Time: Some have very little left, some have way to much, what is
done with it only matters, to a few because they think they control
it, like they think they can control you...And anyone that is looking
for more of what, most don't know they've only seen someone with
it and now they want it....But in time we all come to the conclusion
that all the stuff we have accumulated in our space of time, will only
be left behind ones we get to our end of time...Because time is way
more than us all in it's infinite eternity...
You can't take it with you when you go.
Funny thing about growing older is a point comes where the future is shorter than the past.
My past now seems to stretch off to a distant horizon while my future to a much closer one.
The time to come is much less than the time already had.
Young people see forever in front of them old people see forever has gone.
My concept of time has become very different.
I'm also very comfortable with the fact I have about fifteen years left tops.
Really really nice, over all feel is top shelf and the map you've laid
out here, can go many places on the shelf...
Nice Fusion with a side order of flavour... :)
drums are EZdrummer jazz performances, all the rest was played on Roland Juno Di. There's no virtual synths needed anymore (only some plugins for effects) so I can create much longer tracks now and work easier without any high CPU usage problems.
This one is quite simple played but with lot of sound-itself manipulations (mainly cutoff/reso).
Thanks again for checking this one out and some nice comments. As always it is much appreciated.
Alex
This is very nice, a real play on harmonics very tastefully done
I might add...
Not a lot of space to fit much in there, but lots of space if you
know how to dance with harmonies in tune octave wise, or using
triads timing would be the key element, in those adds...
thanks for sharing your thoughts and again sorry for the late reply.
there was and is still a lot going on and i am trying to fix some bad decisions i made when i initially arranged some of the parts. getting there but it's a slow process.
cheers!
it is a lot detuned notes and it does grate subtly. I know exactly what you mean. but I suspect this is going to be the basic sound in this "genre" I am trying to develop which relates colors to specific tones. maybe I should put a disclaimer "madness likely" when i write these.
Cool grooves not over done, a spit track wooould help ones you
get that, then it will be easy to place adds...
A guitar or bass would work in this case, but it's got to have taste...
Sorry, I'm pretty new to the production game, what is a spit track? and Adds?
Thanks for listening and thanks a bunch for giving feedback, I really appreciate it!
Very nice track, brings back my days of playing with Cleo Lane
and a few other ladies that liked to Samba...
Back then I was playing Congas, Bongos and about 8 different
kinds African Drums...
Them were the days of fun, travel with lots of Honeys and Money...
Has a good feel, very real...The production thing is a pain, you trying
sell something??? or are you trying make a song...!!!
Not sure at this point...
Anyway...It has a good sound... ~!~ What are you going to do with it...?
Appreciate your comment. The "C-Dub Productions" is my Watermark/Tag. Some of my work has been stolen in the past and I don't want to go through the process of suing someone again. Using my watermark/tag helps prevent that.
This is more Abstract then Fusion, like a painting where dabs of pain
are thrown all over the canvas, creating a colour scheme of different
patterns...
Music is the same, you are playing a lot of scales over top of a watery
sound scape, not unlike throwing notes all over the harmonic Canvas
it has it's merits, in the harmonic scheme of things...
But over all it's intent "Abstract" is just that, mostly outside the main stream only because they tend play the same scales over and over again this is when, most change the Song or the Radio Station... :)
Yes, this fusion label is quite confusing here. Basically the 'fusion' term would be much proper whith more stylistic elements of rock or funk, also jazz. So I changed it for chillout in here.
Thanks for the interesting scale comment - basically it is A minor pentatonic but coloured with elements of aeolian and phrygian. There's also a blues scale and some of the passages were simply played outside. I can't say that I am playing any real melodies here - I would rather label these as 'ornaments' haha. Yes, many of them are abstract-sounding. Roland Juno Di has very light keys, it is even too easy to play. So it seemed quite natural to play like this but still I will need to work more on proper pitch bending technique.
Just an experimental track of mine but really glad you liked it. Thanks again for your nice comment!
Woooow...Man I really like this, wish I could get this track with out
the voices on there...
Cause I know somebody, that would love to spit something on this
and he's deep in the game...
I'm going to grab this as is, somehow I hope we can hook up do it
right...
By the way you know I'm going to dance with this, I'll fill you in
before I do anything... :)
Cool track nice bounce once it gets going, the keyboard takes
the place of a guitar but it works...
Could use a touch more top end on it, but it works...
It has a great feel, very tastefully done, hard to mix other cultural
sounds and have them make sense...And you've done that here...
Outstanding piece of work...
Back in the day, this was the way you got that down for sure...
Great feel very real real nice mix of it all, done with flavour
the whole track...
Well done...
Real nice start, keys are in a real good space and sound on the mark...
Voice I know it's not the final!!.. So my view, if I may... :)
You have a really good voice, I'd give it more control of the front
line, with just a little less reverb just a touch...
The trick is the music helps you, not your voice helps the music...
If you get my drift...
With a little chopping block work, creating a story line with the music
and an add here and there...
It could knock this out of the park... Well done...
