Description : This is my 2nd attempt at a track in Ableton Live8,
The main body of the drums, bass and synths are all my own programming, there are a few more loops in this track then I would normally use, but, the end results justify their inclusion I think. There is a small part of me that still considers it cheating a little lol :-) .... silly I know as most of today's popular and commercial music is all loop and sample based.
This track was written to be in the middle of a DJ set , you know the ones .. the tracks that you can never remember, yet they make the difference.
I'm quite pleased with it but yet again I think the sound engineering needs a few tweeks My sound set up is not the best and I find it difficult to get the width and depth I'm after! ( practice I suppose !! )
Would love to hear what you think and any tips or advise would be greatly appreciated. Tenz :-)

This is what you get when i try to make a Free Radical song.
In the end, it does not sound like something I've ever heard from him.
But it was, after all, a try.
Thus, it is not completely different, ´cause i have not sung this time.
And it is electronic music but .....
However, I like the resulting song. Hope you too. Only 1 sample was used here - Anubis-Anubis-Loop all the synth´s are played by me and i added some drumsounds with powerdrums2 played by myself Comments are sure welcome.

Description : A drum and bass, electronic something or other inspired track. The main Melodies taken from short loops I cut from some sessions my bro &e's recordings he had made at my location. I had been meaning to use his sounds for a minute and he said it would be cool. Finally did.

Description : Another attempt in my continuing efforts to learn how make a trance track. Is intended to have a vocal doing the melody. Would try to find a singer but need to work out lyrics first. For this track I tried to make the melody not too repetitive. I limited it to four bars max of the same melodic phrase.

Description : This is a remix with permission, which goes to a contest. Basically progressive house with trance elements. The download option will be avaiable after the contest closes.
Update: mastering and mixing redone! it should work, well hope so. Update 2: now it must work! no more compression (at leas I think), not really satisfied with the waveform, but maybe it`s okay! Thanks for the help people!

Description : Would you be at all surprised if I told you this was a Trance edit of And Then She Left Me Again? Didn't do a whole lot to it. Just changed the bpm to 138, swapped out the drums and slightly changed the drop. That's all I've had time to do since I uploaded the house/techno version. Nice track my friend, liking what you have used here, solid beat and bassline, good arrangement, nice vocal and synths, only thing on that I think you need to have a better lead intro to the piece, as it jumps right out at you, like a grad build up the track at the start,to me I would have put this one into the genre of Techno, as someone said to me when I first started here, Trance is a smoother sounding piece, harder tracks, are normally a Techno tracks, sometimes it is hard to pick the genre, personally I would have gone Techno with this one, but it is what you decide you want it to go in :) But as the other reviewer said, very grovvy energetic piece, just my thoughts my friend, as I said do like the track, thought would try and give you feedback, that is something that has helped me grow, getting feedback about things like what I have mentioned....adding this to favs as I do like what you have done so fars...Peace and respect mate....Estefano....
totally take your point about the gradual build up to the track. When I wrote the track I kinda had the thought that it would fit into the middle of my Fledgling DJ set so therefore there didn't seem any reason to include a gradual build up as the track would have been mixed in with something similar.
As far as the genre goes, always get a little confused, its my age I guess LOL. But you are right, this harder sound would fit better into the techno genre.
Its always great to hear from mate, any comments are always gratefully received and I always take the comments with the helpfulness and kindness that they were intended.
