on why i'm not scientologist by spacestationwagon
Symbols, names, practices, and rituals. Religion is the opiate of the masses and I choose to smoke it blindfolded, so to speak.
I think the voc sam is strangely appropriate, even as silly as what the man is saying is.

Space, I've never been there, but I'm going to act like I know all about it!

Kinda the same with the afterlife, but this isn't a soapbox so...

As for the song, would it be safe for me to venture to say that you're a big fan of David Lynch? It has this corner Cafe jukebox vibe going on (similar to the stylings of the director). Almost as if it's meant to be background, filler music. Even with the dialog of Hubbard going on. It kind of seems as if even it is coming from the TV and secondary to some scene going on inside the diner. Like the multiple conversations going on at the tables between mystery people. This would be great for a made-for-TV movie or something. Perhaps a drama or suspense? I dunno, but that's what it made me feel. Later on!

on Dangerous by spacestationwagon
Aww man, ya just hadta start this with a sample of Blagojevich or "Bag'o'Sh*t" as I like to call him, didn't you!? Anyways, the reason I picked this song is because of the title. It reminded me of this other song of a similar name by the trio Bozzio-Levin-Stevens on their ablum, Situation Dangerous. A really awesome progressive all-instrumental rock CD that's has a so named song which is pretty b*tchin. Check it out if you haven't already.

Now as for this song, intro sample aside- I liked the other vocal sample that ya used. And it's tone was kickin. The Guitar riffs are of the same caliber that I've come to know from you. The minimal (highs mostly) usage of drums was nice. The simple electro-bluesy basses ya had gave this a kind of retro dancy vibe. Thanks for sharing man. Later on!

As soon as I heard thisd track I thought its gotta be in a film. Then I read your description and realized it is !!. Very atmospheric and chilled, I like how you have things "hanging" musically. It adds to the atmsophere. Be great to see the visual to your track somehow.

Hi Neil,

Getting around to give back some reviews.
How's Pro Tools coming along?

Kinda cool with the voice added in. Lot of different sounds.
Sounds like your doing a lot of experimenting these days,
Keep it up.

Sweet sound! Not a bad audio transfer at all. I remember the time of cassette tape, that is what I cut my teeth on in the audio world; boomboxes and cassette recorders. I enjoyed taking the trip with you in the "Waybackwhen Machine".

Thanks,
Toddj

it's funny to think we "jammed" with a boombox recording our ideas and songs, and that was high tech! gladd i was able to keep alot of my old stuff for th memories!

Hi there Neil,
Strange things going on in your head there! Are you ok? :-)

It's cool to try out new things and toys. That's the way to make us all sound different and not listening to all the same typical sounds we are use to hearing everyday.

So I'd have to say it sounded good and refreshing, and keep on experimenting as it'll give me new ideas as well.

Whoa! Kinda hear YES, Police, ELP. Remember DBX and Dolby? This is really clean. You must of tranfered it to your computer and used it. I use Adobe 1.5 and when I figured out how to noise reduction, I thought I died and went to Stobacor!! Gotta love your roots! Loved this! Glad to inspire!
