Liked this short but essential soundscape...reminded me for Orlando51's works from this site...ambience in it'S PURE BEAUTY...

actually weird you mention him because i was thinking how he hardly uses drums and stuff in his songs when i was making this, so i decided to go down his route and leave out the drums but instead add some sfx and stuff for texture. To be honest i think it works better :D

Hey!

Long time since I heard some chip-tunes.
Great work!

The vibe of the track is really amazing and really does fit the video game environment.

Loved the main melody hook and the ambience.

The drums are groovy and tight. Liked those hats xD

Lower bass parts are crystal clear.

Awesome work!

Some say he has been out in the wilderness for 10 years, honing his skills,
waiting patiently for the time to strike!
Some say hes just a crazy forest man,
Some say he will never return,
some say hes just a myth..

all i know is.. Hes called MASTER NINJA DEFECT77!!

Got a small bit carried away with that haha :)

You know, you could actually do video game music for a living. You obviously have a great talent for it, as demonstrated by this song. Have you thought about that? I wouldn't be surprised to see you go far in that field c:

I would love the stems if you would be so kind.
I will send a private message with my e-mail.
I am really impressed with your loops.
Quality!. I made a tune a bit back using some of your loops in it called Catatonia.

Right now you might be one of my favourite loopmasters on the site at the moment.

Such a lovely piece. Your skills have improved so much! You capture the tension perfectly with such minimalism, something that a lot of producers have a heck of a time getting right. You nailed it! Great work!

"Your skills have improved so much!"

yeah slowly getting better haha, just been working at it. Ever since i started making my own synths its became easier to design a song based on what i have in my head, rather than make it as close to it as i can with presets and stuff, which has been awesome :D

"You nailed it! Great work!"

Thanks brando :)

holy cow, what sort of earporn is this??? really nice job with the soft melody and hypnotizing guitar riff you got going on. i figure this would be good by the title lmao

Very Very good. The building of tension is incredible. The minimalism of the arps. I would want to remix this into something bigger and bolder building on your tension idea.
Awesome work.

I think this is more cinema than X-Box.
Very atmospheric and just tense enough to put me into anticipation mode.
Actually what do I know about X-Box?
Not a lot and thinking about watching my grandchildren playing theirs then I suppose there's not that much difference these days!
Great little piece.
XyIlent
XyIlent replied 17th Mar 2016 - 9 years ago
yeah theres not too much separation between the two these days, and where music is concerned there is virtually no difference. you could use one of the best movie soundtracks and fit them into a story driven game perfectly.

Im glad you enjoyed silverman :)
thanks for the feedback

Im happy for this piece loved it so much, it has so much feeling into it could almost feel like it was going forever, idk if you plan adding more to it (would be a nice thing as well) but i still like it the way it is.

XyIlent replied 16th Mar 2016 - 9 years ago
Thankyou, no i dont plan on adding much more to it. Although im building out an album of these type of songs for Bandcamp and soundcloud. so although im not adding to this, there's going to be a a bunch of tracks with the same feel and style coming out soon :)

Sounds nice! Not a typical chill out i think, the tempo is a bit higher than usual, but still calm music. However, i find the rhythmical "high clipping drum" sound a bit boring after a time, with just a very few variance in the rhythm can be better, i think. But this is just my subjective opinion, still good work anyway!

What's good Xyi? Awesome idea your doing here! This is def isn't one of your usual tracks, and caught me off guard when I was you doing hiphop. Overall, everything flows tightly. The bassline and bass kicks are nice and heavy, and the synths/leads are bouncy. The vocals are a good addition too, especially with Kendrick Lamar. Hope to see a finished version of this man. Cheers!

Also, would love to work with you sometime! Let me know!

Hey G.O :)

Hahah yeah not one of my usual ones but had to switch it up, for me it gets tedious doing the same genre over and over.

"vocals are a good addition too, especially with Kendrick Lamar"

Was looking for inspiration to start a new track and i thought, why not download a kendrick lamar accapella and mess with it.. and then i got this awesome bass and then been building this track from there.. so i owe this track to Kendrick haha

"Hope to see a finished version of this man"
yeah me too haha, got a couple of other songs im working on that are taking priority the now but hope to get this finished soon :)

Im always up for working with you man!

Ok I will be the first to comment. This is futuristic and keep going with this. Compelled me from start to finish. I see it's in e major and I was soloing right along with this on piano. It also plays around with the dissonant. There is a lot right with what you have done. I can also hear the potential of this as well. Keep at this one. let me know if I can help in any way, I love this!
