There is a house in my neighbourhood for sale in case a drummer by the name of Scott would like to move up this way...there would be room for the rest of the band too...haha...always top notch music and production...a pleasure to listen too..the horns do take this one in a bit of a jazz direction with the swing beat..its good in any genre..I`m diggin it....well done...again (I think Franco is a bit of a musical genius)...Ed
You gave Scott a nice compliment with a chuckle. He said if he were to move there, you'd be the first person he'd look up for a great jam session. I agree, Franco is a musical genius. He is composer of most of our tracks.
Yeah, this one was a bit tricky to put a genre to, but thought 'rock' might be a good catch-all.
Anyway, we all appreciate your ear and for taking the time to leave your kind words.
Such a groove. I love it. The drums sound so crisp and up close, and I really appreciate that from a producer's perspective. The organ adds a nice flair to the song and the panning was appropriate. Great work on this. The guitar solo was a pleasant surprise!
Woow beautiful track overall,I love live instruments and they all came alive in here. The sax killed it too.I love the vocals totally brilliant. As for genre I classify this as Fusion jazz not more of rock.Love the production, keep it up guys!!
Thanks so much, Lechina. Glad you like it and took the time to comment.
This track is actually 'adult alternative' which is not an option. I've never cared for the genre options here on LM. There's too much of the 'not needed' and not enough of the 'needed' genres, but that's another discussion.
Thanks a lot, my friend. So glad you like my work on your song. It's easy when your compositions are so good. We've done some fine music over the years along with our friends.
Franco is sounding smooth tonight...I should be having a glass of wine with this one..(But I`m just having one of the local barley beverdiges for now)...you guys always get greeat sax in there...I like the way you do drums Scott..stay so well in the pocket with just the right little embellishments (I dislike the over-playing drum demos that sometimes accompany less tasty mixes)...Always good listening...always leaves me with the impression that this is a pro bunch of players (and I know I`m repeating myself)...great job guys....Ed
It's always great to hear from you, Ed. We all appreciate your compliments and kind word. It really means alot coming from a fine musician like yourself.
Ahhhh, that sax was awesome! I think I have a soft spot for saxophone. Keep it up, this was a groovy tune that I enjoyed listening to :) That "Mama Mia" vocal was a neat addition as well.
When does your tour start? You guys sound like a live band jamming. Vocals always add to a track, that was good to hear. Seasoned pros having fun, always a pleasure folks!
OH, man!! If I were in the same room with you right now, I would so High Five you! This track is a pure thrill. I would pay for this, and then pay for it again...hahah. As if that sexy sax, funky drums and piano were not enough...you gave us those AHHHHMAZING QUIRKY VOCALS! It's like Talking Heads and Jazz came together and had a baby...lol.
Was looking for some good listening, so I just stopped by here...and, as usual I found what I was looking for....always a treat listening to your music guys.It is always well done & has that pro sound & talented musicianship..and I would indeed fancy joining you for a drink...Ed
Absolutely love that phaser-pad. That sound from the late 70's is coming back again. (TY David Bowie.. Blackstar) Sweet Tune you have made.Nice solos from 2:20 on. tasteful and restrained.
Awesome job guys.
Cru
Thanks alot, Cru. I hope my stupidity isn't showing, too much, but I'm assuming the 'phaser-pad' is what our keyboardist is playing? I know of David Bowie, but will look up the others.
Yes, the older stuff does appeal to us, greatly. The newer stuff just doesn't have that "IT" factor.
Always a great pleasure hearing your comments...Please keep them coming.
For me it's better pop or jazzy tune than rock but understand those progressive rock influences in the song...those solos for example...everything is perfect here as usual...the quality of the musicians and the song are incredible...
Yeah, I was a bit unsure about the genre, too. It has the heavier bridge, so decided on the 'rock' genre. The choices here are not very good, so you can't really narrow down what the tracks actually are.
Anyway, thanks allot for your complimentary words. We all appreciate it.
I like this song. I could tell a lot of work went into this and I appreciate that a lot. I always love listening to tracks that use real instruments. It makes me appreciate the song so much more! Very nice work and hope to hear more from you guys in the future!
Nice one!
Really like your band's overall musical complexity, the feeling of human play - its really inimitable with loops or virtual instruments. Great work!
I feel like I should be sitting at a table somewhere not too far from the stage...sipping on an expensive wine and waiting for my serving of steak diane.....haha...I`ve said it before..you guys have a plugged band...all the best talent going...and the music that only real players can make...salute....Ed

Scott does the drum tracks and also the mixing, so he's quite particular about that aspect.

I love your Talking Heads analogy. Those 'quirky' vocals are Franco doing his Italian rap.
Maybe one day we can do something together. We love your vocals.
