Hey Toby, much better man, love this, I think this is the best I have heard with this pella. Really enjoy this track, nice guitar tones used. Keep it up man, going to fav this one.
thanks for checking back in.
that screw-up was pretty embarrassing. Derek's vocal was so perfectly in tune, the chords pretty much wrote themselves. The phrasing was the challenge. I'm very thankful for the review..
Toby
You are a true musician, I´ve listened to people using acapellas for remixes and coming up with out of tempo weird stuff lol, but this sounds like it´s no remix, like it was the original song, like it was meant to be this way, it sounds perfect, the music goes perfect with Derek´s vocals, he´s great and you are great and this is great and I like saying great, isnt that great? lol
goose i havent heard the other track of this.but this is smooth. peacefull. i realy like the simple chord structure.some of the most succesfull tracks had 4 chords to them.plus we only ever have 7 notes at a time to work with.the vocal works with this track. PEACE.THE MACK MAN OUT.
Not sure if you know this but this is a song by Mathew Sweet released in the 90's from a great album called Girlfriend and the song is called Girlfriend as well.
Nice cover, loved the original but DVickers shouldn't get the credits for the lyrics and song. Just want to make you aware of that and I mean no disrespect to your work.
Glad to hear that, thanks. It's ok to have both positive and negative reviews to my tracks. I will use both of them to create different tracks in the future.
woow awesome pro sound on it love the intro conga percussion donno about the vocals maybe the reverb on them is a bit too metallic?
but totally miss the big drop into the kicking beat pattern where is it? keep it up anyway!

no offense taken.. It was a rather tongue-in cheek tribute to "bad brains". and quite early on in my mixing experience..
BTW, I'm a big fan, and I've been meaning to drop by your page, but I didn't wan't to go half ass.. I think your tracks deserve to be heard on my home system rather than my work desktop.
Now you have gone and done it....if there was a way to rank my favorites, this one would be in the top 3. I have always loved jazz, actually played trombone for years in a jazz group. This brings back so many great memories.
Man, you are a genius. And I think you need to dabble a bit more in this genre. There's not enough jazz on the loop. WONDERFUL!!!
One of the best tunes I've heard in a long, long time.
Now, see, this is really good. Great instrumentation, great composition, great mix, and one hell of a vocal track. If I'm handing out prizes today, you win first place with this track.
It sounds like you were in the studio together and that's all you can ask when you work with an acapella. By the way, really nice guitar work. You have skills sir.
Bear.. what an honor, really. I'm a bit of a fan of SBM. I'm hoping to get up to a level where I can upload more loops and samples for our fellow loopers, I want to earn my keep around here. I see your loops in about 1/5 of all songs on here.
there sure are some heavy hitters stopping by lately.. I guess I'm on the right track.
So, I was trying to wind down before hitting the bed, and I stumbled upon your page. Well, after listening to this gem, I definitely am not ready for bed, haha.
Really nice track. I'm a huge fan of Mhyst, and you have done her acapella justice my friend. Outstanding effort from start to finish. No advice from me, just my thanks for posting a great piece of art.
phuq yeah!....smooth and easy feel. i absolutely love this and would love to hear more. full nelson riddle orchestra in the house!!!!! seriously...this is awesome, everything works beautifully and sounds smoky and captures the vibe perfectly.
You hit it right on the head. My only real jazz experience is playing stuff like Steely Dan. My influences for this were Moondance, Ruby Ruby by Steely, and of course, the brilliant brian setzer.
it means a lot coming from you, for I was stealthily studying your page for some insight.
