Honestly, I don't really listen to a lot of funk or jazz. Not because I don't like it, but because I just never really think to. I really need to change that. I don't have a lot in my experience to compare this to, but from what little I DO know, it kind reminds of some early Herbie Hancock. Not that it needs comparison, but sometimes it's nice to know that your work holds weight.

I don't know the exact why, but this track of you brought to my mind Maceo Parker, excellent as always, everyone in the band is a true artist and master of their instruments. Simply awesome.

great intro Mark, i love it as it picks up the bounce and slap, great bass too, instruments purr as usual, guitars brass keys and drums, liked that bassy transition, then its all out till home, i know this will be improved and the instrument volumes will be softened in places and given there own space maybe, i liked that guitar riff tin the second half, that was lit, but i here the makings of another Jazz Juggernaut

Jazz is not my genre, as such but I appreciate the guitar work on this and the flow of instrumentation - v well produced and a very well-rounded sound

This instrumental tells a compelling story. I dont know how you did it, but those first few notes of your masterful intro perfectly capture the entire backstory. The interplay between the flute and the horn is brilliant. As far as contemplative jazz goes, it doesn't get much better than this. Well done, Mark!

That sounds absolutely fantastic again. It's all you. When I listen, I always picture a video of you playing all those instruments. That would be it! I especially love the moments when the strings come in... that's when the sound really opens up. Believe it or not... I typed this comment rhythmically to your track... I couldn't help it!

A really enjoyable listen. Lots going on. Plenty of change/dynamism. Had it on whilst doing some graphic design and it just flowed nicely in the background.

Amazing!

This is a classic. Every single musician who played an instrument on this one is a beast. Those sax and flute riffs and leaks are not of this world. This one is easily a timeless classic.
Enough respect to the whole band.
