Very nice track you made here. Hopefully someone on LM wants to give some nice vocals to it. The sound really deserves it.

Im not very familiar to the genre but with this track you made curious what more there is. Very nice track and great build up. You give a greta feeling with all. Some chill vibes with some serious guitar flavour. Very nice and well executed track!

Trip hop can vary a lot. It's basically hiphop mixed with other genres, I just like to do stoner and psych a lot xd.

A lot of psychedelic sounds on LM lately and this one fits perectly to the genre. Love the 8bit sound you introduce in the beginning of the track. Feels like a grasp of sanity in the psychedelic atmosphere which you created with the bassline and the drums. The transition to the 2nd part is original and well found. Nice 90s Vocal mix you used there. In the 2nd part the 8bit transist into the psychedelic realm aswell which makes the sound ewven more depper than it was. In the 3rd part you really get the story going. The high tones give a fresh but still vibey feeling. The spivkurl signature is definetly in here. A nice and fun track to listen to. Well done!

Since psychedelic is a new addition to the genre choices, I'm glad that it is finally catching on! I guess I can't quite say what the "2nd part" is... it was all plateaus of different lengths, specialties and intensities for me. That 8 bit sort of sound you mention, while it may be the grasp of sanity in the beginning, sort of intensifies the time warp aspect later on. The primary vocal clips are actually from the early 90's, so it makes sense that they would give a 90's impression. I've been chewing on that half hour insanity for years now, as it was one of the best moments in television history. I can't help but autograph everything I do, it seems... even a simple conversation with a stranger. I frighten someone from a seated position, with witnesses and a digital recorder in hand. The world is beyond beginning to crack, and that needs to be addressed. Thank you for being the first to leave your comment on this piece... I expect my next one will be a lot different from this, as I don't usually work in the box like this. Thank you!!!

on Navigating The Neversphere by StaticNomad
Very nice piece of music you created here. As usual the mixing is spot on but in this particular track I love the chosen instruments. The way you use the cello is pretty unique for my ears. They give the track a strong backbone. The short jazzy break at 2:50ish is awesome and fits very well. It fits seamlessly to the whole of the track. The drums and especially the change of rythm in it keeps the track interesting eventhough it is 8:42 long. The drums that are coming in at 5:35 are a bit to sudden for my taste but that is probably personal preference. The slowing down to the end is really strong and gives a very dark and mellow touch. Great track and instafav!

Yo.

"the mixing is spot on"

It really has to be with the kind of music I make otherwise it doesn't work properly. I'm not making catchy songs or dancefloor anthems so everything has to be sound good as it's supposed to be music you listen to over and over again.

"I love the chosen instruments"

Good. There aren't very many of them as I've kept it quite minimal and tried to get the cello to do as much as possible. I've been doing that a lot in the last few months.

"The way you use the cello is pretty unique for my ears"

Yes, probably so. I generally use quite a simple combination of effects (mostly delay, reverb, chorus, sometimes distortion) that means that I my cello never really sounds like a traditional cello, as used in classical music. I'd quite like to get that sort of classical vibe as I think it would inspire a different style of music making. But I also like the sounds I get using these effects.

"The short jazzy break at 2:50ish is awesome"

I was thinking of getting rid of that whole section that follows (the one featuring Fender Rhodes) but then decided that I like the drum loops too much to get rid of the section.

"that are coming in at 5:35 are a bit to sudden for my taste"

That's where there's a big, sudden drum fill as the swing jazz drumming returns. I wanted something exciting and explosive but maybe I've got it wrong. I don't mind hearing that.

"The slowing down to the end is really strong and gives a very dark and mellow touch."

Yes - I like that slow, dark vibe. The reason I did it is because this track was made out of another recent one that you liked:

The Mythical Gates

http://www.looperman.com/tracks/detail/177482

So, I still had all those slow, shuffle groove drum parts sitting on my timeline so I decided to reuse them (and change them). I think a slow, dark chillout ending is a good way to close things out and makes it seem like a real journey.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Very nice and solid intro. Love how you start with acapella adn then slowly introduce the drums and synth. Maybe you could turn the beat a notch louder. The vocals are very clear and that is good but the beat doesnt hit enough now. Nevertheless a great track and fav!

Very well produced track you made here. Love how you put in the synths to give that spacelike funky feeling. I definetly agree that vocals would fit perfectly here. There is enough talent here so hope to hear this track again with vocals soon! Good luck!

Thanks Mudhoen. I've already gone and taken some posted suggestions and I'm trying to let things soak in for a bit, The wife and kids are out of town, so it is nice not to feel rushed just to try to start and finish something in an evening. As for talent on here, you're absolutely right. You're part of it. Still go back and listen to Windrunner...it's that no frills, dark but uplifting trance that got me into this stuff years ago. And I'm guessing most, if not all, from scratch.

Very nice remix you made here. The beat and piano fit perfectly to the vocals. The time you took to make this track is astounding. You might give the vocals a little more room though. They fall away from the beat a bit at some parts. But definetly good stuff!

well. thanks for your comment
yea it took me less than a hour thats a simple track, actually I put myself in challanges to make creativity. ehm.
actually that parts are the dubdrop that vocals should fall away cuz FM basses and leads should lead the music and vocals will change their places with other stuffs like pads and etc which are playing low and just making the track busy, noisy and populated which we need in dubdrops, thanks for your feedback btw.

