Its been a while since Musicante posted...good to hear Franco is well...and its good to hear this smoooooth jazz rendition by you talented guys...nice fat tone on that lead guitar...must say you do a fantastic job of getting the feeling into those keys..piano can be such an expressive instrument when its played with the way you do it...sax always seem to give me that "Late night up town" kind of vibe...This is top notch guys...but thats what I expected when I hit the play button....another fav...Ed
I really dig this track! It brings peace to mind, and a smile all over. The guitar sounds great to me, both in tone and performance. Excellent momentum throughout. Reminds me of the days when each day was spent listening to jazz records and cassettes, drowning out the traffic noise and the cares... in fact the maintenance work accross the street is being drowned out by this currently! The vocal part on the outro sounds excellent, very groovy and care free. A fine quality piece! Fave!
so nicely performed! I remember listening to this female acapella, it sounds really interesting in the context of this tune.
Clarinet solo is really fine as well as the entire performance. NICE!
I love music like this, a well constructed track and everyone performing like professionals. Great addition with the clarinet. Mix is fantastic, I like the added percussion too.
We need more music like this here, keep 'em comin'!
Very nice track, brings back my days of playing with Cleo Lane
and a few other ladies that liked to Samba...
Back then I was playing Congas, Bongos and about 8 different
kinds African Drums...
Them were the days of fun, travel with lots of Honeys and Money...
beautifully done all around obviously. Pace Change? YES! So much talent on whomever laid the licks on that sax its nutty. Vocally she sounds great *construtive critisisim* her vox are perharps a lil raw and not processed enough for my liking, that is to say this is obviosly the sound your going for so no prop. but a lil chorus or just a bit of delay could really enhance the message....Strong work
Thanks allot, Flonut7. Glad you like it. Actually, I thought about adding some effects to her vocals, but it is so pure and clean, I just didn't want to muddy it up, but I appreciate your thoughts on this.
Wow Shamozee truly speaks the truth this time haha...:)
I expected much heavier funk sax action (1:46, 3:42), for now it sounds just like taken from an another, more chilled ballad recording (too 'effect'?) but it still works nicely so I won't bother.
great gospel track i like some of the bridges the best but the sax is a little panned to the left side a bit I don't know it just makes it sound off probably done with intent though, when you mixed it...
Thanks allot for your time. Yes, I like to pan everything except bass and lead vocals. I pan the individual drums left, middle, and right, so you get a nice left to right movement as the fills are played.
Musicante,
Interesting approach and the transitions blended well. The elements you introduced were brave at times but you had them under control.
Mark.
Solid piece of work, has a real good feel but anything you put her
voice to is going to sound good...
Unless the Music and mix is way out of tune....Can't miss... :)
This on the other hand has taste, with a cool style will work
every time...
Gospel is Patricia`s natural talent I think...I was fortunate to do a couple of collabs with her in the genre a while back...This is great stuff guys....Its got that soulful vibe that speaks to the heart & the great bunch of people playing here just raises the bar waaaay up there....You can do a tone more of these if you like (please)....I`ll just listen & fav when it gets done....Ed
I agree...Patricia is a real talent and quite generous to allow us to use her tracks for our projects. Thanks for your kind words about our little group.
Nice track Guys...Solid adds by all...
For my taste the guitars are just a bit to deep, in the reverb
they are placed in a good space...but as I said my taste...
Very laid back groove, makes you want to move well done
by all...
