Weird whacky and wonderful!!!
Absolutely love it.
Instantly it reminded me of a guy called Ken Nordine who sounds nothing like this whatsoever but something about the mood the space the aroma took me straight to the guy..
If you haven't heard of him he does spoken word jazz heres his Wiki ... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ken_Nordine
and of course you can type his name into youtube.
Great piece you've done there and such a wonderful change from the norm.
I am really happy you liked it. For sure it is apparently different from the usual stuff posted here every day so at first I was not sure if people will really like it. Thanks again for kind words and links. It is appreciated.
Dark city club music. This would be freakin' cool as background music to that type of scene visually. Can visually see brown and grey clouds passing by fast as the day counts down, people moving quickly through town, zombies with credit cards. Sleep walking selling their soul for a unworthy price.
Makes me think to some Paradise Fallen: Humans Disease. This is really interesting. Like how you got the instruments moving yet steady holding together. Wonder to wander music here. Nice outro I've heard in a bit, adds to the mystery.
Good delivery of ideas here, cool vocals too, aside from the lyrics that song hits another level of the conscious, expand your views kinda product. Thanks for sharing, Peace.
Thanks a lot for listening to this one and some interesting thoughts. That's very fine vision you pictured. Indeed I was going for dark moods but I must say I was never too much into pictorial aspects of music. My main focus is always on the sound itself so even spoken german words are ultimately only 'just sounds' to me. Also I think the en translation below might not be very correct as the original message is probably slightly different. This song was written originally as a darkwave heavier electronic piece. My actual take is not very proper darkwave but still works...I hope. So overall yes, this is more serious electronic production of mine. I will be going further with electronic explorations these next weeks for sure.
Thank you again for listening and nice words. I appreciate that. A.
From the brooding dark like intro, i knew this was going to be good. And was i right! What an awesome track this turned out to be. I commend you on your synthesizer work, love it. And a good choice of bassline too.
Good vox too from brother Joe, i hope there is an english translation version coming soon, 'cause i don't know what he is singing about! Blessings brother Promenade - B.

I couldn't expect my production sounding exactly like that at all because firstly I said to Joe that I will create new arrangement of his song and then I also said to bufallonugaluss that I will use his loop. Then I spent 2,5h working with all downloaded materials and it just came out like this. The vocals simply make the entire song.
Thank you again for listening and your kind comments. It is appreciated.
Joe telling people to do bad things again hahaha both of you are a bad influence ;) I like this version too! :D Quite the trip on headphones... I want to hear you do one like this composed solely with nature sounds :p Maybe we could start a competition challenging Loopers to do the same :D
thanks. I will be recording more nature sounds for sure. Additional heavy post-processing might totally transform even very common recording (I tried that already by recording directly from my laptop but due to lm space limitations I had also to remove this track very quickly). Still I need more time to get into the ambient but the very idea on the recording challenge sounds really fine!
A.
P.S. This was quite fast production and I used wrong cables. That's why one of synths is present only on the left channel. This is also probably my first serious take in a very proper electronic genre.
The vocals are excellent in this track. That is what really made me enjoy this track. Very cool work. Bravo. As I have said before, I definitely will continue to listen to your tracks.
Thanks a lot for nice words and listening to my music!
This soundcloud track was one of my first tracks on this site also - it was an improvised piano take along the acapella from Oceanically. I played the drums from the keyboard as well in a very unlike way from what I am doing now haha.
This one is a kind of very much proper electronic production but still I can't say I am into so called 'mainstream'. Just experimenting a lot. Agreed: Joe's vocals are excellent and very stylish indeed.
Has a nice groove and is very dynamic. Cool Mix of much great sounds. (is it all this roland one?)I realy love the refrain, thats a cool way to doit ....and this outro, after the last refrain starting, is great.
Really happy you liked this version (I changed the original title - hope it still makes sense:) haha. I recorded almost everything on Roland Juno Di and Arturia Microbrute (all this panned-to-the-left synth stuff) with some use of drum loops as well and special single bass sound from buffallus (lol).
Guess my comment on you other track was better suited here :O Fascinating concept, composing strictly with the sounds of our enviroment! :p The course I took was on Coursera. I remember reading a book on The Grateful Dead, What a long strange trip, and they talked about how they could hear music in everything, like the sound of the tire as they traveled down the highway, the hum of the motor.... If you listen long enough everything begins to have a musical pattern. This is eerie hahaha Awesome! Keep experimenting!
