big up dv8 this tune is massive! skankin vibes are on point. only things i would point out are - reverb on the snare needs eqing higher so that it floats over the whole sound.. the mid range bass needs to sound slightly fatter, possibly use some distortion. but these are personal quibbles, great track :)
Thanks alot for the feedback man, glad you spoke up since no one else pointed anything out. I'll get back to it and re-work it for the next update. Thanks alot for the kind words, appreciate it!
Ive had so many attempts at garage, each has been awful.. this is just great though. the drums absolutely kill it, love the break down into almost dubstep drums at 1:35. The bassline sounds really good aswell. Well mastered and arranged, the vocals sound crisp and fit really well with the vibe of the track. Really nice work. What DAW do you use?
I took me a while to get the hang of it. So many bad attempts, but i got some files with examples from burga boy and other artists on it, which helped a lot.. I use reason btw.. If you use reason then give me a shout ill send you the pack through, its god damn awesome. Thanks for the review man much apreciated.. Peace
hello hello, really nice track. it manages to be relaxed and hard at the same time. nice melody, i feel that is missing from alot of current dubstep. i would say the drums are the best thing about this (not to detract from the rest) but i really like that distorted kick, its got plently of punch but doesnt stand too far out in the mix, which it always has for me when ive tried something similar. that old hiphop sounding snare works well too. i like the way youve used the ride cymbal to keep it rolling aswell, like they used to in dnb. the variations in the bass line kept it interesting and i was a little suprised and disapointed when it finished.
nice work
birdy.
cheers Birdy. I've had the intro and build of this track lying around for about a week, kinda forgot about it when i did a couple other tunes and then stumbled across it again last night... decided the drum loops were too good to not put to use, not to sound arrogant lol. so i fleshed out the build a bit and wrote the bassline and here we are. it's just one of those things with songs, for me at least, once you lose that spark you had when you were first working on it it's so damn hard to pick it up again. but i'm glad you enjoyed the end result! i'll give your tracks a listen now, havent browsed your stuff in a minute.
thanks again man.

This caught me off guard, so so beautiful. This song reminds me of falling in love; nervous, persistant, ever building, irresitable.
I just wish it was longer, it seemed to be over as quick as it had begun.
I shall be keeping an eye out for further works from you.
i really enjoyed this, i love the concept of the female voice over dubstep. i also saw a video on your youtube channel of you performing a dubstep track in this style, i was instantly drawn to it as an idea, as its something ive tried myself but never got quite right. i would happily play this out.
the only thing i could think to criticise would be perhaps the lack of variation in bass sounds.. but that is really a positive because it works so well.
id quite like to remix this, if i can get those stems.
great work man, i will be listening out to your stuff from now on.
very nice bouncy happy riddim :) is that sample out of a Bar9 song? im sure i recognize it. everything flows and fits together, the gritty bass bring the dubstep and keeps me happy throughout. good work, like jahknow said you should do some more stuff like this, maybe try and bring in more of the dubstep influences. would have loved to hear this build up and up and drop into a sawtooth wobbler, even for the last 16 bars or something. again though, good work.
Lol yeah i did think about letting it all build up and then doing something dirty afterwords..
And yeah it is a sample from Bar9, I heard it on here on looperman (check the reviews i've given, i cant remember the actual song) And asked and it just came from a pack called 'Vocal Samples', which i got and it has quite a few of the well known ones in there lol. So i thought i'd whack it into this Dubby song and pitch it down somewhat to show my so-called 'original' dubstep roots lol.
Anyway this was just an attempt. Its nice but i have to say i dont love it. I might have another go in the future :)
Hadnt heard this one, its sick! i sound like a broken record on your reviews but they get better with every song i hear. do you ever send any of this stuff off? you should, this is just as good if not better than most of the stuff im hearing at the moment. Has that real rusko sound too it, and considerin ruskos rulin the dubstep world at the mo, its a pretty good sound to have. http://dubstepdirectory.com/labels.html dunno if youve seen this but you should definatly have a look. great job on the song mate.
People have said to me that i should hava go. I havent been in any studios tho and got my music properly produced, and also, im just not satisfied with the quality yet..Im getting better but. One day i will!
Its a fun song but im not sure if it would get people dancing. Its good to know that people like it tho :)
still cant get enough of this track, still got my girlfriend goin 'put that song on' and i first listened to this ages ago! not gonna jabber about the lovely composition or my enjoyment of different components or any of that bollocks, but i have to say i really like this.
whey! yeah me too actually. Its a bit annoying because for some reason when i open it the bassline's a bit different, and i have no idea why! But yeah i must say i do share your enthusiasm for it, its probably the most like, 'complete' song i've made :)
nice track man, i love that female vocal, you got that anywhere?
if so could i have it. i like the bass and the strings in the chorus bit too, keep it up
Search for Endtransmission on here, he might have the vocal. I looked through his stuff awhile ago and didnt see the track on his page, unless I missed it.
nice track man, love the skankin vibe, gotta agree on the caspa an rusko ting aswell. to be fair though theyre representin dubstep in the mainstream like no one else. but yeah theyre shit.
this isnt though! what you using for your basslines? i like it.
i like the composition of this, the way the tune changes is nice, gives you a break, and the whole track fits together nicely with the sirens and the drums. the drums could do with a bit of work, the snare could pop a bit more, i love the sound of a snare slapping you in the face. the only other thing is that the bassline sounds alot like it was made on fruity loops with a fruity preset, you should try and get some different synths and try and make your own sounds so noone can claim that it sound similar to anything else. get me? i recommend vanguard or of course massive. anyway over all im sayin this track is pretty sick good work.
another great track.. sounds like some rusko shit to me and thats got to be good. i like the way it whips around and you use the high pitch bass to its own advantage. nice one lad!
sickkkkk as fuck man. have you heard Koan Sound? this kinda reminds me of that stuff, brilliant, love this sort of dubstep at the moment. that top bassline sounds like its bein slapped about and the vocals fit in nicely. great work just wish it was abit longer!
cheers mate. yeah this one just kinda came out of the blue, i am proud of it. I dunno about being longer though, i was running out of ideas towards the end.
i love it hahahaa. i think the mixing does need some work but its good to hear someone doing something with track. i think chud it wrong though, you shouldnt pidgeon hole a genre just because thats how its usually done, if it sounds good... go for it!
if you wanna do any more just use any of my songs, i dont mind, just let me know when there done.
nice one.
nice work, kinda reminded me of trg at the beginin.
do you use the lfo to get the wobble or use separate bass stabs.
ive been doing both, they seem to blend pretty well.
i actually think this is pretty good. good have done with some more elements though. listen to my stuff, mines more coming from the caspa and rusko, the more poppy dubstep angle. better for the raving :)
it sounds like something from the teletubbies. but then again jumpstyle has never been my cup of tea. on a more constructive note, for a jumpstyle track its bang on the money. good job, ignore cynics like me :D
