Description : Not so long ago my daughter came from school and told me that they had a litterature lesson in where they had to do an analysis of a short story. The short story happened to be one of my favourite writer's, Ray Bradbury's, story 'One Timeless Spring'. I began to search my bookcase to find Bradbury's books and this particular short story. Until I found it I started to read once again Bradbury's short stories and one of them was ' Perhaps We are going away'. I quote a few sentences from it: “The birds, his hands cried suddenly, are flying south! Summer is over! No, the boy's hands said, summer has just begun! I see no birds! They are so high, said the Old Man's fingers, that only blind can feel their passage.â€Â

Description : In winter there is a certain moment between daylight and twilight which is called sininen hetki or blue moment in english. That's why this piece is called blue delos. Delos doesn't mean anything. Though I think i somehow subconsciously derived it from delay. I used only Koan pro's soft synth with my midi keyboard (actually Kawai synth connected to the midiport of my computer).

Description : Another song of winter. The piece consists five patterns of different lengths (varying from 13 to 18 bars.) Most of the patterns consist only a few sounds and and most of the time the particular pattern is silent and time to time all the patterns are silent at same time. Accidental dog barks and howlings are there to emphasize the desolate feeling.

Description : Decades ago during my military service my comrade and I was paddling in a kayak towards an island far away. It was dusk, nearly dark, and weather wasn't so warm but there was no breeze so that moist fog kept gathering all over us. Suddenly from the fog appeared a great passenger ship heading towards Stockholm. They didn't notice us though the ship passed by quite near. I imagined that onboard there were couples in tuxedos and dressing gowns dancing and a band was playing nice music (standard jazz chord progression II-V-I) not knowing that there were two poor bastards on theopen, cold and foggy sea. Probably the reality was quite different. There were no nice music , not to speak about nice and stylish couples with tuxedos and dressing gowns, but drunken ordinary people with their saggy pants and other tasteless garments dancing according to a monotonous beat that some unnamed band was producing..."Hey, wake up, dude, away from this ship route now!

Description : The song consists eight different patterns, lengths varying from 12 to 16 bars. Most of the particular pattern is rest, which varies from 5 bars to 15 bars. In the beginning of the song each pattern starts simultaneously, but because the patterns have different lengths, they are stopped and played again at different times. The piece itself is rather long to allow the piece evolve and create different combinations and harmonies.

Description : Kraken is one of the sea monsters of gargantual size appearing in ancient scandinavian mythology. Kraken is the definite article form of krake, a Scandinavian word designating an unhealthy animal, or something twisted. So when you look at the surface of the sea it seems to be calm but there might be something undiscribable waiting in the deep.

Description : In the Old Testament apocryphal Book of Enoch 8:1-3, Azazel is the fallen angel who taught people to make weapons and jewelry
In the end of Mikhail Bulgakov's novel "Master & Margarita" some of the main characters transform so that they turned out to be something else. Behemoth turns out not to be a cat but a lean youth and so on. But Azazello don't transform. He still was the demon of the waterless desert and the killer demon.

Description : Veden todellisuus is finnish and rather exact translation would be the â€Âreality of waterâ€Â. Imagine a late afternoon at the beach in the end of a summer. Suddenly you realize, that you will not come back anymore in this summer. If temperature were measured, there would not be a noticeable change, but something in the air and especially in the water tells that the autumn is coming.
