I'm digging the metal can snare sound. Bass is decently done as well. It'd sound sweet for the lfo to effect the upsweep of that bass whoooop! think boop woooble wooble.

nice.

I really like your direction with this. I think you could kind of do a white rabbit type effect and crescendo all the way to the climax, then decrescendo to the end. amazing work.

thanks mate! yeah ill probably finish this sometime soon, i think its a good idea though i love white rabbit. thanks for the review

First of all the title - What does it mean? It looks welsh - if it is, you could definitely find some decent welsh samples to put in this. I'd reccommend something Pritchard Vs Dainton, theres about a million samples in there that are all amazing. Find some youtube videos or something and rip them from there.

The drums could do with a tweaky, they are nice but not clear enough i dont think, especially the fillers - the clicky things and whatnot - they are definitely not loud enough at all. maybe layering up the snare with a clap and a burst of static would thicken it out a bit. The hihats sound nice, could try a bit of compression on them though?

Maybe think about adding another bassline, just a complimentary one that you could bring in every four bars or so, just to provide a bit of relief for the first one.

I love the bars on the bassline that are slow and then quickly speed up. They sound very good, play with them some more.

Could think about adding in some higher synths, strings, high piano in the background, towards the end.

Hmm. Probably the longest review ever on looperman but i hope it helps. I hope i didnt sound at all patronising either, i didnt mean to be.

yeah it means thank you very much in welsh which is where im originally from.. the snare has exaclty that haha, low snare hit, clap and burst of white noise. everything needs tightening up in the drums for sure, but its only half done at the moment.
thanks for the reveiw anyway will definatly look to rectify some of these things

DIRT!

That's anger and a half....I like it...keep it moving...All I'd say is take a little of the fuzziness off..

control panel/add remove programs/ fruity loops ;)

You lemme know as soon as your done being fruity.

Nice raw sound here though bro. I bet you're missing some wonkers in that bass sine wav aren't you? Good track for an hour of grunt work.

i do like that drop, theres no build up to it, you should definitely keep that in, it was good.

It really needs some sort of melody... But damn good for an hour i must say!
Birdy
Birdy replied Unknown
yeah it needs a melody for sure, but nothing would fit that i tried so i decided not to force it. you want to have a go though? i can send you the file cos i think its worth finishing.

this is definitely my favourite one of your tracks. it has a good build up and i like the samples - where did you get them from? they fit well in with the song.

If you get stuck with automation and what not you can always ask, i dont mind helping out.

Aah i like this drum beat :)

BTW im am working on that song - i might just do it in fruity loops as i dont see how its going to work otherwise... it might be worth you sending me the .FLP file?
Birdy
Birdy replied Unknown
yeah ill send you the flp file. im not sure what extra vsts i used cos im not at home right now but ill just include the .dll files for them if i have used any. thanks for the review aswell i like this one too, now ive got to grips with the automation it seems so much easier to acheive the things i want in a song

Damn cool and real mellow; From that deep rumbling intro, right up to the deep rumbling end. You got my parents yelling at me to "turn that crap off" (needless to say, they know little about good music), and that's a win in my book.

Two thumbs up and a download, can never have enough dubstep.

Just one thing -- Song was too short! Left me wanting so much more. ;D

yeah yeah i realy quite like the bass on this one. maybe add something more to the drums though? a few more high hats and clicks and beeps would go well.

Needs a high synth in there, played 2 octaves or so above the first bassline. If I were you I'd bring it in when the backup synth comes in, after 16 bars or whatever it is.

Nice track anyway. Did you play the drums? Or program?
Birdy
Birdy replied Unknown
programmed everything. i think any more synths will ruin it. thanks for the review

i downloaded this tune last nite,im feeling dis shit.put it on my system an it was bumping, wat do u use 4 ya drum kits, the snares dirty as fuk.i added sum ov my beatz let me no wat u think.dj rema-d
Birdy
Birdy replied Unknown
i usually layer my kicks to get the right sound for the track, smae with the snare. for the snare i get a low range bouncy sounding one, a mid range kinda smack sound, and some pure white noise, layer em up and get the volumes right then reverb a little. everyone seems to reverb there snares to fuck but it kinda gets lost in the mix then. i like my snares to pop your head off. thanks for the review anyway

Well not right now but this definitely has that underwater sounding feel to it that is always appealing to stoners (at least me, and those I know). This really hits hard around 2 minutes. Great development too. Slow and murky, I love the pace. It reminds me of a line I heard in a rap song about "flowing like arachnids from water spouts". Ill, dude.
