Symbols, names, practices, and rituals. Religion is the opiate of the masses and I choose to smoke it blindfolded, so to speak.
I think the voc sam is strangely appropriate, even as silly as what the man is saying is.
Space, I've never been there, but I'm going to act like I know all about it!
Kinda the same with the afterlife, but this isn't a soapbox so...
As for the song, would it be safe for me to venture to say that you're a big fan of David Lynch? It has this corner Cafe jukebox vibe going on (similar to the stylings of the director). Almost as if it's meant to be background, filler music. Even with the dialog of Hubbard going on. It kind of seems as if even it is coming from the TV and secondary to some scene going on inside the diner. Like the multiple conversations going on at the tables between mystery people. This would be great for a made-for-TV movie or something. Perhaps a drama or suspense? I dunno, but that's what it made me feel. Later on!
Aww man, ya just hadta start this with a sample of Blagojevich or "Bag'o'Sh*t" as I like to call him, didn't you!? Anyways, the reason I picked this song is because of the title. It reminded me of this other song of a similar name by the trio Bozzio-Levin-Stevens on their ablum, Situation Dangerous. A really awesome progressive all-instrumental rock CD that's has a so named song which is pretty b*tchin. Check it out if you haven't already.
Now as for this song, intro sample aside- I liked the other vocal sample that ya used. And it's tone was kickin. The Guitar riffs are of the same caliber that I've come to know from you. The minimal (highs mostly) usage of drums was nice. The simple electro-bluesy basses ya had gave this a kind of retro dancy vibe. Thanks for sharing man. Later on!
donnie-i always love to hear from you! the intro is actualy michael jackson. when soulfull sent me the original track "dangerous" it reminded me of michael and the vocal recording i had.
thanks for taking the time,
peace, neil
As soon as I heard thisd track I thought its gotta be in a film. Then I read your description and realized it is !!. Very atmospheric and chilled, I like how you have things "hanging" musically. It adds to the atmsophere. Be great to see the visual to your track somehow.
I need to give this to the GYM Teachers so he can use it in Health Classes lol I agree with MrE --cool - weird- but he vocal clips are the bomb! Nice work!!
thanks for the nice words about my first song...but wow this song is creepy but in an amazing sense love your work keep up the good sound
your friend Matt
Sweet sound! Not a bad audio transfer at all. I remember the time of cassette tape, that is what I cut my teeth on in the audio world; boomboxes and cassette recorders. I enjoyed taking the trip with you in the "Waybackwhen Machine".
it's funny to think we "jammed" with a boombox recording our ideas and songs, and that was high tech! gladd i was able to keep alot of my old stuff for th memories!
tnks for tuning in,
neil
i really liked it nice and mellow but the distortion part kinda knock me off beat but thats my taste i dont care for the real overdriven crunchy sound, still enjoyed it
Hi there Neil,
Strange things going on in your head there! Are you ok? :-)
It's cool to try out new things and toys. That's the way to make us all sound different and not listening to all the same typical sounds we are use to hearing everyday.
So I'd have to say it sounded good and refreshing, and keep on experimenting as it'll give me new ideas as well.
Hi Neil
Im sitting here recovering from a bad migraine so im still very sensitive to sound and light and then I went and listened to this!!! sitting with my eyes shut just lettin it bounce and swirl about in my head some mad sounds here but it all works good and if its out of your comfort zone all I can say is well done mate!
Regards
Krook
ahh the soothing madness! my doctor recomends wild crazy music for my migraine (i get hem quite often)! glad you enjoyed i made the weird background sound with these 2 cool stand alones, 'darkness theory' and 'sunra' look them up they are freeeeeeee!

Me I can't dance to save myself....(now that I don't drink..I've got my inhibitions back!)...but this had me grooving and a movin'...Cool!...cheers Dave :)
Dance Hell eh? Wow... Something new to discover each time I listen to it.. :-) I think you have a new Genre of music on your hands. :-) Can Call it "Dance Hell". :-O Digging it!
i picture "WALL-e" taking some robot acid and going down a back alley and ending up in a futuristic opium den...a couple old fat men in a dark corner of the room drinking sake and listening to this great track.
This is bad! Im talking bad meaning good!! not bad meaning bad! or I could have just said "wow thats a nice track," it reminds me of like the first mortal kombat game, def. nice arrangement man, peace

yeh, this is very easy to listen to, cool guitars very spacey sorta like a wild ride through the galaxy with a couple of tv broadcasts being heard or caught out in the spacetimecontinuum.
Whoa! Kinda hear YES, Police, ELP. Remember DBX and Dolby? This is really clean. You must of tranfered it to your computer and used it. I use Adobe 1.5 and when I figured out how to noise reduction, I thought I died and went to Stobacor!! Gotta love your roots! Loved this! Glad to inspire!
thanks man. i've been listeing to some old stuff all day! beleive it or not i only put a little eq and chopped the very begining to get rid of some hum! i'm going to post some more! peace, neil
Ok I'm going to level with you...If you delete your account again...that's it for me,no more reviews ..no more collabs..that's it....I'm saying this because I don't believe in deleting accounts ..it upsets people..namely me!...moving right along...Yeah this is a cool sound you've got going with a nice mix to boot..and I think I've said this before, nice bass tone with a centred counterpoint riff...cheers Dave

How's Pro Tools coming along?
Kinda cool with the voice added in. Lot of different sounds.
Sounds like your doing a lot of experimenting these days,
Keep it up.
