You know I am a Big Fan of yours- I love a great guitar and you always deliver on all fronts with outstanding playing and musical composition on all your songs just a pleasure to listen to -don't know how I missed another Jewel! Fila
As always thankyou for the warm words and the listen. I too am a big fan of yours. Nothing like some OLD SCHOOL SOUL MUSIC.I will be stopping by soon. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Thank you for the listen and the comments. Sorry about the delay reply, conections been down for about two weeks. I will stop by soon. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
YESSER, BRING IT. I will convert the mp3 to 24bit wave and go to work and master it. If the track is hot,(hitting odb) bring the mix, down to -3db that insures that I can play with volumes and not get distortion and get a clean master. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Hey Mac Man...I owe you an apology...(my comment on your young age is likely off side)...I was reading profiles on the Loop last night...and while I was reading sevenola`s I hit play on your track....and went WOW....this doesn`t sound like a 19 year old musician...it was just too good....so, anyway..sorry about that...and it is a really good track by the way.....Ed
This is nice smooth jazz... I like this a lot. It sounds a like something that I would compose. I play a lot of jazz chords. You are playing the guitar bro... keep it up!
Upon another listen I really really like this tune. It bridges Jazz-chill and hip hop in some very interesting ways. The percussion is so good on this one. It also reminds me a bit of Roxy Music's Avalon album in it's lounge-slick-cool-attitude. nice work!
Steve
Hi mackit....at your age I could have never come close to doing anything like this...I was reading your bio so was a bit surprised (pleasantly) to find a chillout track on top of your list...I notice some comments on production..actually it sounds really good to me so I`m not sure why...perhaps a little widening on the accompaniment instruments??...but we know that reality is often best represented by just some placement of the instruments in the sound stage rather that too much artificial processing...The music is really well done..the composition shows that a lot of thought has been put into it..I often insert a ms (mid-side) processor vst on some tracks just to keep the away from centre (and the lead) a bit but thats a matter of taste ...as is reverb and the other things we use...I enjoyed this one just the way it is...and listening to this kind of music composition from a young guy makes me think you are going to really raise above the crowd in the future..You`re part way there now...Your passion and investment in learning shows....keep on doing it...I`m sitting here with a smile after listening...way to go....Ed
Thankyou for the listen and the young man comment.LOL. I too, use a ms to evan things out. It depends on the overall sound I'm after and what genre of music it is. Thanks again. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
Hey B.I'm a cool old school dude. I know you ment no harm. when I read that description I knew I was going to relisten to that track 100 more times to see if I was tripping when I did the sound prossesing. NOW I GOT EAR FATIGUE. My next track is doomed. I realy do like your concept of writing and will be stopping by. PEACE THE MACK MAN OUT.
I loved the song very good work. I think the mixing needs some tweaking unless you meant to make it sound like to was being played through a toy amp. That being said you are very talented!!!!
Thankyou for the listen and the comment.I could have made my stereo field a little wider as well as better separation of guitar and keys. When I do smooth jazz I try not to go rediculouse wide because some stations broadcast in mono and the possibility of losing an instrument is great.I know this because it happen to me. I think toy amp is a bit extreme, but so far thas's been your opinion only and i except it. Your tracks are great and i will be stopping by. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.
A little jazz chill, cool !
Really nice balance between the piano and guitar throughout, it flows ever so sweet. I totally dig adding the pad in there, it really smooth's it out.
This really put me in a good mood this morning bro.
Thanks and a big thumbs up.
This is so smooth. Great musicianship and you captured a such a chilled mood in sound. Agree about sharpening the edge on the guitar, without losing the warmth mebbe, but the mix really shines in all areas.
How smooth is this?? Very relaxing and chilled, I have to say that the production sounds fine to me, even on my in- ear phones! Excellent work here my friend!
Thanmkyou for the listen and comment. That comment hepls to remove my suspitions that my expensive head phones were lieing to me. Glad you liked it. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT. Will stop by soon.
Great song, cool melody and arrangement. I agree about the panning ! maybe drop the 200hz a bit in the eq to gain more snap on the drums and stereo widen. Nice soft pad at 2:46 btw.
Steve
Thanks for the listen and the comments.I agree on the 200hz about 2db or so and mabe a boost at 10k and 15k to brighten things up. Didn't use my SPETRALIVE-NXT on this one, slight mistake. Thanks again.
I really like this. the guitar work is so accurate and smooth, and the orchestration and mix is great. I would have given the Guitar just a touch more edge, and moved the piano and guitar apart a little in position, say piano left, guitar right just to give some separation. Anyway that's all subjective.
Great work
Thankyou for the listen and the comments. Normaly I do pan my keys left at about 40% and my AX at about45%. I got hyped about my new upgraded system and went center crazy. LOL. Will stop by soon. Thanks again. PEACE. THE MACK MAN OUT.

