That Sax Drive - Ronabo

Name: That Sax Drive
Duration: 224 s
Channel: ronabo
Description: Created this track highlighting 2 Saxophones (alto, baritone). Played some piano chords and put some delay on it. I played around with some percussion and drum variations. The mix may not be as nice as it could be but oh well. I used a synth sound to solo a switch up. Whatcha think?

Great stuff. The sax might be the centerpiece, but the percussion is killing it as well. I love how the high end sounds a little "messy" at 1:28. A very full track. It's great to hear every instrument perform its best.

shellyquest 17th May 2019 10:13 - 7 years ago

I LOVE IT!
I am working on a jazz hip hop fusion album..this is inspirational!

Man, screw the mix.. This was gorgeous.. When you make good instrument choices, and have killer compositions, the mix comes 2nd. I thought this was gorgeous, amazing, and emotional.

ronabo replied 4th Jun 2019 - 7 years ago

Thank you for those comments my friend. I really appreciate it!

Man that delay and sax make this such an emotional song. Very impressive composition. Did a great job selecting your instruments. Plzzzz tell me the name of this sax VST. :)

ronabo replied 12th May 2019 - 7 years ago

Hi Jackdoes, Thanks for your comments and fav. I appreciate it. I use Logic Pro X and it is just one of the Studio Sax sounds that comes with logic.

I like it, actually I love it. If you're looking to collab with a vocalist I'd love to get in on some of the sax drive, just listening though there isn't much room for a vocalist. But as an instrumental, it's good. :-)

ronabo replied 10th May 2019 - 7 years ago

Thanks my friend... I appreciate the comment and means a lot to know that one of the best vocalist is willing to collab on this. Patricia, I would be honored. I can take out some of the sax leaving you all the room needed. Again, thanks for listening and the fav.

Do you have a spotify or soundcloud account where you uploud your sick tracks.
I like hearing them a lot and it would be really cool if you have one of those accounts.
Keep up the good work and have fun doing music ;D

Great work Ronabo, BRAVO! I would make the battery more "fat", like putting some typically Hip Hop kick and snare, but it's just a personal feeling :)

DrowsyCarnivore 16th Feb 2019 13:40 - 7 years ago

Thanks Bleep, I appreciate that. You are correct about nothing better than real instruments. I am not using a real instrument but playing it on my keyboard using sounds from Logic.
