Description : This is just a nice chill track with a flute sample that I got from Sampleswap. It had some piano, a couple of my acoustic guitar riff running through. I wanna put some more acoustic guitar on, something more elaborate and fleshed out, but I'll have to wait on that. It has some nice percussion stuff and some cool ambient synths. Thinking of having Asli sing to this one as well, maybe put it on her CD.

Description : I thought I'd keep it safe and just put this one in the Chillout section. It's loungey, jazzy, ambient-like, with a cool jazz piano sample that I chopped a little, along with a guitar sample (not me, this time). Did it on FL demo (yeah, in transferring stuff from my old PC to my new laptop, I couldn't figure out how to transfer my FL XXL program...grrrr). Anyhoo...enjoy...

Description : This is a jungle track, sort of an ambient track as well. It features a few royalty free vocal samples, and also a vocal sample from Looperman's DJ Aerith. It's kind of dark and spacey, has some percussion and some pretty cool sound effects.

Description : This is a reconception of another version of Venus. In other words, I re-did it. I like this one better. Since Venus is named after the Goddess of beauty, I tried to keep this one more peaceful and relaxing and chill. It has its ambient vibe as well, with some space pads, some flute samples, acoustic guitar. The tempo shifts, starts out kinda fast, then cuts to half-tempo about midway through.

Description : This track is Earth, sort of the progression of life. It starts out with some cool cave sounds, a very dark flute pad, some World Music samples that I got from FreeLoops--a Japanese woman singing, some Egyptian strings, some Moroccan singers. The tracks builds, so be patient. It has a long intro, but it's worth the wait. It comes in with some African chants, claps, sipsis, some Nigerian stringed instrument that I don't know what it's called, lots of big tribal drums. Then it evolves into a modern day Turkish market scene. It's quite epic, really.

Description : This is a new one that has me on electric guitar, a big band sample that I got from SampleSwap.com a while back, has some horn hits and a nice 6/8 jazz drum loop. Makes me think of being in one of those smokey bars in like 1974, with the red pleather booths and a secret room in the back where Vinnie 'Thumbs' and the Bartelli boys...ya know...play a little cards and whatnot...but mostly whatnot, heh.

Description : This is an interlude for Nesrin's upcoming CD for which we have no title, no release date, and no cover art lol. But we have four completed songs! This one I made last night just messing around with some of her vocal samples (a few of which some of the LooperVets might recognize). It's short, but it came out pretty tight, so we're keeping it. Oh, and that strangely cool-sounding synthy wah-wah effect thing? That's a vocal sample, too, but I ran it through a vocoder filter effects thing. Triiippppyyy...

Description : This is Mars, the God of war. It is a very testosterone-driven track. I almost put it in the Metal category, but there's other elements to it as well, so Fusion it was. It has some cool pads, a crescendoing orchestrated pad that I got from Looperman's Psycotropic Circle, a violin sample, some very very hardcore drums, an electric guitar loop, some electric guitar riffs played by me. I recommend you listen to this at full volume. It'll blow your hair back. Good ol' Mars.

Description : This is the next track in the new Planets series, using the NASA recordings. Like the others, this one has recordings of Earth taken from the Voyager space probe. I called it 'The Lonely Planet' because (so far) it's the only one that has so much activity and life. And it's a noisey place, even from outer space. Lots of whirs and swooshes and moans and beeps. If you listen closely in the beginning, you can hear what sounds like three ticks, like someone hitting a wood block. That is not a man-made sound. It's something in our sonic frequency. Anyhoo. Me on acoustic guitar, also some strings. There's a video for it on YouTube, too. Just search "Cyryus" or the song title.

Description : This is an ambient track with a little Trip-Hop twist. I sampled Saturn...yes, actual Saturn, the planet (NASA recordings)...for the underlying pad, then threw in a cool and appropriate drum loop, percussion/tabla loop, some strings, a duduk solo, some strings, and a little timpani. I didn't tweak the Saturn sound, btw. I left it as it was, so it's the raw, undoctored NASA recording that came from the planet itself. And so there you have it.

Description : This is the 5th track in The Planets collection, Jupiter. It reflects Jupiter's unimaginable massiveness with lots of low brooding orchestration and pads. Then it has kind of a breakbeat drum loop in it and some dramatic orchestra hits. Lots of lightening sounds to reflect the electrical storms on both Jupiter and its moons.

Description : This is a mellow, chill, jazz-type track, along the lines of a Jill Scott kinda vibe. It may soon have some vocals by Nesrin on it as well. It has some timpani accents, some Rhodes keys, a bassline played by me, and a brief guitar solo played by me as well. I called it Diaspora b/c I really just liked the word. Hopefully I got all the levels right, and I hope you guys can vibe off it! Enjoy...