Description : Sounds of the sea and trippy acidy washes with a cool beat and some live acoustic guitar. Written in Cubase with live guitar and keys etc. The sound of the sea and birds was recorded on the beach where I used to live. After moving to the city one sunny day I was telling stories to a friend about living by the sea and started making this track.
Description : This improv recorded a few years ago powered my interest even further than I expected.....recorded using tc electronics pedal and tascam studio recorder and a Fender Squier tele electric....
Description : I used some new "Anthem" pickups from L.R. Baggs on my Martin acoustic to see how it performed, and it definitely beat my expectations. Captured the sound perfectly as I needed.
Anyhoo, this song is almost a prayer, hence the repetitiveness of the verses. As Christians, we believe that God will one day return and take away every suffering and all evil for good; in that regard, this song is almost one of waiting too. Very simple, with vocal harmonies and whatnot. Hope you enjoy this as much as I did making it. Made in 13 hours.
Someone else wrote the words, I was just inspired to use them. I only added the "Yeah" and "Amen."
Description : This is a track off of one of my EP's I dropped last year. It is based on True events. Sometimes when people finally take a second in life to slow down and breathe in..... The oxygen is deflated and it's too late. Take your time people, because time is what differs a good decision over a bad one. Life is precious!

Description : So a guy buys a nice guitar at a pawn shop but returns it a few days later after waking from a sound sleep to hear it playing by itself. When he tells of his experience he is shocked to learn the owner had actually died while playing it. Is it fantasy or truth? Is the guitar in this track that very same guitar? Its all part of the mystery and fun of Halloween !
EDIT: modified ending to a deeper voice
Description : This track describes a magical state that I experienced a long time ago. Maybe you also know the feeling that you can't describe something like this with words ... luckily we have the music for it!
Description : So this is my first Chill Outish track. I was just trying something new and then suddenly this was a thing. Everything you hear is home made. I hope you enjoy. - Mr. Spook'd

Description : A progressive journey incorporating deep ambient chillout, swing jazz, hip hop, d'n'b, trance and a slight touch of acid with a thousand ninjas battling in space. Features a great deal of my lead slide resonator guitar playing. Also a whole load of synths, programmed acoustic drum kits and manipulated drum loops, big basslines, regular electric guitar, vocoded guitar parts and bass guitar (distorted right at the end). If you like deep chill, far out soaring beauty, fat beats and 170 BPM uplifting slide trance controlled mayhem, you might just get into this. In my heaven there is an endless supply of honey mangoes (an exquisite beauty of the fruit world) and even more slide guitar. A 1,000-year-long version of this track plays there on a loop (long enough not to get bored of it) but here I offer you the Earthly 11 min version. You must be very good to be accepted into my heaven to hear the full thousand year version so best start now. It may be heaven's main theme tune but it's not above criticism so feel free to let me know what you think of it. Maybe you prefer the soundtrack in hell. I hear it's pretty badass...
