Gracias amigo crucethus, la verdad son sintetizadores con algo de modulación, pero me alegro que te haya gustado. Es mi primer tema rock por decirlo de alguna manera. Que tengas un buen día. Paz y salud.
An awesome creative melding of these 2 genres. especially impressed with the engineering. spatial depth was very tasteful when it needed to be. That riddim g-tar was awesome reminded me of Sly and Robbie mixes, great work, Favd
Disappointed; hell no. the BOD guitar licks remind me slightly of the 2min Solo Robert Fripp does on baby's on fire, but a bit lighter. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nItuhuY1U04
I did not expect a reciprocal track, so imagine my delight after listening to this. Very nice. it´s a great addition to my 15th wedding anniversary celebration with my Wife today. I appreciate your music and your esoteric take on sounds whether it is rock, jazz or psychedelic you bring colour to this site.
Don´t stop mate. And I will disappoint u some day ;-)
Steven
First off I'd like to wish you a Happy 15th anniversary!
Hey man I really appreciate your kind comments. When I first got on LM you, Bilbozo, ClickbaitCaberet, Mr. Joe Funktastic, VirginiaSlimm, Djam, Micky aka Dr.Klinger and many others had the bar set so high, I figured it would be years before I could make the quality of music you guys were producing. I think I'll get there in a couple more years, your encouraging comments let me know that I am making progress.
I don't know how I missed Brian Eno, I was really into that type of music back then (still am) thanks for sharing that.
Well Cru, it would appear that I got to disappoint you first. That solo you thought was BOD was actually me on my "Space Synth" BAM! I know you are probably pretty disappointed right now so I'll TTYL.
Stunning intro. Leon this is such a beautiful piece of work. 3:08 kicks in some power, but you pull it back. nice use of power and restraint, adds emotional value. Well done, you are one of the best composers on this site and I enjoy listening to your Work.
Ciao
Steven
Hey Steve my friend...always a pleasure to hear from you ! AS you probably noticed I'm not much around here lately, but I'm still kicking..:) Thank you so much for this generous feedback...means alot !
I love how that bass brings us onboard, and then it a nice jumble of ambient. That sax is pleasant as well mate. Brings me a little Roxy Music ambient Joy. ie.. India from Avalon. good work!!
Welcome back, that's a sinister open. (° ͜ʖ°). I like this one, it reminds me of 1998 sort of a Pul Oakenfold meets Paul Van Dyk with a touch of Tiesto sprinkled in.
First sorry for the super late reply, I was "out of business" for a longer time. WOW, Paul Oakenfold, Paul Van Dyk and Tiesto are super legends, I love them too!
Nice Intro. Cool trance house sound. I think this would be a blockbuster if you could widen the mix a bit. hear on looperman there are a few free 3d expander VST´s available. dear reality is one of them as is Management. I think space is what's needed in this brilliant tune my friend.
Stay safe
Steven
Esa es mi realidad, soy un ignorante en el mundo de la masterización, y no me importa reconocerlo porque es así. Me gustaría que me dieras algunos consejos para hacerlo un poco mejor. Gracias amigo crucethus, pienso igual que tú. Necesito mejorar. Que tengas un buen día compañero. Salud y paz para todos.
So to Disagree with Wahoco, yes this is very much Acid house music. Acid house spawned psy-trance and trance genres, but this ticks all the boxes for authentic Acid-house and is missing some of the elements that would make it Psy-trance. Although both genres have a lot of similarities. I did enjoy this one as Acid-house is one of my specialties. Good work my friend, stay safe and healthy!
Pseudoble nailed it. Zappesque indeed. I Felt Transported to the seventies with this one, and that's an alright place to be. nice ¨Live" touches. I have tried that before, a long time ago. Otherwise stellar work as usual my friend. I always look forward to listening to you and Mickey´s brew. This one was tasty.
I really enjoy making tracks with Micky.
Now that I know he can sing, it should open up
a whole new dynamic to our writing. I had actually
written this track with sample vocals at first but when
I found out that Micky did singing and lyrics I just gave
him the track and he added the Magic.
As always thank you for your listen and encouraging comments.
PEACE...
Wow as out there as this is, you can hear the underlying threads that keep this together. But just a wow my friend. 5:48 that sustained note fading was my fav part as it leads into something unique and well dynamically mastered. A Masterpiece of psychedelic sounds. 7:17 made me feel like I just woke up in an Onsen. And that chiptune ending was just taking the piss on all our minds ehh! brilliant!
thank you, Steven! it begs a lot of indulgence, and i’m really grateful for the listen. i wanted to experiment with longer sound sources and spent a lot of very pleasurable time ‘curating’ these sounds. my spirit guides on this were that bastard out of scotland who i’m mad at for being a genius and john oswald’s mix of the dead playing darkstar (talk about indulgence).
cheers, man!
cool tune. I just enjoyed listening to it as opposed to trying to dissect it. That says something. (NY Accent needed here) Yoose guys deed good here. ;-)
Nice words coming from someone like you who's got such a tight sound on all of your tracks. I definitely need to work on my mastering skills, my sound is never how I want it. Thanks again!
Cool intro: That bass at :25 hooked me. Then all hell broke loose at :56 2:17 was an interesting familiar Pad. 3:02 has a cool slightly overdriven clavichord-like sound that I love. Beautiful dissonance at 3:40, those are some massive chords from the jazz world. Bonezonmarz (no offense) may not understand what you guys did there (hence his comment). There is nothing wrong with your bass!!
Awesome work guys loved it
Steven
thank you so much for listening and your review, that's always much appreciated!
and, ahem ... 3:02 is my funk guitar through auto wah ... played live.
Ahh I love Halloween songs, we have a tradition here on looperman of doing them and posting them, so please make sure you re-post this in October. This reminds me slightly of priest (not judas, but the remenants of the original backing band of Ghost). I will post a reference. This is awesome. great mix, awesome composition. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcDDkWoU4Ck
Wow, Awesome song, awesome sounds. very impressed with this track. great job. good contrast between the filtered low fi and the expressive full range sounds.
Awesome, It fits the end of my evening so well. The bassline drives this along with a hypnotizing groove. All the accouterments fit nicely but just cradle that groove. Good work.