Description : This one has a guitar loop, played by me but was inspired by Looperman's Bemused Stranger. The track came from the last part of a Halloween track I did on here, the outro music that I put with it. People liked it, so I made a whole beat out of it, played some guitar and hooked up a drum track for it. It's kind of pensive and dark. Enjoy...

Description : This track uses Neptune for the main pad....yes, the planet Neptune, just like the Saturn II track. If you listen closely in the beginning you'll hear actual notes that are being picked up in the planet's frequency. Sounds like G#, C#, and D#. Well, I just went off those and did the track in 'the key of Neptune', if you will :) And the sub bass is actually the Sun. Yeah, the Sun. Our sun, the one in the sky. It makes a very low frequancy pulsing sound from all those incandescent nuclear reactions in its core. It's actually too low for human ears to hear, but machines can pick it up, and so the folks at NASA just raised the pitch about a hundred times until it became audible. It sounded like sub bass to me, so I used it as the bassline. Neptune and the Sun doing a duet, so to speak. The rest is just cold icy piano riffs, one of which I got from Looperman called "Slow Movement", but I don't know the member, it doesn't say in my download library. If it's you, or you know who it is, do speak up!

Description : This is the 6th track in The Planets collection, Saturn. It has some pretty cool piano riffs going through it, some nice dark ambient spacey pads, some cello contributed by Looperman's Alividlife, etc. We will be revamping this track with an electric guitar solo and Nesrin's vocals later on.

Description : This one uses sounds from Jupiter as the main pad. It's a bit eerie but beautiful just the same, I think. There's also a video for it on YouTube--just type in "Cyryus" or the song title into the search, and it'll come up. I threw in some percussion and took it to a tribal, hypnotic, club sort of level. I also added the vocals of Katy Theodossiou of Digifish Music Productions. She sounded cool and was in a similar, compatable key to the noises of Jupiter. Yes, the title is from 2001 A Space Odyssey. It only seemed fitting. This is actually a re-upload. I changed some things. The mix was sucky, and I didn't like the percussion in the main loop, changed that. Now it's right.

Description : This one is a little faster tempo then I usually do, but it's still a chill track with an old skool vibe to it. Hence, the record noise sample running through...it just seemed appropriate. There's a pretty cool bassline that I played, an acoustic strumming riff, and also my usual guitar solo toward the end. Again, this will eventually have Nesrin's vocals on it. Enjoy...

Description : This is just a nice mid-tempo groove that will feature the vocals of Nesrin Orcen (Asli). It has some strings, a flute, some laid-back brass, and a violin solo sample that I got from the Free Sound Project. He goes by "FreqMan" on the site, and I'm waiting to hear back from him as to his real name, for proper crediting. I like the violin because it's unexpected and it's sorta not exactly on beat....but yet it is...??? At any rate, it's gonna be cool when we get the vocals on it.

Description : The piano in this belongs to and was played by Looperman's Pedro Casillas. I wasn't able to locate him to let him know what I did with it, but hopefully he'll get word and come have a listen. I was digging thru some Looperman tracks that I saved and came across this awesome solo piano piece by Pedro (which had no title in my files), and I just couldn't resist. I picked up my guitar and had to put something down. Then I added some rain and nature sounds to give it some atmosphere, and here it is. Thinking about having Asli sing on it later, as she has no ballads yet. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Pedro, please do, and tell him to come listen :)

Description : I think I got the levels right on this now. This one features the vocals of Asli Orcen, many of her acapellas can be found in my acapella section. Lyrics written by Asli, vocal melody by Asli. It has a nice 70's kind of vibe, Neo-Soul flavor. Features me on acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass. Did it on FL XXL, used WavePad to sample to vocals.

Description : This is a track that I just did for a friend who's making a movie (a comedy). She asked me to do all the music for it...yay!! And this one is to a scene where this woman is trying to seduce her husband who has refused to have sex with her, so she gives him a lap dance, hoping it might change his mind. It starts out kinda spacey and ambient with some vocal samples I got from my FL program. Then it kicks in with a nice Miami bass booty beat ans some 808 bass and snares, claps, basically old skool. Can't put it up for download, tho, as it is for an outside project. Sorry! Enjoy, anyway, tho :)

Description : This was up here before, but since I used another RealStrings loop (can you tell I'm a big fan???), I thought I'd upload it again. I wish I'd would have turned the strings up a bit in this, but I don't have the track in my FL projects, anymore, so I can't tweak it...grrrr. This has me on acoustic guitar, RealStrings orchestrated loop, some claps and some piano, I think. Hope you like it :)

Description : I saw that phrase in a book I'm reading and thought it made a nice song title. Anyway, this...again...features a string loop from RealStrings. I highly recommend his loops if you're looking for...well...real-sounding strings, as opposed to those buzzy electronic ones like on my crappy Casio lol. This track is in 6/8, has a nice feel-good vibe to it, 'daytime music' as I call it. It has me on acoustic guitar, me on bass, some jazz-type drums, and so forth. Enjoy...
