The themes were loosely cultivated but this piece is mostly an improvisation (with some cleanup) - all the music is played straight from my hands into the sequencer with no overdubs - this track demonstrates my love for ancient and passionate orchestral music.

Description : My remix entry for an Acid Planet contest (and I am proud to say that my track won the contest). The original had a very Depeche Mode sound. I decided to create a mix that reflects my passion for storytelling - sit back and allow this track to take you on a little sonic journey like the glory days of 70s rock-opera & prog-rock.
I replaced all the music with my own (no loops) - I kept the harmonic chord structure and chose to enhance the song's dramatic impact by changing the instrumentation. As I experimented with acoustic piano, I began to hear a "Rock Opera" like vibe and drama to the mix - I added my own electric guitar to the track and built the energy to a satisfying climax at the end - ENJOY!

This track represents what I would LOVE to create with the right music partner - a female vocalist with an emotional edge. Peter Gabriel is a huge inspiration for me and this was an exciting process to create an updated vision for this song. Description : A remix entry for an AcidPlanet contest. The original had a very CHILL sound to it with acoustic guitar, but the prostitution context of the lyrics inspired me to take a more dramatic "creepy" angle, so I re-visioned all the music (using loops) and kept only the vocal track. There's something subversive in the text - and I wanted to explore that musically with some haunted orchestral layering and added vocal "textures" - best heard with headphones. Enjoy.