I did a music class online a few months back, one of the classes/assignments ( I didn't do it :( ) was about composing using sounds recorded from everyday life and our surroundings. I don't recall the artist's name but he made an entire album that way. I think it was called Symphony of Nature. I know it's on you tube somewhere as we had a link to it to watch. It's all sounds like crickets and birds, the ocean, ect. used in place of instruments. Fascinating concept!! Just keep experimenting, that's how we learn :D
thanks for interesting comments on the nature recordings. I just tried to do some search for the video you mentioned but found only this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Cj_X0gnj4g it is some very nice concept as well! I do not have much time to go outside with all my equipment and record too much at the moment. Capturing nature properly will need more energy and hours of sitting/recording I guess... But I will be recording more of 'nature' tracks soon for sure because I love combination of background natural ambiences and synths. Not really a kind of usual 'relaxation music' but something in the manner of: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SY94KemG0E I discovered R.Rich's music around 2012 and he is my favourite ambient artist (I like Steve Roach as well but he is more ...hm... 'celestial/electronic' haha:). That album with Lustmord ('Stalker') is very dark and depressive, 'Somnium' is extremely peaceful.
I like also his 'Echo of small things', album which contains a great amount of ambient background sounds: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFKiGNlLhrY
So if I will be producing more ambient (at some point in the future) my stuff will be definitely inspired by all this stuff from the videos for sure as I really listened a lot to Robert Rich's works.
If you will find that yt link please send it to me. I will listen to it!
Hi Alex !!!
Very motivating for me to hear my loops being part of such a cool track !
Great Track... so jazzy !
thanks for using my loops :)
Greetings from Megapaul
Firstly it's really great to hear from you! I'm happy that you liked this one. Thanks for good words! I truly appreciate that.
I must say that I spent quite a lot of time listening to different musicians on here and your guitar productions are really impressive. I hope we could do a serious collab sometime in the future as I progress with my keyb. skills and stylistic playing.
Interesting that you found this one chilled. But it's great to know because usually I try my best to keep everything gentle and not that heavy:) Basically there are 3 main sound sources here: Megapaul's guitars (loops), midi drum performances from EZdrummer and all the rest (made using Roland synth): bassline, el. piano, backgrounds, funky synth (which is actually a clavinet) and guitar sort of solo in the middle as well as Theremin (lol). I do not think I played the clavinet that good as I really want this time(I had to quantize the timing of the audio) - I am still learning how to play properly all this funky stuff.
Thanks again for nice review! Glad you liked the track.
Alex
One very cool laid back number.
I could drive along the coastal express way(A55 in N. Wales the U.K) at two in the morning with that playing no problem.
A55 is my favourite late night road when I want to be alone and listening to stuff ... It's my realtime environment these days for listening.
Very nice piece.
Just trying to figure out how the road you mentioned looks like - I did a search for some images from this place. It looks truly amazing. I do not make late night car driving that much as I seem to function in a very normal way at the moment. Apparently.
Thank you again for your comments. It is appreciated.
A.
thanks for your comment! in order to put the vocals I will probably need to sing myself or go and find someone to make the vocal line for me. It's still possible haha.
Alex!
Nice and tight fusion here. Lots of things happening around this tune, most of them totally unexpected. It's a work of an true artist to get all this to fit together.
Thanks a lot for very nice words. Yes, indeed I picked up some Megapaul's guitars that I downloaded earlier and started adding different elements. There's no really a concrete and very predictable structure here as I am not really listening to so called 'mainstream' too much now. That's why it eventually turned unexpected directions throughout the track. Just trying very different things on keys but of course with respect to the other instruments (drums are from EZdrummer plugin).
A fine, tight composition, Alex. Everything within this project fits very well and you are correct...I hear funk, rock and jazz. Nicely done, my friend!
Cool! Is that a theremin sound near 1:30?? If so great usage of that kind of sound! Wouldn't have thought to put into this kind of idea.
Like what you did with MP's Guitars. Definitely you're bringing something different and cool to the table. Nice work. Thanks for sharing this with us. Agree a good mix of artists. Peace.
Haha it is not a real Theremin (from around 1:28) but just a Roland Juno Di theremin preset. I decided to use this sound on the top as it blends in nicely with other synth-guitar and background ambient sounds in the lower range. Overall it was entirely made on the same roland sound engine. And of course I tried to stick with the Megapaul's guitar colors as possible.
One of your very best Alex....has a really cool combination of rock-pop-funk-soul going on that makes it really quite different...interesting..keeps the ears tuned in all the way..thoughtful composing with the changes that still hold to the overall theme.....take a bow my friend...really excellent....fav...Ed
Megapaul is probably one of the greatest and most inspiring discoveries of mine on this site as he produced a great amount of funky guitar loops.
So just trying out myself on the loops I downloaded when joining the site few months ago.
Sadly collab is not working anytime... creative process can't be rationally controlled I guess... I might be totally wrong though - correct me if so!
Thank you again for very kind feedback and making this one a favourite of you! I really appreciate that and am so happy you liked this production! Alex

seems a bit off beat (no hard feelings)
But I'm impressed!
Love that synth on the left speaker.. :)
If I place everything on 'ein' it will probably sound even more strange. There's a Microbrute on the left channel.
Happy you liked what I did.
