Description : I have been working on this for such a while now. In the process I have learned a LOT about producing.
Things like automation (Yes I do mean even the basic idea of inserting an automation clip in FL), furthering my EQing abilities, using effects I barely comprehend, figuring out how to eliminate muddy mixes, learning that stressing the hell out about JUST mixing is about 75% of the frustration production brings, but its about the same percent for gratification and enjoyment of the track, and a bunch of other tiny things.
In other words...I LOVED the process behind this track :]
However, as you may have guessed...I also feel like Im missing something here. I mean, what I want this track to be is a few things.
A. A DJ can and WOULD play this song at an event, and people would WANT to dance to it.
B. It sounds like a quality track, not pro, but quality.
C. It flows well and is coherent.
These are all things I feel have not been fully attained yet. To be honest, I really don't want to stop working on this until I feel its ready.
So I'm asking for help with it. Specifically from Electronic producers. Is this track good? if not, why?
and I do mean ANY aspect, from the kick to the FX used to the automation...I mean anything.
I would greatly appreciate it and return the favor.
(I also have a farkload of revs to return already! I know this! I apologize :/ )

some really nice ideas brother... not one for me I not usre if it's the genre or what but I think it's mostly because of the lack of bassline ... I know it's supposed be this kinda dance tune but for me it can't be that without a bassline perhaps you think I'm being hyper critical so I will play nice... the the drum track and the synths work really well and would fit well on any dance floor I would have liked a tiny bit more of the kick in the mix but still
Fosho Phyrius. Im starting to really enjoy your bluntness :P
That might sound funny, but I guess its nice in a way to see someone tell me I could do something better. Or even just say "yo to me, I just dont dig it. Dunno why really, but I dont"
Im thinking maybe a pad? Im tempted to email you and ask what yo think could add more to the sub freqs.
I gotta say though, I thought the kick hit almost too hard! lol. but now you got me questioning that haha.
Ahh screw it man ima contact you. I dig this track but if I can better it with something as simple as bass Im all ears.
Thanks for listening fam.
Really love this track. Would defiantly dance to this. Maybe with some vocals from a dj's bank of acapellas haha. Got my head bouncing right away. Yea with each track I produce another headache comes but there's nothing better than seeing an idea come to life.
This is awesome and uplifting! I would definitely dance to it! The mix sounds nice and clear, so it seems like you've been learning a lot with this one! I like the synths that you used too! Awesome ending! Good automation! Faved for sure!
So, I'm in the middle of that same process, with not as much time as I'd like to spend learning and creating. That said, this is an awesome track and you're doing great dude. I really love the synths and there's alot of talent, keep it up! Fave - Nick aka Ghostzyden
Great stuff for a first attempt on the genre... Keep it up, and make more electronic music. I would like to hear more from you in this genre, like Hutch said, you will be dangerous after 5 or 6.
I can appreciate this one man, up until about 6 months ago i never used automation in fl studio... or even the mixer haha. So now that i'm feelin in over my head it's crazy/frustrating learning the possibilities of mixing and mastering..
Anyways about the track, def somethin different from what i've heard from you in the past, but a nice electronic track. Sounds like it could get a crowd movin, intense bass and snare! nice work man
I definitely feel something good going on here my friend. Clear mix and smooth progression. I would possibly fill it out a bit with with an additional synth / pad and a break maybe. I think it would get people up on the floor. Good work my friend.
Struck me like Disk Jockee's work and other Scandawegian's if that was your first you're going to be dangerous after 5 or 6. I'm aspiring to similar things with production and it's like after a while things click, so much to learn. Keep doing what your doing I'd say and if you need a guitar I'm up for a collab. And it grooves great
Thanks a lot Hutch!
Awesome I will DEF keep you in mind man, seriously. I actually make Hip Hop predominantly, maybe we can create some fusion sometime L=
As for producing, there is no doubt that she is quite the fickle mistress haha
but once you start to get a grasp on how she ticks, its nothing but satisfaction :P
Description : Feel free to check out the video on YT as well (Alan McLaren Project - Upside Down) of this 6min journey from electronic to rock with some psychedelic moments...
This is my latest, but also one of my earliest tracks.... any feedback is more than welcome, thanks :)
Description : 'The main point of this song is really about the frustrations of living in the overload of today's World of Tech. The consequences are impaired communication and that if you advance too far you end up diminishing what you had to start with, so you are way worse off.' Enjoy a 60s Rhythm with a modern deep Bass, a Sitar, a Piano from EvilPianist, a lost flute from UniverseHuston and some Oscillators :-)

Description : A demo of one of my current projects. The chorus vocal sounds like "Aaaaraashe" to me. The song is in C# minor with a nod to C# pythagorean on the chorus. The beat on the verse was inspired by the Peter Gabriel song Intruder.
Description : This is one of my earliest productions that I did at the start of my recording career. I did not have a keyboard at the time I made this song, so I improvised and used my sister's iPad and a 5 dollar GarageBand application instead, and plugged the headset jack into into my PT6 rig and did my best to turn each individual track (which were mono and there were about 25 tracks or so) into a stereo image. Then recorded vocals over it. My computer was so old and slow that I had to mix my music and then BOUNCE it to a new session - four times. My computer (which had 512 MB RAM and an 80 GB hard drive) couldn't handle more than 8 tracks at a time or it'd stop working because the processor couldn't handle it. Took me FOREVER to do. But I got it done. Had a lot of fun doing it too, even if it isn't my "best" work. I'm still happy with it, considering I didn't have many tools to choose from at the time.
Description : Long time lurker first time poster, pretty new to production n stuff, this is my first track in Ableton Live.
was going for a darkwave/synthwave sound, reminiscent of Justice, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, ect.
Looking for some feed back, constructive criticisms or even just your thoughts if you liked it or not. This is just a rough cut on this current WIP, just the bones of it if you will.. If you have some cool title suggestions, would love to hear those too.
Thanks for listening.
