This is classic work Mark
there is not an instrument i dont like in here but have to say bass is my fav tho
great job on the track man i enjoyed my listen :)
The overall mood of the world seems to be in a pretty dark place, and its a struggle not to let it affect how Im feeling. There's no helping the fact that Im embarrassed to be an American right now, and sometimes im ashamed to be human in general, but i have a secret weapon, and thats music. I enjoy taking some time to sit and listen to the work everyone here in the community is doing, and get my dose of inspiration while im at it. Your song here took me in completely and for a few minutes all that mattered was the journey I was on. Its been awhile since i felt that, thank you Mark. Ive learned alot about jazz in general from your music, but its awesome that you use those saxophones in a way that makes them interesting to me. This one is my fav ive heard of yours so far, and ill likely come back to listen again when i get home and kick back. You helped me shake off a not so great mood, too. Thanks for sharing!
Pnnywze I feel you. thanks for stopping thru and sharing your thoughts. Also you sharing how positive influences and interactions can shift life back to it's rightful place. I'm beyond glad what I've done here has peaked your interest. That's HUGE! Thanks for the stop, listen, and compliments.
Mark (kingm77) and I are of similar age (me just a few years older). Mark did not have a brother growing up nor did I. We have similar interests and goals. So, we decided to be brothers. No not, "Hey bro, what's up". The brother we never had. That said, I haven't been on LM for a couple of weeks. I didn't see this posted until today. I am the worse critic because I am amazed by everything you produce. I am a true jazz/fusion fan. Talk to you soon. Take care brother, Cosmo
Cosmo! Greetings. Im glad you got the the opportunity for this listen. The compliments are received humbly. Ill be checking your latest creation shortly.
Excellent work and great VST instruments. Of course when one knows the articulations of the instrument they play with a VST then everything is surprisingly realistic, like with this song. Absolutely fantastic job Mark, I think we all here on LM are totally proud about your presence among us...you are a great musician and composer.
Best regards, Anthony
Greetings Anthony! Theres another level and dimension of sound and articulations that can be extracted from virtual instruments. It takes time and patience. Its good to know the effort is heard and appreciated. The compliments and feedback carry high value.
Thanks for your time and camaraderie!
Hello Mark, What an interesting song! Definitely some serious skill on display here. But that's been the case with every song we've heard from you thus far. I like to see an artist revisiting their older work to give it a bit of a touch up, as well. Thanks for sharing!
The M Squadd! Your check in listen and critique with favorable comments is no small matter. With your level of creativity, the feedback you left is a great honor.
Amazing track as always and fantastic guitar work - but I also always really appreciate your drums.
I've bought EZdrummer, so I can now play on my midi kit and get it to sound good! Thanks to you, more or less ;)
BB What's good? Your stop always does the heart good. Discipline really brought in the missing elements here. And in a huge way.
EZ Drummer 3 is a real BEAST. One of my favorite features that's not found on many VST drums is the ability to bring in your own sounds. So what that means is I can record a butter knife hitting a tile floor and then import that into EZ Drummer 3. Or craft a custom kit using my own drum sounds not found in EZ3. The only other one that I've found to do that is Superior 3.
Your stop, compliments, and conversations are always invigorating buddy
Oh yeah! I really dig this track, total 1970's Jazz Fusion flavored for sure. The guitar is definitely fire/dope as hell! The bass work and the Rhodes really make this track. You definitely have placed the right stuff in the right, giving all of the instruments their moments in the sun. The instruments aren't all fighting each other for a spot, and that's huge! Balance is the other key, which is perfectly done and it all sounds amazing! This track gives me Idris Mohammad/Roy Ayers/Ronnie Laws/Return To Forever/early Herbie Hancock-Headhunters vibes. I could go on, but I'll spare you what you already know lol. Strong work, you've got something beautiful here and I hope your output never stops!
Backscatter! Now Now Now! Is it that obvious? The names you dropped and their influences are permanently etched on my music brain! Especially Idris! So ok you pegged it just right. This session was a complete joy with Discipline.
Thanks for your stop and listen. I just uploaded a remastered version. You did a thorough zoom in and I promise to keep em coming right.
We're no expert on Jazz, but we know when something is dope - and this track definitely is. Nice instrumentation! Gonna have to check out more from you dude
Greetings to TheMonzerSquadd. The Loop has one of the best communities in existence. Seriously, when an ol jazz head can catch the ears of the Trap and UK Drill rulers THATS A HIGH HONOR. The open ears says it all. Thanks for checking what I've done here and the high approval.
My jaw is on the floor sir, this is beauty in sonic form! It sounded amazing on my soundbar. Those vocals were an excellent surprise and a perfect ending. Bravo! Love your style, and can pick up on our influences. Just can't say enough!
Greetings Backscatter. Thank you for checking my track. For me its wonderful to know when the writing, composing, and mixing hat comes off and the engineers hat goes on the outcome is good. I greatly appreciate the comments and compliments.
Hello Mark - your tracks are pure original ART !!!!!!!!!
And the track sounds perfect even on a cheap set of general use computer speakers, meaning I thought I was listening with studio monitors...
Cheerssssssssssssss !!
Fantastic fanisatt! Thanks for checking the update. Im working on so much stuff if my DAW was a stove it would be a 12 burner! Its great your speakers got a free upgrade too lol! The feedback is helpful in a huge way. Stay safe.
