Hi, AtticaElla! I just finished reading your forum thread about why more people don't engage more with the featured tracks. Wasn't sure what I'd find with your stuff, but was VERY impressed with this track. I only post a comment when I really like the track, or think it shows that the LM member has great promise and deserves some encouragement. In this case, it clearly is a very polished piece of work and demonstrates that you definitely can create a really good house track. I''m impressed.
My favourite DM genre is trance, but I think house probably is a close second. I really did enjoy this.
I usually try to provide some constructive comments, although (as in this case) there's no way I could come close to making a track that sounds as good as this. But here goes.
I thought the bass part was a bit indistinct in the mix. I think it was actually the bass patch (timbre), not the level. I am not familiar with the original version, but it would be interesting to hear your remake with a tighter bass sound.
Also, I thought the drums were a bit too prominent in the mix, at least at the end of the track. But, that's really a matter of taste I think, and maybe integral to the sound of the house genre. I never know, in my own tracks, how loud to make the drums parts. They often sound OK on my headphones when I'm doing the mix, but way too prominent when I listen to the mp3 bounce in my car.
Anyway, very nice work! I'm definitely going to check out some of your other tracks! :)
Hi Eric! Thank you for checking out my tunes. Really appreciate it.
Yes, I agree with your bass timbre observation. I think it maybe needs more high end or more distortion. Well it needs something. I will work with your suggestion thank you.
The drums don't seem to me any more prominent than my reference tracks but I didn't reference this particular track in my car. I used to reference a lot on my car but eventually got used to 'dialing' in the mix levels that would sound good in my car before and I just trust that. Guess I just get lazy. I'll check again.
One thing that you've made me realize is that this track might need some level automation on the drums at the beginning and the end as they seem more prominent there compared to the rest of the track. A few db might go a long way.
I really appreciate the listen and feedback. I'll check your tracks soon as well! =D
So, I know absolutely nothing about House, but I do know a little bit about a song that is pleasant to listen to. This is greatly constructed with a beautiful treatment of the vocals. As has been stated before, the mix really is stellar, especially with all that is going on in this. Really impressive work. Happy Holidays!
You have very good sounding mixes. Super clean, specific, and intentional (and no harshness or tacky autotune). You sound like you know what you are doing.
Wow bringer, I must have missed this comment. I apologize. Sometimes I find it hard to keep up with things. Thank you so much for your kind remarks. And I believe I did listen can commented on your track.
Hey Attic one Ella va tune proper 90s vibe, that opening drum beat is hot then the synth, nice melody, great vocal too, well put together it's clean and everything has its place, crystal clear great job on this production
Well, I must have read this comment and meant to reply later and forgot, it's been a week. Belated thank you so much for the listen and the feedback dimestop.
Believe it or not I just discovered her from making this track and been listening to a few of her songs on Youtube. I wonder what else I might be missing out on? Many thanks for your comment crucethus.
Paz y salud.
AtticElla, the bounce you've got going on here is infectious. Impressive overall mix with impeccable clarity. Now for the vocals, just perfect. I like this track definitely. Great work here. Peace.
Description : Unofficial preview* of my upcoming first produced track named Therapy. Litterly a cut out of the track. Uploaded with first thought of letting it hear to a fellow Looperman member for a possible collab later on.
Comments are welcome tho!
About the preview, after the drop will start to another semi drop and with an harder more rawish main chorus part behind. Everything is as good as done now and being checked by demo listeners for response and feedback before getting a last hand at mixing&mastering.
Description : My first house song (on looperman). It's actually mix of progressive and dutch house. Hope you'll enjoy this! :) If you have time you can leave feedback, it's always appreciated!
Description : Ugly ass witch house beat that isn't technically a house beat. (The Drum Track is by LM's Danke.) The Track's based on an older beat of mine with the same name. This version's half as long & not as busy. The Synths are Synthmaster, Massive, Dark Keys & Creep Piano. And of course, It wouldn't be a Clickbait Cabaret beat without nine zillion FX plugins. Pretty sure all of them are on this beat.
Description : Funk House/Disco inspired by Daft Punk
No Samples used
Instruments:
Various vintage synths
Kontakt libraries: Ilya Efimov Telecaster for guitar, Session Horns Pro, Chris Hein Strings, NI Guitars
Vocals: Plogue Chipspeech & Alter Ego
Description : check out janimifsson for these vocals
learning how to do house
good vocal effects
terrible drums
couldnt find a melodic loop to fit the track
figured out the key
the harmony basically matches the melody
probably in some dorian scale or something so
have to learn about that
the drums are my weakest point
good at the start but awful after the beat drop
please comment any songs to listen to to learn drums in this style
any advice please comment
Description : As I was in Berlin recently I was inspired by the Beachhouse Radio from FluxFM . I had a beat lying in a cupboard for years and it was time to do something with it. Together with the great voice of Odarka I did setup a beat that does have a deep feeling to it. I kept it raw and unmastered for now. Let's see where it goes.
Description : Melodic Progressive House with the lyrics by Mr.Shammi (visit his account here for incredible nice acapellas!). The ref is in Melbourne-Bounce-Style.
