I like how the beat changes as you're singing. The first time it stood out to me was at :28. When I was 75% through listening to the track I decided that the lyrics are strong and heartfelt. You had a lot to say, and you got quite a bit out. I like that it doesn't sound like commercial popular hip hop. I'm a fan of people who don't follow the template. It does have an old school feel to it. I enjoyed it.
thank you for the comment. me and my homeboy(Boo), have been trying new things and thing he said it definitely doesn't sound like anything out there. thanks again for listening.
first i wrote this track for the bass guitar and then i wanted to simulate a kind of battle! as i really like saxo (or brass instruments) i decided to make something like a question / answer match lol
Ableton always has great sounds, and comes out as a quality mix. You did a good job with creating a mood here. I like how the listener can sit back and get lost thinking of different things.
Hi Royalnation. Great comment thank you, that's exactly what I was hoping for, a chill out track you can close the eyes too and tap your foot. Glad you liked it.
I really like how the bass drum resonated on some hits and then tight on the other hits. The beat really spoke to me. The melodies are memorable and catchy. The sound is nice and clear. Good job!
You did a good job with making the mix sound clear. It's very loud, but clear. You had fun with jamming to the track. The drum sound is great, it made me look up toontrack to see what it was. I need to get that. Nice jam!
Thanks, Im glad you found the change refreshing. I only used two samples in the track and the one from the beginning was a voice on the radio I downloaded form this site.
This is great! Good job with fearless music making. It's nice to hear something different. I hear Skinny Puppy here, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, and all that. You have a great style. Keep it up.
Your comment is well taken, and I'm sorry for the late reply! I dig the bands that you mention, so it makes me happy! This song is still a personal favorite of mine, and it helps to get a positive comment on it. Thanks!
The song stuck in my head after I played it. Some of the sounds seemed too loud in the mix. I mean, imagine being on a dance floor right in front of the speakers at full blast, and you might get your ears blown out. And that is coming from someone who likes it loud already! I even come from a metal background. Certain sounds cut through like a knife. That melody is stuck in my head. Good job!
Like you said, rough mix, but all is good. Maybe too much reverb on the voc for later precision. The phrasing and lyrics sound good. The chorus is a little confusing as to what is being said, but it's very catchy in a way. The chord progression weaved into the beat stuck in my head. Good start. Some of the rhymes and inflection are very good.
The track is good. The effect you are using when it sounds like the volume is going down and then back up is kind of off. Sounds like you wanted to do a oscillation or something, but it just sounds like the volume being turned down and then back up. I liked the bass part.
The beat is good. There's some lo fi crackle in the very noticeable at the beginning, not sure if you intended that, if so, then go with it. I like the melody but it repeats in a way that it never seems to resolve. The hi hats are cool. Good job.
Hey I really like this! Don't be so hard on yourself, this came out good. Cool chord progression, and the vocal is cool. You don't need a lot of nice equipment to make good music, just artistry. You are showing it.
Do you have the movie available for us to see? I am a film and video student at Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas. The music here is very good. The pulse of the bass adds a great feel to it. The melody of the synth sound is very gripping. Good job.
Hello mate,
Thanks for the feedback.
I have asked the producer about the move if I could upload. He said that after he had his marks he will upload it and give the link which I will forward to you.
I like this. I come from a long background of metal. I was lead singer and guitarist in a metal band for many years. So I'm critiquing from that point of view. Your vocals are strong. The melody parts are cool. The screaming parts are too. From a guitar standpoint, the guitars are medium quality. The recording overall is good! It's hard to record metal and make it sound good. I've listened to a little of your solo stuff, and it's cool that you are branching out into other vocal styles. I finally did that a few years ago, and I'm glad I did, because the metal vocal is very constraining, especially in getting a message across because of the fact that more than half of what we scream can't be understood without reading the lyrics. Good job here.
The beat is good. I liked the melody in there until it lasted the whole song. It's so overpowering that it distracts from everything else. Good clear sound.
I really enjoyed that. For the record, anything that has a vocal which is in tune and on pitch is easy to listen to. I didn't catch all the lyrics, or the message in general. But the singing was a breath of fresh air. A lot of vocals on here lately have been hard to listen to. But not here. Good job with that.

Thanks for listening and your kind words.
I do like to mix things up, as the hope is one piece can balance out the other.
Thanks again for your comment.
