Listen To THE CHOKE - VIGIL Live In Helsinki Jazz Song By Thechockehold | Looperman

Description : Full song UPD. Just found ##### tracking of one of our first live gigs back in early 2018. Sorry for nasty bleeds and misses.
Our drummer lost the part of his baggage- cimbals and snare, so he played clubs's Sonor kit and HHX set. I use Nord Stage as midi controller during the live shows and custom NI Kontakt library sampled by myself using VYATKA upright piano. Captured with Tascam 8 track portastudio. Dingwall NG-3 bass guitar, Darkglass Electronics ALPHA-OMEGA 500 amp.

This is insane, out of this world stuff. You really know your instrument, something I wish I was more involved with. Kind of reminds me a bit of Karmakanic, a brilliant rock/jazz progressive band. Great stuff, keep em coming!

Ultra progressive. Respect for pulling off live. Reminds me of the group Yes and Rush a little. Really good playing. Thanks for sharing.

Yes, that's brilliant mate.

the Atonality along with that syncopated drum is fantastic. Are you familiar with the pianist Mike Garson? He used to work with Bowie. This Piano work reminds me of Mike's work on the album ¨Outside¨.

Yes, its me on piano. Most of my live I was guitarist on metal or hardcore bands, back to piano three years ago first time since like 2002 or something (highscholl music classes).

Tnx.

That piano is so badass! It's like an earthquake tremor that rolls on and on. Great dynamics, you guys are pretty tight. You should give these tracks more credit, they aren't as bad as you describe them. It's live as well. :) Plus it sounds like the crowd enjoyed it!

Description : I think it's a late evening song to accompany you for a single drink.
Jazzy in most of the aspects. It is made single handedly so please consider it an experimentation for the thrill of making music.
Hope you will like it.

Description : "Oh no - not jazz metal! You're not supposed to mix those genres together." Yes, but someone's got to and the musical gods have chosen me for the difficult task. 9 mins of instrumental jazz metal - damn I sure know how to write a hit song - US No 1 here I come. Anyway - there's some dark, swinging groovy jazz, with Rhodes and guitar as the main instruments, for a few minutes and then some haunting, thumping evil breaks loose. Look out for the powerful synth horn sound. And then it just gets heavier and heavier before returning to some nice chillgroove funky mystery jazz. Instruments played and/or programmed: electric guitar, bass guitar, electric cello, multiple programmed acoustic drumkits, filtered strings, Rhodes, big synth bass, evil synth horn and a few other assorted synths. I assume this has too much jazz for metallers and too much metal for jazzers. So, only for weirdoes like me who enjoy both. This will surely be too odd for most people but I like to think it's pretty interesting and powerful. Let me know how its weirdness worked for you...

Description : Something a bit different from us. I (Bobo) played guitar, synth, midi bass and percs to this piano loop by LM's most excellent Rasputin. Wataya, stoned as usual, thought he heard Barbara Streisand singing. This is the result.

=============
A nice little jam - I don't seem to find the time and calmness to write lyrics, so let's stick with Instrumentals.

Oh and... no AI in any phase of the creation. Written, played, mixed & mastered by yours truly - I'd rather have my mistakes than AI misuse.

Oh and if you're in a hurry... don't miss my favourite bit which is around 1:40 :D
