hi Ookami, this is some very fine piece of music, probably the best production from all I've heard so far from you. Some happy and positive funky vibes in here - that's why I enjoyed it. Some nice synth lines in here as well. Is there a bit of a piano used here in the background? I think it's quite nice also. Congrats, Alex
The bass part and melody seem to be off by about 1/32 around the 1 min part. Try to get that synced and it will provide for a much more melodious part their. 1:33 the melody needs to come out more- seems to be overpowered by the other parts. 2:33 again with the out of sync. It always seems to be just off. I love the song though and believe that there is real potential for the song!
Oh yeah. This song was very very complex. I do apologize for those mistakes. This was my first ever track that was done by ear strictly by PTX. Thanks for your comment though! :)
I echo Orlando`s comments Ookami...very proficiently played and very enjoyable listening...I think piano is a wonderful instrument and to my taste it stands perfectly on its own as well as in the company of other instruments...I dont have a good piano vst myself (and I do not play keys well enough to invest much in one)..I often use the piano sounds in my old Alesis QS6 synth (sample based) that I have had since the late 90s...very nicely done...keep them coming...Ed
Hey, this isn't bad for a song made with a single instrument. I guess I was a little disappointed when I clicked on an "acoustic" labelled track and found that it was a VST. That's just me though. It was, however, pleasing to listen to.
Truly sorry for that, my friend. I couldn't find any other appropriate genre listing. I'm glad you were pleased to hear this, but I'll look for another genre listing. Perhaps chill-out. Nevertheless, I appreciate the comment, and sorry for the disappointment. Take care.
I don't know the song, but this sounds very nice.
However, I have to point out which piano you used. The piano sounds slightly dull and one you'd use during vintage times.
Maybe if you use a Yamaha piano, it could sound prettier? o:
Thank you for your recommendation. Believe it or not, I'm using the best stuff I have. In this situation, I'm using Nexus 2, Dance Volume 2. Other VST's are too robotic and uninteresting. Fl Keys is very great for my CPU, but it's sounding is way too computerized. I apologize for my sounding being not pretty, but when you only have so much make-up, you do the best that you can. :) Take care, and thanks again!
Very nice song, I do agree that the VST takes away the human element which would drive this song so much more emotionally. I can see why you love thissong though, brilliant chord progressions.
peace
Cru
Thanks Cru. This is one of my new favorite songs done by Pentatonix, so I just had to do a piano version of it. Since they only use their voice, and no other instrument, it was possible. Thanks again!
I appreciate your comment. I tried to make it identical to the original. Of course, it won't sound as good compared to actual voices, however I'm satisfied with this. Thanks again.
Thank you Danke. I really love how this came out. It was enjoyable for me. I recommend checking out the original one Pentatonix made, then listen to mine again. I attempted to make it nearly identical to each other.
I appreciate it, but I didn't really play the piano on this track. I can, but I pretty much used piano sounding vst's to make this all. Nevertheless, I appreciate your comment. Take care!
hey Ookami,
You did really great job with programming the piano here. However the natural dynamic and flow of the piano playing was lost but still it is nice just as a midi-music.
This song is really nice with all these polyphonic textures going on. Very good choice adding long reverbs.
I enjoyed it. Alex
Thanks Alex. My intention was to have it identical to the original, with piano sounding vsts only. I recommend checking out the original then mine again. Thanks again!
Very smooth uplifting piece you have here GoldenOokami, also those transitions flow seamlessly with each other. Very beautiful peice of work here great job! -EazyBeatz :)
