Hey Fanto8BC thanks for your loop and all the excellent work you do hear at Loopmaster you are appreciated by many people here and i am one of them best regards.
I really enjoyed this. to me had a jean jarre feel. this mabe just me but I felt the bass line was drowned out a little. But I really loved this track.
Mindheist good to hear from you i agree with you but i have given up on it i think i had too much time into it and i want to get into other projects it probably needs rearranged but you know how it is i've run out of steam when it gets to be a chore it means for me time to move on. Thunder and lightning here today maybe do a crash bang wallop number heeeeeeeee Best regards Robbie.
Bleep good to hear from you my friend if you want to use this please feel free to do so if you want the wav file let me know and ill put in on drop box best regards
I feel this is a very modern cinematic track, very sad and emotionally heavy. Pieces of music this length can be so filled with a story and emotion and passion, I find that great about music. If this was 3 minutes longer I'm not sure that it wouldn't have had a different effect on me. I liked it!
Thanks Wayne i struggled with this to make it work sometimes less is more so i have cut it down lots to make it fit thanks for the comment best regards.
Hmmmm... Lament = Deep and Heavy
You can really hear the deep vibe in the track
For me its very unsettling but I appreciated the composition of the track on how it constantly stayed its purpose, on "lamenting".
Liked the feel to this. A nice gentle, floating atmosphere.
Some nice 'hooky' melodies too. Don't know if I'd call it
a lament...I found it quite uplifting.
I'm not sure how I feel about this one. Not sure if I like it but I do appreciate it. Not all music is meant to be liked, or to be beguiling, or to be pretty. This is a lament and, while I don't know if there are any formal "rules" to that form, I'm sure some heaviness and density of feeling is in order, and some disharmony. This dances on the blade of disharmony here and there, which makes it hard to listen to in spots, but the density of the sound layers draws in your ear and mind and keeps you going on the dark journey. That's what I appreciate about this piece and find effective. Thanks!
Thanks Citizen i appreciate the input normally a lament is done by a bagpipe player where i come from in Scotland but i have now changed this track completely and removed much of the drone. Thanks and best regards.
My take on this is that you captured more of a textural aspect of music that effects the listener in much more different ways, than say, a lullaby or pop music would. That can make the listener turn on defense mechanisms as a reaction to the grinding, pounding and seemingly attacking feel of the sounds you created here. In some ways similar reactions a captive person would experience to torture. hmmmmm
I'd say you accomplished something here, well done!
Thanks for your insightful comment when i listened to this again i can feel the aggression there, i don't think i could do a one hit on the guitar like that again but it fitted the bill at the time.
You should do more or that "noodling" cause it sounds exquisite! Very calming and dreamy with crystal clear sound and I love those background sounds....almost hypnotic. Big fav!
Sounds awesome man! Tele's have a cool, crisp edgy tone. Nice idea, the backing music is dreamlike and hypnotizing while the guitar cuts through like a knife. The idea is simple and it works just fine for me. Thoroughly enjoyed it, gave it a few listens, great noodling!
Your song hits the spot man! I'm loving it! Taking me back to the really early trance days, when technology was not so advanced, and when musicians worked hard for their craft. Has a touch of fusion or progressive with that lead synth, which sounds very 60-70s to me. Since I've been working with tape a lot, this makes me wonder how it would sound at "high speed dubbing" speed... could be a hardcore dance classic that way. ha ha. All in all, I dig this one! Fave!
