Listen To Two Riffs Breakbeat Song By FreeRadical At Looperman.com

24th Jun 2014 14:13 - 11 years ago
Description : I wasn't going to upload this because it's a headphone mix. I'm moving house so the sound system is packed but i figured what the hell, I'll edit it later if it sounds like crap. Anyway, it's mainly synths with a few loops chucked in for good measure.

This is a nice breakbeat track; at the start it sounds like a track for a video game, but after around 3 minutes it sounds more similar to music from Lunatic Calm than a video game soundtrack. I like how it sounds like a DJ set, but short, because the track changes the more you listen to it but it still sounds like one whole piece and not several put together, so it is nice.

If you have time, please check my electronic music in bandcamp (will be releasing more in later 2014).

Thanks if you reply and keep doing breakbeat! :)

Thanks, i wasn't sure about this because it was a headphone mix. I've been to your page and i thought you make some good stuff. Perhaps we should try a collab some time.

You almost always put stuff together in a cool way...

Not bad at all, for headphones, wonder what you are using...?

Nice One....FR.

As AD said the mixings a bit washed up so this tune is on hold until i get my sound system set back up again. I'm just using a cheap pair of skullcandy headphones so bad mixes are to be expected but i just have to keep making tunes regardless.
Cheers for dropping in and commenting as per usual.

I knew there was something wrong with this track because people weren't tuning in. Sometimes i make stuff that sounds great on headphones but turns out to be a minger when you play it back on a sound system. Unfortunately it's going to have to wait as i'm limited to headphones at the moment.
Cheers for dropping in and pointing out what a suspected but couldn't prove lol.

Another awesome track from you! Unfortunately, I didn't feel like listening to the whole track, so I skipped around lol :) is the voice in the beginning yours, or is it sampled?

Don't worry, ten minutes is a bit too long to pay attention to, I sometimes do that as well.
The voice is from a loopmasters pack called "vintage movie samples 2" It's full of great little one liners like that.
Cheers for stopping by and having a listen.

You and staticnomad should battle it out for the longest track, lol. Haven't been around much, glued to the World Cup and haven't recovered completely from giving up that late goal against Portugal.

This is my first track of the day, listened on my headphones and sounded good to me. Each part had it's own distinct feel and personally I liked the groove and feel of the second half of the song, I guess it would be the middle part. I thought the steel percussion around 6:30 was a good choice. The parts seem to match up nicely and went well with my coffee.

Good luck with the move!

I wondered why it had been a bit quiet round here of late but of course the world cup is on. Thankfully i'm not a football (or soccer as you call it) fan or i'd probably be crying like 90% of the country is at the moment because our team was laughably shit. I prefer tennis myself so i shall be tuning into that.
Anyway, glad you could find a moment to stop by and i'm liking the new avatar as well.
Cheers again wayne.

Wow nine minutes huh? I only have one track that long, which is also a breakbeat, dnb type of track. I guess you have to make it that long sometimes to compensate for the faster bpm. Or you just want it that long, which is fine. More music is always a good thing in skilled execution. I'm five minutes in right now, very smooth transitions. Natural progressions make it sound like a couple different songs almost. Curious, do you listen to a bit of Goldie at all? He probably has some of the longest tracks I've ever heard, his longest being literally an HOUR LONG. Entitled "Mother" and his Inner City Life track is pretty classic topping 20 something plus minutes i think. Perfect for DJ's though huh, that's alot of material to work with that they can chop up in a club or event. And the 3 min mark kind of reminds of Elite Force from this soundtrack

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYqIfj12CiU

The synth sounds pretty similar, I'm into alot of soundtracks. There are alot of underrated gems in many games, movie and any soundtrack really. Alot of people miss them i think though due to more mainstream artists and commercial releases. Anyways, intelligent production FR. Be seeing ya around. peace

Yeah, i've run out of slots so now i just try and cram as much tunage as possible into the allocated space. I figure we have about ten minutes before you have to start lowering the quality so i might as well fill it up. Besides it's fun blending tracks together.
I do like Goldie but haven't listened to him for a while but i also made a track an hour long for fun once but it probably wasn't as good as his.
I love that game as well and it's soundtrack so i probably do get influenced by stuff like that.
Anyway, cheers for dropping in and leaving your thoughts. It's much appreciated.

All started with a Future Bass Drum with Reverb at 140 BPM. It sound like Dubstep and then all go fast. A very Deep Synth Flute with Reverb as Bass. Hig Synth for the Melody. High Flute with Reverb for other. And High Wobbling Synth with stereo Phaser. Many Crazy Snares and lite Stick Hits as Percussion with Reverb. End a Pad with the same Stereo Phaser effect. Yeah thats it. I work 4 Hours at this Track. Sounds Like Future Bass or Dubstep with a lite Happy EDM touch. Please leave some Feedback. Which genre is this? Whats good , Whats Bad? Description : BRICS, the new economic powerhouse of emerging nations Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. In the struggle for economic dominance will cooperation prevail regarding climate change and other issues of global importance or will it be business as usual?

This track is a heavily sampled break beat melange featuring Russian vocalist Doctyabrev and excerpts of speeches in languages of the other three countries including Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, and Marina Silva of Brazil. There's a whiff of Maceo's "Cross the Tracks" in there too.

Much thanks to all the Looperman contributors including: Doctyabrev, fanto8bc, djnab, blueskies, buffalonugaluss, megapaul, and 7venth12. 100 bpm, key of E.
