Dreamy track. Liked the mix of different voices contrasting between them. Nice job. Stefano

Thank you Stefano for some nice words. I used the 'french rap' here as well but I kept intentionally ignoring the proper timing. I do not think any artificial processing was really needed here. I agree this song is something like a happy 'mix of different voices' (which is a very accurate description of it haha).
Thanks again for your time and nice comment. Best to you, Alex

on No Sleep Tonight FT BunnieRabbit by brillbilly
A very nice rendering of Bonnie's beautiful vocals, the harmonies changing slowly so to create different atmospheres from beginning to the end...

I myself made a version for this acapella https://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/143753 and it's interesting to observe how interpretations can be different depending upon the subjective view and the different mood of the moment.

Great job you've done!

on NO ACE by janis71
Bonsoir Carole,

when you listen to a song and you realize that it is difficult to classify it in a genre, it means that the work is original!

So, there are some pop flavours, some blues, but there is much more!

I loved the different uses of your voice, which is very versatile, and the guitar playing is magnificent!

Lovely song, I fav'd it!

Thank you for sharing!

Stefano

PS I listened to your songs on Dailymotion, Melange is great, wow, you are a five stars musician!

Bonjour Stefano,
D'you speak French ?
As I told Joe, the music and production are the most valuable parts in this song .
I'm happy you enjoyed this .

Aw ... no, the mix on "Mélange" is awful, and I mean it .
And I really don't think I'm a musician, without playing it humble .
I just fancy and sing things as they pass me through .

Thank you for your very gentle words, Stefano ;)

For me it's complete as is; it does not need any singing or rapping.

And what a wonderful idea that shouting.

Great track!

MrShores replied 30th Jun 2013 - 12 years ago
Thanks, I appreciate it. And yea, the shouting was originally a lady screaming "DJ!" but I cut out the first syllable and put an echo on the "Ay" part of Jay. I didn't think anyone would notice it. I'm glad it stood out. Thanks.

Nice song!
I like those percussions not usual at all (not for a "normal" pop song), and the chorus arranged in that way.

Your voice is beautiful, unfortunately couldn't understand well all the words because my english knowledge is limited.

Good job!

I like this song. Your voice is beautiful and very harmonic and I think that even with a simple (but nice) arrangement like this the track is perfect.
I made also a simple arrangement in my version of 'No sleep tonight'. Did you listen to it? What do you think about?

Sometimes you just need to strip a song of all the bedazzle to give the emotion intended :) I think this is my personal favourite track.

Sorry for the late comment, but as you already know yes I have listened to your wonderful rendition of "No Sleep Tonight" :)

Peace!
