Description : I learned this rumble technique from Captain Pikant on YouTube. Basically all you do is send the tom toms through a filter and reverb and you have a deep rumble - it really shakes the speakers. I simply sent the outputs of the RD-9 drum machine through two different chains; this kick is compressed and the tom is through huge reverb and filtered very low. RD-9 only - no post processing required.Search Rating : 27.40
Description : This experimental loop is comprised of the Edge percussion synth running at a very high tempo, then sidechained to a techno kick. I think it could be an interesting way to make a rumble track - just add reverb and low pass filtering for a kind of rhythmic rumble texture.Search Rating : 13.70

Description : These kick loops are created using a method I learned from Aussie legend Mickey Nox. Basically you just sidechain a sound to a nice kick to create a rumble from almost anything. For these three loops I sidechained and filtered full hardtechno loops (some of my own earlier loops) and the results were pretty massive.Search Rating : 13.70

Description : This texture was made with a new plugin called Manifold which cuts and loops sounds into textures. This was a lo-fi loop I recorded with a sitar and a beat - Manifold has transformed it into a cityscape texture. Nice for background layers in techno or even filtered into a rumble.Search Rating : 13.70
Description : Always experimenting with ways to get more out of the RD-9 drum machine. This time I fed the raw audio from the hardware into an FX chain in Reason and sidechained it. The result is a thick rumble but retaining really pronounced transients. Pretty cool and quite different to Ableton.Search Rating : 13.70
Description : Another RD-9 Loop. This analog 909 kick was made with an RD-9, two channels on the mixer, and lots of reverb, overdrive and filtering for the rumble.Search Rating : 13.70
Description : Just more drum machine action. This is mostly the SP-606 with some added claps action from the MC-505. The rumble is from the RD-9 wave designer through a lot of reverb and filter.Search Rating : 13.70

Description : Still experimenting with the Edge today. Man this thing can make industrial noise to scare your grandma with. No wonder they call it the NIN machine haha... Just add a huge rumble kick for raw industrial techno. And a DJ filter of course!Search Rating : 13.70
Description : This was made using granular synthesis and some vox samples. Running through a filter bank and cycling the grains I created a spacy texture that can be used on its own as a noisebed, or you can sidechain it to your kick to get a nice rumble FX.Search Rating : 13.70
Description : First build-up drum loop of the day, starting with a steady, rhythmic foundation of tightly programmed snares that accelerate over time, gradually builds in complexity as layers of crisp claps, subtle hi-hats, and deep, resonant toms are added. A faint rumble of low-end kicks begins to emerge, synchronized with a background riser that grows in intensity, adding a sense of anticipation.Search Rating : 13.70

Description : I recently got an RD-9 and it is excellent, mostly because you can redline it to make it sound bigger and more badass without harsh artifacts. I am making a series of kickers with this machine running through an analog mixer pushed to the max. This one has added rumble from my SP-606 sampler. Enjoy.Search Rating : 13.70
