You really have to appreciate music like this. It reminds me of some old school Shaft movie. Nice job with this Scott.....especially on the drums. Btw have you heard Soundhound's version of Supernatural-feat. Samantha Nova with the guitars? You should check it out.

ScottB55 replied 4th May 2014 - 12 years ago

Thanks allot, Dan. Glad you like it. Yeah, I like that old school stuff.

I'll check out Supernatural.

Cheers,
Scott

Hahhh...what a brilliant feelgood one from the 70th, 80th movies...those were the feelings and the days of 'we are the kings'...:-)
Those 'whakachuku' guitars are awesome...

Bonjour Scott ....

Not to mention OSS 117 ....

You have great a talent .... and also a good memory. At listening to this track, we're really immersed in the intrigue of espionage. Like in the good old days ....

Respect for your concept here ....

Dan

ScottB55 replied 8th Apr 2014 - 12 years ago

Thank you, Dan. I appreciate your compliment.

'OSS 117'...Not familiar with it. Assuming it's a show or movie.

Cheers,
Scott

BRILLIANT job capturing a very cool era in music! The Mission Impossible theme is probably my most favorite theme song from back in the day. This tune of yours gives me that same vibe. So, hats off to you, bro!

Thanks, Mykael. Glad you checked it out. Yep, Mission Impossible was another that had that cool jazz vibe. Some early Bond films, too.

Cheers,
Scott

I like that funky guitar in my left ear. Some cool changes, lot's of space but lot's going on. Sounds like a '70's movie soundtrack, I like it! Sounds great in my headphones!

ScottB55 replied 7th Apr 2014 - 12 years ago

Thanks allot, Wayne. I'm glad you find the sound quality ok. I finished writing my description, but you pretty much nailed what was going on in my head. When I do these retro tracks, I also like to use that aggressive panning like they did back in the day.

Cheers,
Scott
