Great acoustics really enjoyed this one the lyrics especially great metaphors in your song writing, good quality sound, can't think of no suggestions but i was feeling as if a shaker was going to be introduced down the line at some point, don't matter tho really enjoyed this, nice one Frenchkid
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for the nice review. The shaker is a pretty good idea cause I think the drums or percussion part mustn't be too forward in the song. Thanks for the suggestion
Cheers
StÃÂphane
I really like this with a higher tempo, it gives this song the energy that it deserves! The mixing sounds really good too, with everything audible. Your vocals are so cool! Seriously! Really awesome update!
Thanks a lot Spivkurl
I find it very nice from you to review the updates and it's always very helpful to me,see if the mix works or not
Thanks for the congrats too but you're still much "redder" than I am,lol
Cheers
StÃÂphane - the stepped-up tempo really works - 1969 world garage rock sound! Gtr-play between you and Wayne is right on! Vox treatments awesome and so fitting for this crashing, burning love song
I think you've got serious talent my friend. Great vocals, fantastic lyrics and awesome beats etc. Good production all round. Well done. I enjoyed your track very much! :)
Thanks for the review,
I'm happy you and Jessica commented on this track cause I must say I was a bit afraid that girls found it offensive in a way which was not my attention. But i've always loved that track and had this version in mind for a while

Hi there. Again a very nice track, great sound.
I haven't heard the original, but hey...I've got your version and that's good enough for me. Great work, man. Fav'ed.
I liked all the different changes in this one. The Riviera is sounding nice with a little phaser on it. Is that some tremelo on the lead fills or just the twang of the Riviera? It has a darker feel to it, nice production, sounds good!!
Thanks Wayne,
I like that phaser too.I also added some to the acoustic part I play with my Ovation (that's the one i got on the youtube vid),maybe a bit too much, lol
Yeah,I put some tremolo on the lead fills.I might turn down the bass a little, not too sure
Cheers

Hey man, I've listned to a couple of your recordings and I must say that I like your voice and the flavor you add the songs. This one is no exeption. Great work.

Wow collab with my good friend Wayne, and your talent Stephane, this is always going to be a stunning piece, good to see that you can handle different styles of music, brilliantly, again magic vocals, every piece you do is a masterpiece my friend...your vocals remind me of someone back in 70's whom I liked but can not think of who it is :(, but loving your works mate...excellent...another Fav mate...Peace...Estefano...
Man what can I say here that everyone else has not already beaten me too, again man you have one of the nicest voice's I have heard on here on looperman, something really special about it, stunning, great collab, as Koukotsu is one of my fav's here and really enjoy her works, so this one brilliant collab...talent plus you are man...wicked...Peace...Fav'd...Estefano...
Wow what a powerful piece, your vocals are brilliant man, agree with everyone else, that you got the balance just right about the sweetness and unhappiness, your one very talented dude, thank you so much for sharing your great talent Kid...instant fav mate...Peace...Estefano...
I wrote such a great review before, and lost it to the aether - lol! I think it's the nature of absurdity, and no surprise really that the cosmos would do this to me!
Have you ever read _L'Afrique Fantôme_ by Michel Leiris? For some reason when I listen to this song I think of ethnographic surrealism. Music for the self-aware.
Before, my curiosity led me off to see what parallel Wilson Cheval's I could find currently on the internet. Most links led me to a commercial site in France selling the Safari addition of Mr. Potato Head. Naturally, I couldn't do this twice.
Somehow I think it speaks directly to the condition of your victim, the MeatPuppet EveryMan, AKA that loser Wilson Cheval. It's an existential problem to be sure.
Nevermind you lost your other review, this one was great!I like your interpretation but the real story about the name is a lot more absurd!I was at my sister's and we saw that name on the intercom:Cheval means Horse in French and the whole name sounds really weird in my language so we thought it might be a cool character name like a French loser version of Clint Eastwood, lol.I tried to exaggerate the sadness and solitude of the character in the music and lyrics.
Glad you like it
Cheers

Had to give it a second listen, since my friend William arrived. 4 thumbs up, no I'm not some freak with four thumbs, lol, two are mine and two are Williams.
I could see this used in a buddy feature where they just about had enough with each other. They are looking at each other, slo mo, then, as they walk away from each other, come the flashbacks of the good times and the bad. They turn, at the same time, look at each other, fellini moment, and hesitate.
Their mutual foe enters and immediately they are back where they were. Two buddies, having fionally defeated their foe, walking into the sunset (arguing, of course, I mean, let's not get silly).
love it.... i would call it brit pop or new romantic, post punk, nu wave? something like that... beautiful though....some beatles feeling maybe...a wonderful song...i love your vocals as well so "bittersweet".... keep it up man...the only thing I could add U MADE ME PLAY MY GUITAR FOR 5 HOURS after listening to this track...and i haven`t played for about a month
Hy StÃÂphane, I got some lyrics down, I went really sentimental. I hope you like it, please let me know what do you think about the vocals effects I am not really sure my self, I just want to give this kind of beep feeling. https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/61814
