Am I the only one who hears some funk in this? Yes, it's definitely 80s action-movie-esque, but the acoustic live-sounding drums add a different character than an 80s style drum machine would. It's a unique piece, and well done. -Aaron
yo Aaron, i think it coulda been a good Soul Train segueway. that drum is timeless man. it’s funny, after being openly in love with everything i heard up to then in the 80s i became a total snob, it had to be free improv, 12-tone, or eno. i exaggerate but you get it. the truth is tho i never stop listening to anything.
nice work Mike, great bass, the percs are great too it would certainly work as an action score for a gumshoe movie/tv show, yes its a little short piece but it works for me, your wacky and wonderful style that nobody else seems to match
cheers Paul! i was pretty chuffed at how compact this turned out — it felt like all of side one when i was mixing it. haha just playing that bass over and over i laughed at the length. good to see you amigo
Coulda been the theme music for Beverly Hills Cop or something! Great little trippy snippet. That bass goes to the soles of my feet, it's insane in my head phones. I'd like to hear more...Bobo.
jesus now you just reinfected me with that faltermier genius shit song. after lotsa noodling i thought the bass sat pretty nicely, glad it reached your soles.
Don't remember hearing a track from u in this genre. I like the 70s style vibe goin. Bass my favorite! Cool percussion! Jazzy flavor the melt down and the end was funny
hey man here’s the story. john d is a square who needs $17M like yesterday. his punk neighbor cons him into financing a $24M coke deal and gets him talking this shit on camera. the punk turns snitch and sells the video to the FBI. at john d’s trial the snitch is shown to be such a chump the FBI gets embarrassed and d is acquitted but never gets his $17M and winds up fixing clocks.

Description : I have been using LooperMan for practice for some time now. This my most recent track. The only loop in the song is BabyGee's vocals. Free to download and if you repost tag me so I can share it as well.
Description : A psychedelic techno cello epic. It's not really techno as it's only 110 BPM but something like that (eg breakbeat), with lots of banging beats and arpeggiated acid synths, plus a whole load of my layered cello playing techniques. There aren't that many synths used but they do a lot of work and are carefully automated. No guitar. Drums are mostly a lot of drum loops, supported by a few programmed acoustic drumkits. Very busy and complicated with loads of different sections (funky, chilled, fast, heavy) that make up a constantly progressing trip. I don't know if there's any other cello music like this so let me know if you think there is. Interesting feedback appreciated - criticism, praise, ideas etc. Enjoy...
Description : Summer type dance track, for those precious 2 weeks off, if you can get them! Made around a selection of different loops and some keys from me.
Description : Inspired by an experimental percussion piece I heard. Rhythmic ticking builds into pounding beats and heavy soundscapes. I haven't done any mixing or mastering yet so tell me what you think. Any and all comments are welcome.
