You maker great movie music. Seriously. Your stuff would make great opening credits music for films. I like this one. Even though it's about something not sdo positive, it still makes me think of driving on a nice day. Driving music. Good job!
This makes me think of a David Lynch film. Or it would go well in that Breaking Bad series. Not sure if you're familiar. It has a nice raw, almost dark feeling, but at the same time it has a hopeful feeling. Does that make sense?? Very cool guitar parts, and your voice is unique (in a good way!). ^5
Thanks for the review
Don't know the Breaking Bad series but I love David Lynch movies.I also feel there's a dark and hopeful feeling in that track so everything you said really make sense to me,lol

As all the other reviews state, this track is pretty darn good just the way it is. It reminds me of The Clash. I think the track is good the way it is but if you really want a change in the beat, I would like to try a shot at it. Let me know.
Hi FK, What I truly dig is the totally live sound you produce. Music like this needs edges to give it that gritty quality, and this is first class grit (if you get my drift).
yes - you have another really great one - love the minimalistic percussion approach for this one - it would still be a great song ... but so different if you had a full drum kit going here -but you did this one perfectly appropriately to get the feel of the song across- at points no drums at all - wow - i never think to go that way - thank you! Oh... and nice singing too, French kid!
Yo Frenchkid !! I'm no praying mantis but I saw this track of yours in the "featured" box and thought I'd give it a blast and a review. I'm glad I did...I agree with the other looper-reviewers, this is one class track worthy of airplay. A friend of mine's son produces mini album CD's of his own material and gigs across the UK. Your tune here is on a par with his and in some ways even better. I don't know if you gig or have a mini album with 4 to 6 songs on it but you could well do so and get interest. I know a lot of "unsigned" solo acts gig at colleges and Uni bars in the daytime. If you're gonna do any UK gigs I'll be your manager !! With each listen to your tracks they are improving and have developed your style. Great Song in every way.
Thanks a lot Daniel
What a nice review, lol!I don't think I'm gonna tour in the U.K or even anywhere soon cause I don't even have a band but if I do one day I'd like you to be my manager and my lead guitar player too, lol.I might do an album though cause I got quite a lot of songs now but I still have to improve my mixing alot!

Hey, I think it gets better each time I hear it!! Like the new beat, different than your usual beats. Look forward to hearing the next version with the guitar fills on it!
Thanks a lot Wayne,
For the moment,I have no idea for the guitar fills but I'm gonna work on it tonight. You're more than welcome if you have any suggestion

Great work mate. This takes me back a couple of decades, but still sounds like it's from today. Well done, and I'd just compress the drums a bit harder and lift the level a touch. But I love squashed drums so don't listen to me.
You have such a good voice and lyrics Frenchkid. What this piece needs a stronger backing. I think your voice is a little forward in the mix. I'm glad to see you trying out the loop thing. Stick with it and you'll get better and better on the loop approach.
Hi koble,
you're def right about the backing and the vocals.Think I'll update a new mix in a few days with some guitar add too.
Thanks for the review and tips

If I ever get A House Ignoble and Divided published, and it's turned into a screen play, I'll need to work out a deal for this to be in the soundtrack. I'm glad to find someone else who's contemplated the logistics of such a scenario.
I do believe this is my favorite Rock song of yours yet. Good call collaborating with Wayne.
Ahhh,if you release a movie I'd be more than honoured to be part of the soundtrack, lol!
Thanks a lot for reviewing again and contributing so much to the great spirit of the site!

This is a better version than the one you posted earlier. I think you mixed the vocals better this time. The guitars sound better in this mix as well, growly effect on it. Maybe turn up the bass a little bit. Like the lyrics alot. Keep working on the mix, this has potential to be better than it currently is, just my opinion. ;) Pretty explosive ending!! Cool tune, very 80's sounding!!
Thanks again for the review,
Yes,the old mix was real crap!I tried to make the clean the vocals and had some new beat in the end to give more punch to the track.Happy you notice the difference

this is good man,but i feel it could have a few lil touches, but bein unexpierenced in this genre myself aswel i cant say what, still sounds good tho,i think the base is fine, showin your versatility in this one again, mal
Terrific bs/gtr hooks - man thematically + musically you have got some cool opportunities to glitch that demo beat unmercifully and still serve the song. 2nd listen: Daddy Cool bass works!! Don't take that away! Can't wait to hear you step on this a little more.

2nd up comment - anti-naive cause the vx address the impact of war. the naive ones are those who register no impact.
Second K's comments re vox + drum. I think you have some anti-naive war lyrics, not the other way round. Powerful track.
Anti-naive war lyrics,I'm not sure I see what you mean, lol.
Thanks for your support anyway
