EYEDYE, Im not all that much into rap but this is an excellent all round track everything fits and i really like the vocals very well put together arrangement good job best regards Robbie.
Good job.
An actual rap track with more than 2 words
That you can actually listen to on here.
First part I immediately thought em. Great job bro, I enjoyed it.

such a fun arrangement. Haven't heard ur other stuff but i can see you are on ur grind and getting in your groundwork now to build up a real skill set eventually. Lyrically on par with hard working amateur hip hop artists or soundcloud rappers. But more then ur raps i really liked the beat. that whit was wonky as fuck. good job bro
Very interesting composition u have here EYEDYE, melody and transitions have been done with superb effort! As well as instrumentally inclined beat patterns. I enjoyed all this too well. Keep up the great work! never let your vocal pipes fade away! keep them lyrics coming! hope all is well - EazyBeatz :)
This is good. awesome production on the vocals. You have been really improving over the last year ehh? Myself, not a fan of the hip hop genre, but I can appreciate the best of it. I know you do metal. I could hear in the chorus a full on metal explosion vocally and instrumentally. good tune.! Fav´d
Cru
I think I've been approving quite a bit as well. And I also thought about doing some screams in the chorus but thought it would be too much as the music has a lot going on that area already. Might get drowned out or have too much going at once. Maybe I will try in the future. Thanks for the listen!
Guess I have developed a habit since being around LM of listening to genres I never used to pay much attention to....so I blame creative guys like you for that...This ain`t your plain everyday hip hop/rap stuff....Its the kind of creativity that kicks it way up above the canned crowd...I am paying particular attention to the job you did on the composition & instrumentation...the arrangement has a structure that just makes musical sense...and I`m not ignoring the lyrics or vocal delivery....on time and on the money.....You nailed this one my friend...length was fine....great track...Ed
Hey thanks Ed! One of my goals when creating music is giving something that everyone can get into whether they listen to the said genre or not.. I strive for a style that incorporates many elements and to not be bound to one genre even within the same song. The musical aspect had been sitting for quite some time, and I had no idea what to do vocally. This song eventually forced me to create a new style of vocals for me, which I quite enjoyed and I'm glad you did as well!
uniqueness again...your creativity's got no end :-)
I don't like rap, hip hop but this is too good musically...experts will tell you the truth, I only get my hand to shake it with yours :-)
What's up EYEDDYE. Upon reading this, I hope you, family and friends are happy and in the best of health. Loved the track. It kinda has a System A Down feel with your style infused. It's really cool.
For this style of music, I like the little imperfections, makes it more human. Back then, when I was recording a lot using MIDI, I used to quantize everything. I noticed that everything sounded tight but robotic. Eventually I learned just to quantize certain instruments and the results where obvious.
Keep doing your thing man, you guys are in the right path.
Peace man!
P.S. If you have stems for this and want the track polished a bit, just hit me up. I'd gladly hook you up.
You stated that this is a garage recording, so I will not critique tone in any way.
Intro panning is pretty cool, slowly rising on the right. This sounds like the one part that was recorded direct.
When everything comes in at 0:11, it moves nicely, till around 0:26 when a few rhythms fall apart. Really, the only issue with the music, and taking into account this is a garage recording, is the drummer and guitarist aren't tight. 0:11 to 0:21 sound pretty off. From 0:32 to 0:38 the drummer slows down considerably, showing they haven't played it together enough to know the other's speed. Are you using any kind of click when recording? Garage or not, drummers need to learn how to do it.
Cant fault the writing. Punk Metal. Chorus is catchy. Lead guitarist sounds fast, but its not in time. I dig all the writing and structure, but the togetherness of the instruments is lacking. I only say this because I've heard very tight garage recordings. Are you recording everyone together, or separate, adding vocals later?
Vocal-wise, you can scream really well. I also like your spoken word at times, like your last track. My opinion, you guys should have two vocalists. You scream and someone else sings. Hey man, I cant sing for shit. Someone was nice enough to tell me that to my face once. I still appreciate it.
You guys have some awesome potential. Even in a garage environment, once the track is written, the drummer recording his written part to a click in headphones will make you guys sound so much better, then record the guitars using the drum track as the click so it all feels natural to the guitarist. Whether it's the guitars or drums recorded first, the click keeps you all sounding tight as fuck, and you guys will get there quick when effort is injected at every stage.
Good stuff. I hope my honesty helps. No Lies of Advice, or complaining about screams. Just a thumbs up and a quick pointer.
hey Ev, good to hear a critique from you. Always full of honesty and real feedback.
Recording is all separate. Drums, then guitars, vocals being last. A click may or not have been used during the recording. I am not present at these recordings so I honestly could not say. However, my guitarist and drummer know each others playing style extremely well as they have played with each other for years. The problem isnt exactly that they dont know how to play with eachother, its that we are all learning the recording process as they have not done so for many years, and I only know Vocal recordings. Off time and lack of tightness is just part of us learning how to do everything, and we are getting better. You shouldve heard our first attempt haha.
With that being said, I do appreciate the kind words and honest feedback. We know its not perfect, we know things can always be adjusted, and we will do so, but for now we just wanna get some music out there cuz right now, its passable and listenable which is what we're aiming for.
Im glad to hear that you think we have have lots of potential, coming from a respectable individual like yourself means a lot. Hopefully the next recording that I put up will be even better, and you can really hear what we have to offer :)
Thanks man -EYEDYE
No shortage of energy and enthusiasm going on here. I wouldn't worry about whether it's a basement tape or recorded in the best studio in the world, the point is to capture the bands performance and playing style. Honestly, this is better than most demos I hear from local bands. Any club owner would certainly book your band with such a recording in my opinion. Music is not supposed to be perfect and sound like a robot played and produced it, it should have a human feel, which this one does.
I still have no idea how singers/screamers can do that type of singing without blowing out their throats, so kudos to your abilities to belt it out with gusto! This rocks, no doubt about it. Good luck with your band!
"Honestly, this is better than most demos I hear from local bands."
We thought the same thing ;)
We are getting shows booked by promoters all the time so clearly someone sees the talent within. Glad you could enjoy as well!
And honestly I couldnt tell you how i do the screams either haha
Daaamn, that reminds me Static-X's tracks. What a proffesional song, dope as hell.
I'd want to hear it in oldschool NFS kinda Most Wanted or Underground, hell, so cool sound
My favourite rock/metal band is S.O.A.D. there are 2 singers in the band Serj and the guitarist...they were able to sing everything in every style together...that's the starting point...:-)
I very much like your screaming and howling, that's nearly professional...can't say this from the singing...my personal problem is that you have a nasal tone of your voice and I don't like that...you are clear, your harmonies aren't false maybe with a little reverb on it at the studio, could help...
music is incredibly good...drum is a bit back on my humble opinion (calculate that it's a basement project)
all in all, great track and this will be a winner in stucio if you plan to go ...
Im very familiar with SOAD, some of my fav tracks are from them, as well as some features Serj did for other bands.
I do agree the drums are not as explosive as I would want them. As with the singing its not my favorite either, to be quite honest I never liked the way it was on this song, but it still fits somehow. Im sure some some studio time could fix these issues, but for now, ill accept the love/hate relationship. Glad you think the music itself is very well done, as well as the screams being near professional. -EYEDYE
Definetly one of the best spoken word tracks I ever heard. The story is captivating especially as it feels like an inner discussion and struggle to keep your head above water. The music is very supportive and blends in well. Just remember, life is never worthless. You are gifted and I am glad I pushed the play button on this track!
