Awesome completely genius:)Your right about the cake!Damn cake was evil. That was a damn hard game when i played it but of course i used cheats:/ Anyway good song man!Peace!
Thank you for the nice review Smith. I thought it was tough too the first time. I am anxious to see what they do with Portal 2. I know now they are making one.
Love the lyric's and the beat. "It seems her kisses always require stitches." That's just so heavy and wicked dude. Great synth's and your voice is not bad either. Good work dude!!
Hey Raykoefoed, caught this in the feature box, saw your name and gave it a listen, man i knew this would be great before i even pressed play. love what you do and the stories within your music, that was a tasty piece of cake man, cheers.
This is really cool for your first try at trance! I dig the old school vibe! This is very impressive for something made on Cool Edit! Very trippy stuff, made me wish the track was longer! Great work!
hehe, I agree not too shabby man. How long ago was this? Considering you mentioned Cool Edit, I'd say a good 10-12 years ago? Not bad at all. Pretty grungy and the sound that cool edit was pushing sounds quite good. Nice work.
Thank you Siensystem. You are right, the Cool Edit program I have was from about 2000. I don't even remember where I got it now. I didn't know that making digital music was anything more then sequencing wav samples back then. Funny that even when I use a keyboard and vst plugins these days I still render the instrument to a wav file, duct them in my ancient Cool Edit program, then put them back into FL Studio to add filters. I still use that software a lot, it is what I record my vocals into even.
Thanks Danothing. I am not sure what you are talking about, that in the sky, you mean the very end when the camera is moving through the scene, that light is the sun behind the clouds. I am guessing that is what you mean. The software was the game Half-Life 2 (the orange box), Garry's Mod, and a free SDK program that you can download off of Steam once Half-Life 2 is installed. I hope this helps. Thanks for the review.
No matter what style you're exploring, there's always this strong musical identity in your tracks.I never heard about Half life but i like this one a loty
Cheers

Nice the line with the headcrab thing is great. I remember when I played though half-life 2 I did nothing else for almost an entire week. It has to be one of my most favorite games ever. I'n still waiting on Halflife 2:Episode 3 to come out as I cant wait to play it.
Kinda eerie track but it sounds great. Both vocals regular/ Pitched are cool as hell too. Nice instruments too. The beats basic but brings great flow to the track. Nice track Its going on my favs.
Hi,
Another great track from you!I love the feel to it,reminds me somehow of Depeche mode and NIN.And it was a great surprise to hear you singing on this one:your voice fits perfectly the atmosphere of the song.Another one I fav and download.
cheers

Thanks Frenchkid, that is a very nice comment. I have always enjoyed the kinds of bands you mention, so I am glad to know some of that influence shows a little.
Thank you. For some reason that is the most popular video I have done yet. It is funny, because I sent it to machinima as just an idea for making my own music for videos. I guess I need to go back to making music for fun and stop trying so hard to progress. Anyway, thanks for the nice reply.
Man ye have done a great job with that bell loop and this track has me grinning from ear to ear hearing it used in this fashion.
yeah really haunting piece of music, love the dark core beats and the incoming high hat, great vocals, short and sweet as hell.
Yeah, this is quality very menacing, love the sharpness of the hats and vocal effects, very well put together man loving it, really got me wanting to see what visuals inspired this, need to check these videos i am reading about in your reviews.
Thank you Salook. I don't think the machinima community cares much for this song/video. I didn't think it was the least bit disturbing, but perhaps there is a bigger percentage of young views that I didn't consider. The might be thinking "ew, gross, a half naked woman (cootie shields up)" =}
Thanks Zikanis. The chorus and verses both were just double vocal tracks with different pitches, and I added a little of an odd sounding setting on Fruity Flangus vst in FL Studio 9
oh my first love with raykoefoed, always loved this bass man, and yes i remember this track. as soon as i played it again i knew it was familiar b4 the bass came in.
glad to c it back.
Thank you DextDee. It is funny how it works, that bass track was something I just threw together to go with another instrument. The instruments I spend a lot of time on trying to make sound as good as I can don't end up being as good as the ones I don't put much effort into. I haven't quite figured it out yet. It almost seems like music isn't meant to be too fine tuned or tweaked.
This was very cool and a little different approach with the vocals. There was just the right amount of production in this song, wasn't overdone, just perfect.
man, this one is really great - i really like this style, the vocals (and the pitched one, nice idea) to this beat - real catchy one. the instrumental is top.
Hey Frank!
Thanks for the review. Sorry we never got to finish that song we worked on. You are a great guy to work with and very talented. I look forward to hearing more of your stuff.
This is totally awesome, it seems like you're not giving yourself enough credit by putting this under "weird". Your vocals are really inpressive, I really like when you pitch shift them. The music is great too, it creates a great bed for your vocals to lay in. This is getting faved and DL'd for sure! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Spivkurl. You are right. I don't know what else to classify it as since Alternative still isn't an option. What would you suggest?
Thanks too for the inspiring comment about the vocals.
What a great track again! Some NIN reminiscence but still,it's distinctively your style. The vocals sound very good and I like the effect you chose.Like Koukotsu,I'd really enjoy hearing more vocals from you.I'll check the video too
Cheers

Thanks Frenchkid, you always give such kind reviews. I really appreciate hearing that people like my vocals. I am getting a lot more comfortable recording myself. I think I will be trying something more melodic next time.
Thanks again.
