Description : Few weeks ago I found an old box full of notebooks of lyrics that my dad had written in the 70s and 80s. We played in a few bands together over the years, but never had the chance to write together before he passed a few years ago.
I wrote this song using some of his lyrics and some of my own. Think it turned out into a really cool, special song.

Description : Hey folks. Lost my dad last month to a long fight with cancer. It's been absolutely f------ sh-- to be honest. This is the first song that's come to me since he's been gone. For weeks all anyone's wanted to talk about was his death, and all I wanted to do was change the subject for just like one day. So, there came in this song. Going to keep working on it, redo some vocals, mix it better, but really liking it.

Description : I have to thank the Looperman community. In winter of 2013 I was sitting in my house at 4am crying because after pretending it wasn't true for so long it finally hit me that one of the closest relationships I had ever had was over. Miserable, I came on this site looking for some musical inspiration to put my feelings into music and came across a piano loop that hit the spot. 10 minutes later, I had this song. After sitting on it for almost two years, last year I had the chance to make it a reality for my new EP (out now!) and I'm so ridiculously proud of it. Took a few dozen tries in the studio to get it done because I couldn't keep my composure, but it was definitely worth it. A lot of my songs originate from loops I find here, so I have to thank you all for being so creative and wonderful and constantly inspiring me. You're all pretty great.

Description : Kinda bored today so decided to spend a few hours remixing my own song. Didn't really spend any time mixing or editing the vocals, just sped 'em up a minute. Description : Another one of the new stripped back takes I did with songs from my last EP. This song I think I definitely like this stripped version more than the original. It was the last song I wrote for the project, and it was a cathartic moment for me, realizing that even though I'm not there yet, one day things will be better and looking back won't be so painful anymore.

ORIGINAL: My dad got very ill about a year and a half ago, and one night with him in the hospital I wrote this song about all the lessons he taught me. A drummer, I was luckily enough to actually get him to play on this song with me when we recorded it last year for my new EP.