Very nice and epic sound in the first part. Love how the choir part comes in. The drums are very well balanced and support the choir/instruments very well. The bellmelody coming slowly in at 1:50ish sounds good although the instrument you introduce there does not have enough room to shine. Maybe you could change that. The 2nd part starting around 2:30 is nice and coordinated chaos which i like. Lots of things happening but you keep a good balance. The 3rd part is a nice ending to a well composed track. Well done!
Byleth
Byleth replied 1st Jul 2016 - 9 years ago
Thanks dear mudhoen, initially the choirs starts with the "space" synth who you could heard at ends. Im happy to make the good choice to use only the choir.

I do not remember to put bells in my music you may confound with harp :P and originally its intended to have a low profile in the track I even thought to remove it but once done I feel about something missing so I reintegrate the harp.In the mixing part making the harps fitting with the rest was harder that I thought maybe I did something wrong.

I managed to coordinate chaos wow ! Seriously, the guitar part contains 3 different choir parts (bass strings, Piano, Brass)all with random velocity and volume. Im happy about you approve the result.

Like I wrote in the description you may have to consider this track for 3 different track that why there are a lot of things happening.

Thanks for your constructive comment I will check out about the harp if I can give him more room.

Peace from master Byleth

p.s im looking forward for your reply of the comment i posted on your latest track.

Love the typical dancehall beat. Its so energetic and never gets boring. The melody is pretty good as well. The mixing is a bit on the loud side but that can be fixed easily. The only thing i would change is the pad or at least the volume of it. In my opinion it is too loud. But that is your decision... All in all a fun and happy vibe!

Bindanox replied 30th Jun 2016 - 9 years ago
Thanks mudhoen.
I wouldn't say the mix it's loud but i agree that one of the elements you just mentioned shoud be more in the background and not as loud as it seems to be.
Thank you for your constructive comments.
Very much appreciated.

Pretty good track but as other people said already: cut the autotune or just use it a little. I think the vocals can be very nice without it.If you mix the vocals to sound a bit fuller and less autotune you got me hooked.

Not the everyday dubstep but I like that. The synths and vox are pretty sick and combine well with the beat. Maybe a small hook around the 2:30 mark would be a warm addition but for teh rest good stuff!

Very soulful sound. The early pad is so good. The vocal glitches in it really gives it great atmosphere. The electric guitar coming in at 1:50 give it even more flavour. Was interesting for the whole track even if it took almost 9 minutes :p
StaticNomad

Hi.

"Very soulful sound"

Yes - I try to make deep music that might move people emotionally and perhaps even physically. I don't make pop music though perhaps I could if I had to. But would I want to?

"vocal glitches in it really gives it great atmosphere."

That's just cut-up vocal loops with lots of delay. They really add to the atmosphere and kind of merge with the pad sound (which merges with the synth bass).

0:50 is my favourite vocal. That's an 800% timestretched one from another track of mine. In that track it was heard at the original tempo. It sounds better here.

"guitar coming in at 1:50 give it even more flavour."

Yes - I cannot resist playing lots of blues guitar over this type of laidback shuffle groove. It's really easy and you can do heavy or gentle playing. Or fast. Anything, really.

"Was interesting for the whole track even if it took almost 9 minutes"

That's my aim. It's unacceptable to me if any of my sections are boring so I have to keep doing all sort of things, big and small, to maintain listener interest and justify the length. I assure you I could have made this a lot longer and a couple of people have said they wouldn't have minded if I had.

Thanks.

Very heavy dubsteptrack! Really like it! The growls are playing well on the beat and teh short drop is a welcome break. The thing is that it should be mixed a bit better. It is very loud and can be balanced better for all the instruments to be clear. Looking forward to the finished track!

Nice track you made. The beat is fine and the melodies well chosen. The only thing is that it lacks cohesion a little. You have so much different sounds put in but the transition between them are a few times not there. Now it feels mor elike a mix than a track on its own. But a good first try! Practice makes perfect.

Great dubstep. No excessive wobbling but just straight on and raw beats. Nice vocal shots as well. Love the panning synths in it. They make it very vivid. Maybe mixed a bit too loud but that is easy fixable..

Nice chillout reggae sound. Think it is a mix of different genres. Love the guitar playing around the melody although it could be a little less loud. But a fun track to listen to.
traz75
traz75 replied 23rd Jun 2016 - 9 years ago
Thank you!
You have a point... That melody is really a bit louder than optimal, but his balance is not too smooth. With some decreased volume, some notes of the melody is a bit lose into another instruments sometimes, furthermore some background guitar loop's rough cut's clipping (dozens if not hundreds!) will be lot more audible and like that, the track sounds on the whole less enjoyable. So this is a compromised resort after all. :)

Very original approach of Reggae/pop. Your vocals are very loose and that is good combined with all the musical shots you put in. Sometimes the shots are louder than teh music and you might lower them a bit. But definetly a fun song to listen to!

I'm not sure what shots you refer to, but I'll defer to your judgement. I'm surprised to hear the reggae hook up but I've been told it is a 6/8 beat....is that the same thing? Thanks for your listen and critique and what yo liked about the track. vic
