Description : Another silly "dance?" track :-)
140 BPM
NORMAL
adjective
Conforming with, adhering to, or constituting a norm, standard, pattern, level, or type; typical.
"normal room temperature; one's normal weight; normal diplomatic relations."
But if it is not clearly defined, it has a different meaning for everyone.
Like this music, for me it is normal, but is it for you?
Enjoy :-)

Liking this one quite a bit. It has quite a few different little elements to it, which makes it interesting to listen to, imo. Somewhat reminds of playing the Wipeout games on Playstation it's got that futuristic, quirky, industrial edge to it.
Well, I realize from your profile that you are retired, (white-haired grampa making dance music) - just like me. Except, that you almost certainly DO have time to develop your proficiency in making music and, more importantly, have fun doing it. I am 78 years old. Still learning. Still creating, as best I can. More slowly, definitely. But, I have no intention of stopping. Too much fun. :)
Hi Eric, Indeed, just 9 year younger and most likely some time left on this planet to create many more tracks, just have to find a free site where I can stash 40+ new tracks per year :-) I guess I have to start dropping older stuff here on LM.
Great track, builds up really well. Reminds me of Tangerine Dream at times. The song has a really nice feel to it and flows really well, lots of things going on and keeping it interesting. I like the slight interlude at 4.00 and then it's back to business. All in all a great track, I like it.
Such a groovy and soothing track there. I really enjoyed the vocals and industrial effects. Didn't even realize that song was almost 7 minutes long, it just flew by.
Great work TheFrenZ!
I love this track. Fun, whimsical, upbeat. Love the hypnotic beat and bass. And all the different elements coming in and out. I also like how you use your voice as an instrument in this and other tracks I've heard. Reminds me a bit of kraftwork or tangerine dream or something. Sounds great too in terms of production.
Thanks, glad you like it. In the beginning I picked up the rule "Every 4 to 8 bars a change" to keep the listener focussed, I still try to adhere to that rule. Our voice/mouth can be used for so much more than just speach or singing, I experiment regularly with it, just take serious out of the equation and have fun :-)
Thanks for the listen and glad you like it. For me each track is a journey, I start off with a sound and create a melody, this repeats till I start to get the idea of a song, the basis, from there its starts growing by adding sections, instruments, effects, automation's, vocals. Just like Trial and Error :-)
This is REALLY interesting track, TheFrenZ! Hypnotic bass and percussion foundation, with a really eclectic second layer of SFX, another layer of vocals, and yet another layer of synth melody lines, all weaving in and out. Panning of the various components was really well done and the overall mix was really clear, with all parts having their distinct places in the frequency spectrum. I liked, especially, that you kept a decent amount of dynamic range in the mix, particularly for a dance track. Really enjoyed it.
Hi Eric, glad you like it, thanks for the comment. I'm a jealous of you and some others here on LM who can dissect a song and lift out musical and technical details. I'm missing knowledge and years of experience in the music world, I'm just playing around in Reaper on my laptop for allmost 18 months now. And with my age I will never become an expert like you guys and girls.
Back to the music: Except for the thunder and my vocals, it's all MIDI and this time for the majority the Massive VST. I create my own melodies, drum paterns, automations. I mix my own creations but don't master, I seldomly use compressors, I use limiters where needed to shave off peaks that occur due to sound stacking, I don't participate in the loudnesswar. True peak: -0.3, Clips: 0, LUFS-I: -13.3, LRA: 2.8. LRA could be better but I didn't focus on it. And all of that just for the fun of creating.

This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
