Description : A little trip in 5/4. Normally we do not enter one synth challenges due to our style. However, when Reason Studios announced the Algoritm FM synth challenge, we discovered its potentials for physical modeling and took the bait. Peters guitar was not added, we wanted to use Algoritm only to see how far we could take it. We did not win xD Go to the lyrics to find out what it is about.

Fit for a medieval banquet with plenty of mead and some fair maidens dancing by fire light. Or is it just me? I enjoyed the melodies personally. I'd like to offer more substantive feedback but it's late and I'm a simple man and I like what I like...oh and I really enjoy the background to the mythology etcv you provide. Hope you keep them coming, Chris.
Hi Chris
Thanks a lot for visit and kind feedback. No worries, your imagination is substantial enough to us. A banket? Why not? After all we are hailing the holy tools that feed us. We gladly provide the inspiration sources for our tunes for simple (and humble) men like you and us. Thanks again. :-D
great sound lads, to be fair algorithmic sounds are way above my head. i wouldn't know were to start, its been around for years but i think you have to be a great musician to understand it, bit like rocket science :)) you have produced a good medieval piece here really like the bells too and its great to see you rise to the challenge showing off your versatility but like others Peter's guitar would be nice to here front and centre. its great for everybody to here different styles in my opinion well done guys
Greetings Dimestop. Once again your appreciative comments are warm and welcome. We are happy that you are so perceptive to our style. Tbh, if it was not for the contest, I would have lost patience with the synth after half an hour. But I took the fight, experimentet a lot until something got us close enough. Thanks again, Bro. Stay safe.
Hello, first of all a very interesting topic! The run is fluid and playing with the bells and octaving is outstanding. I also like this almost Nordic, medieval sound. You feel transported to another time. But despite everything, somehow something is missing. Maybe as BaoBou already said single guitar riffs or chords. I think you can make a lot more out of the song. So far it's lovely and beautiful, but it wears itself out a little while listening, the musical arc could be more exciting. Craftsmanship is good. The mix is clean and the mastering is consistent. Everything perfectly coordinated. Greetings Manuela
Hi Manuela
Thanks for your kind comment. I agree that it s like a sketch, but we made it fast to reach the deadline for the competition and never had to time to remake it with better gear and Peters guitar. We get new ideas all tlme that take our attention. One day when they run out, we may return for a version II. :-)
It's definitely fun, and you worked in an interesting way with the 5/4th, in some parts more or less working around it, sometimes high-lighting it. I like the somewhat medieval sound you achieved in parts.
Regarding the one-synth challenge, I'd not heard about that before but I suppose you use only... One... Synth? :D
I think you made full use of it, but if you let go of it, I think you can make it more interesting. I'd definitely welcome a bit of that guitar, either some power chords towards the end or a good solo!
Hi Baobou. Thanks for dropping by with some nice feedback and engaged comment. Yes, one synth, he he. ;-D To be honest, none of the voices but the effects would have survived if it was not for the contest. Though this FM synth has potentials for physical modeling, it is pretty bad compared to the rest of our modeling gear. If you heard the string section, viola and choirs in isolation, you would notice how artifical they sound. A remake would imply replacement of both strings and flutes. The bells wouldn’t be octaved but layered with Peter’s guitar as front instead. Thanks again for the visit, mate.

Description : Inspired by traditional turkic and mongolic old music. The choice of instruments, such as oud and Daf, are an inspiration from the turkish culture and some rythm styles are inspired by mongolian music. I Hope you enjoy it and have use for it.

Description : This track is an experimental version of the popular Hindu mantra Om Namah Shivaye, wonderfully sung by Ankit Sharda. The female background vocalist doesn't want her name mentioned in the credits.
The song was created on Caustic Beta Version 3.8, and mastered on Mastering Beta Version 5; both Android apps from Single Cell Software. The new Sawsynth synthesizer in Caustic was used in the background & synth bass (paired with another bass).

Description : It is a music created with logic pro x, with African flavors, the beat was created with maschine studio and all instruments in midi.

Description : Not sure about the sideboards on the Ethnic genre. Trying out new sounds here. I'm using sitar and marimba with Indian and Indonesian drums. Does the listener need a solo or spoken word after the melody or does the open part work by itself?
I think it's a good piece. Almost.
Description : This is a Latin -Spanish flavored tune. In fact, I don't see a catagory for it so I put it under 'Ethnic'.
I eat now and then at a 'Mighty Taco' resturant near me and decided to call this one "El Nino". :-)
This tune is kinda off beat for me, but I am sure someone on here will like it. Made from loop a CD I have full of Nylon guitar loops only, I purchased early last year, and put together with other loops and synth for weird effects.
Ha.....maybe I am getting weird since my last tune was heavy metal!
Hope you like it.
