Hi there Neil,
Wanted to get here and listen to your latest song as it has been over a year or nore. Shame on me.
The intro here took a long time to get started as I didn't hear anything for maybe 15 seconds and was wondering what was wrong. But then it got going. The overall volume is very low compared to standard songs volume.
Otherwise, it is an interesting piece. The Bass does hold it together as another reviewer said.
Gray Floyd returns :) Very nice. Love the guitar work on this one and the chilled vibe. I just picked up a copy of Samplitude 11.5 Producer Edition and so far I'm really impressed. Looks like you have it pretty well figured out judging by this track.
Outstanding effort my friend. Great to have you back on the old Loop.
thanks bear, i am loving sampro 11.5!!! it is perfect for me and my "old school" recording background... i could not be more happy with it... plus, now that i know that you have it, there is a function to email an entire project... so lets get grey floyd back together!!!
all the best to you and yours, always, neil
cosmic vibes like tribes minds flock together to tell the world soon that cast art finds a home inside the open blinds see the window close or close in run quick before lost then question wonder why only darkness fills the eyes time table spins the earth so that the plant would wade busy trust only the lame and lazy will turn to to find themselves dizzy ... this a true sight of smooth sound art .... much peace to thee indeed
Another stellar effort my friend. I really liked the section with the "rock guitar chugs" hit :) Very nice and a great way to start the day. And as always, superb bass line anchoring things.
Hey Neil, this one needs to be tagged "must listen with headphones"...the mix is stellar. The bass line really is the glue that holds this all together. Outstanding effort my friend. I really enjoyed this one.
Ahhh, it is nice to hear some of that Pink Floyd on steroids once again :) Looks like all the time away has cleared the cobwebs and created some space for some new material. I agree with Dave, a little additional bass and this one would be spectacular. As always, it is great to hear your work. I hope you have been well.
Hey Neil..interesting groove mate..I'm enjoying the guitar and I'm sure you could expand this into a full blown rock opera! haha...I tell you what though,I do think this track could hit another level with some added big, bigger, biggest bass...but not the sort I do! lol..It's got this hybrid modern feel(the song)and including some fully contemporary (sick)wobble,or sine bass is the way to go..you know that super speaker busting low end sub madness that's prevalent in some of today's more avant-garde music...I have no clue how they do it,but that's what it needs maybe....good to see ya back in the saddle mate!..cheers Dave :)
Hey man..good to see you still pumping it out!(you went off the reservation for awhile there)....whoa!...some serious guitar sounds happening from the spacestationwagon..great layering..this is a cool sounding track mate!...just enough funky style mixed with some acid rock with a whimsical avant-garde feel...Neil's at the wheel!..cheers bud Dave :)
This is great! Damn - sounds like my summer, as well. Cheers to that. Awesome track here - out of curiousity how was it put together? It all sounds live and organic.
I'm wondering how much of my listening to this track is flavored by having looked at your profile and seen what you listen to. Kind of like if Joe Strummer and Adrien Bellew got together with Parliment for a session. Really glad this one popped up on the Featured Track frame!
Open the doors on this wagon and I hope there's room, cause I'm along for the ride. Cool mix Neil, the funk rock thing is cool, the percussion is excellent as well. You play well man - mucho praise! thumbs up. peace.
Dude! Ok first of all let me say that it's not because i have a fifth of spiced rum in my gut! but you freaking freaked me out with this one! (performing secret operations) what are you looking into my basement windows? and I live on the third floor!!!!!!
loved the ending! "(absolutely)".................JG
Sounds good man!..Strong vocal presence..I like this new direction dude..be careful..you might get a hit single!...it's good to see someone holding the creative flame aloft..it's also good to see you back in circulation!...cool stuff..cheers Dave :)
Hey Niel...Heavy track!....somebodies been dropping peyote I think or your interface has a dimensional circuit built into it lol...I think this is placed in the wrong genre though...I'd categorise this as Bent Rock...The Osmonds now that's Weird...or Cliff Richards that's about as Weird as you can get!.....cool stuff from the Space Zone ...cheers Dave :)
it's a short track but you are right it is heavy by the laws of physics all things in space have greater mass. lol. have you not been on holliday somewhere cool? i'll be waiting for some pictures! Thanks for desifering my construct! neil
I am going to have to let my head size recede before leaving for church, I won't be able to get out of the door! words cannot express how proud i am to have a song done in my honor! thanks everyone! i am actually getting cramps in my cheeks from smiling so hard!'And yes I will fix the ending!"
