dupe up the strings, and then reverse some, add some delay and then on a few and some cavernous reverb...
after you have an ensemble of string samples, start to intermingle them along the tracks progression?
just a thought.
You know how I feel about this track lol
