Thanks Anthony! Its great to know everything here is in order according to your perspective. The fave is appreciated in a big way. Have a spectacular and wonderful weekend my friend!
Peace,
Hello Flat2Forge. If the time and labor we invest in what we do musically can bring us to a place where we can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like the peace and relaxation you mentioned............ Then that's time well spent! The stop, feedback, and fave is appreciated.
Peace,
Hello Mark,
This is pretty! sweet, you certainly took care of business on this delicious! track wow! talk about super duper smooth! & the saxophone sounds awesome when it comes in at around 1:43 what a nice! touch. I particularly like the transition at 2:16 now that was just heavenly sounds to my ears. You are showing off here indeed :) like the rise and fall beautiful nuances through out. The track has a whole lot of sophistication sprinkled over it which is certainly my kind of vibe!...AMAZING! you know I say what I mean & mean what I say. This is Outstanding! Work! Bravo!
Angelus!:) Greetings and salutations. Thank you much for stopping by and sharing your detailed observations. The sections you mentioned happen to be my favorites too. The fave is received graciously. Your continued support is very encouraging to say the least. Be safe and stay blessed!
nice work Mark, great drums , trumpets are fly the bass is so deepand underpins the track keys are great the guitars are bouncy and vibey and the vocal is a catch too, short piece from you, i didn't even look at the length but it stood out to me immediatley, in a good way because although it was unexpected it so worked and that is the beauty of listening, you tend to know what to expect from the regulars but never expect the unexpected, music mix sound production is always spot on with you, it was a great listen to an old friend, well done mate
Thx Paul! Your feedback is valued big time. I even amazed myself with the length.
At the radio station, most listeners were commuters so the long tracks were welcome. Im kinda digging the shorter ones. Thanks for the time taken for this listen.
I was trying to configure which instrument to give a plus and then came the vocals. What a superb band ! Every moment of the song has been a pleasure to my ears. I enjoyed the brass and I was astonished by a great work on the bass and the drums. I am a fan dear sirs.
Best regards, Anthony
Anthony thank you for stopping by. Your warm reception, and comments are helpful. Your compliments and fave are received graciously.
Have an amazing weekend.
Hi Mark,
There is time to listen in to this FANTASTIC!!! track, I have to say, it has such a great groove! to it & yes indeed I hear those old-school flavors shining through. This is a fine piece of work as always, very much Enjoyed!...Keep up the brilliant! Work!
Hey Angelus. Thank you for the feedback. This is one of those lay the ideas down type of tracks. The fact you enjoyed the listen and the fave means a lot.
Have a peaceful and enjoyable weekend.
It seems I'd never heard this one before! Yes, that guitar is fire, but I also especially enjoyed the bass which is just funky and smooth. Great stuff as always Mark!
Hi Mark,
That's absolutely amazing again! It's incredible how you're able to pull something like that off. I imagine how hard a real drummer would have to work to keep it up. But after recently watching the entire live recording of Coltrane's "My Favorite Things," I realized what people with the right ambition are capable of.
4go De Chao is a fantastic, absolutely entertaining trip at the highest musical level! You're completely in your element.
Cheers,
Micky
Greetings Micky! Your stop, comments, and presence is an high honor. Latin drumming is extremely busy. Check out Horacio Hernandez on You Tube.
Coltrane's "My Favorite Things" is by far my favorite version of that song. I will check the documentary.
The journey aspect for this track was my full intent. I appreciate the time you took out for this listen. I'm happy you enjoyed what you heard.
Peace,
Mark
Alright! now Damn! Mark you truly are putting in the work on this one it sounded FAB! to my little ears before but you have finessed it big time. I love the percussions I really do but man, the groove makes me move! ok, this is definitely telling me I need to go take a trip to one of my fave spots apart from the carribean and it's Brazil, man this track sounds completed to me but onwards and upwards as they say and I'm guessing you still feel you need to tweak some more but as far as I can hear, stick a fork in it, it's done! but in any case Excellent! improvements on something already brill! WTG!
Haha Angelus! Work Work Work! This one has been given me the flux! But thats my zone LOL! Youre kind to take time for another stop and critique. Finally the missing pieces are coming into place. Stay tuned my friend. Peace.
Drum and percussion groove is hot!!! Cymbals are alive!! Your mixes and grooves are sensational to say the least. All soloiing is on point. Very Red Heat!!! Love it my friend. ? BPM?
UE Thanks! You're the Latin aficionado! This one is a beast to tame. I came in at a straight 115 BPM. Compare this to the early reference arrangement wise. You will notice a lot of changes. The fave is truly appreciated. Peace.
Thanks my friend for the vote of confidence/compliments about my vocals, I was born singing haha...glad you liked my track. I just love to sing, always have done. Started writing & singing from a young age & for other people then when i left college joined a band and then went into studio to record which I like I've always loved the sound of a live band, it's just different, hearing the live instruments played, we travelled quite a bit though my parents were little nervous of me being away from home, I was always looked after by the band members my parents always supported me. So I have quite a bit of experience that I'll always look back on with fondness. Nowadays I write and sing simply because I enjoy it, that's what music should be, FUN! Anyways I digress...Thanks Again & Stay Safe.
Angelus! Interesting! I get the impression you are where you would like to be musically. Theres nowhere to go but upward and onward. Keep doing what you do the way you do it! Be safe.
Great time Mark. Beautiful theme and a great band. Everyone contributed with their talent to this jazz masters' piece. I really enjoyed the listen.
Best regards, Anthony
Hi Mark,
The only thing on the ground/floor is me dancing so early this morning before heading out. Your EXCELLENT! track here is mint, loving the brass instrument and the plethora of nuances throughout hels my attention, I felt like I was in cuba just enjoying some good music...in any case as always you hit a home run! once again my friend you always lay it down *pat* when it comes to these AWSOME!!! jazzy ensemble's. I totally enjoyed my early listen before starting my day , Gotta Run! Kudos!
Angelus:)! You just went ahead and dropped something delicious! Im going to get back to my point on your track in just a minute.. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your thoughts and the fave you gave. The support you give is treasured highly. Im glad you got the day jumped off with my track. It needs more tweaking and some rearranging. Stay posted.
Now back to that something delicious. Im wrecked? Why? First let me say your vocals are par excellence! You know the smoky and sultry vibe you set out.
But Still Im wrecked. Now I know Im being redundant. Thats the price I had to pay for listening to your track.
So next time WARN ME IF YOURE GONNA SCAT! I heard your exit! Im finished. Be safe.
