great stuff man, lovely blend. i like your style!
i was in bulgaria last year, it was great. always very nice people! plus palinka and langos, then im happy.
also some very talented liquid funk artists there that i know from earlier :)
Hey Doudie..sorry for my late reply to your great review!.thank you from all the guys it's much appreciated!..all the best in the New Year!..cheers Dave :)
excellent beat, especially digging that bass! strings could maybe use a little more "distance". i mean the sustained ones, the other staccato strings sound great!
i agree, Bunnie is an amazing singer! i am working on a tune with the same acapella so i know exactly what you did here and i am impressed. you created a perfect musical bed for those vocals! and i am not exaggerating when i say love it. much respect!
This is very kind from you, but I must be honest and confess Bunnie had done 80 % of the job...
Patricia said here above that I left room for vocals, but in a certain manner, Bunnie had already left a lot of available harmonic possibilities in the acapella...
This minor/major harmony slip in the chorus was the only part where there were less opportunities. The most difficult part was to create the third vocal harmony by considering this major/minor alternance in Melodyne. The rest of the job was a lot quicker, and as a matter of fact, pretty basic.
Please msg me when you're done with your track, I'd be glad to hear it... :)
haha that is great!
could go directly on pink floyds ummagumma as an extension for "several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a pict"
sounds right!
if i might make a suggestion, mix wise i found some of the high-end a bit harsh and had to turn down the volume a little (using headphones). normally the opposite is the case and i have to turn the volume up a little.
but here i could already tell by looking at the waveform it might be loud :D
also there seems to be some distortion noticeable, the signal probably clipped?
hey dear kenny
really great track that you made here, those pads are to die for. i could listen to these kind of tracks forever and i can 100% relate to those emotions. my personal favourite so far from you i feel.
i would love to start a melancholic ambient/chillout project (for lack of better words) with you sometime if you are up for it! :D
also i am correct presuming this is you singing? really good my friend, fits like a glove with the rest of the track.
so much weltschmerz in this tune. i love it! definitely found a gem here, cheers!
Janis thank you for understanding and i agree. also i apologize for hijacking your comment section to make a point that seemed important for me to make and then even forgetting to say something about your track ;(
i am glad about your reaction and thank you for not thinking it was too rude.
also i wanted to tell you that i appreciate this peaceful piece from the bottom of my heart that you have made for our friend! and you have a very soothing voice. thank you :)
Patricia (and other religious people), please don't take this the wrong way, my intention is not to offend anyone but merely to state my personal opinion:
i think rather the opposite is the case, prayers are some of the things the world needs least.
i know your intentions are good but they do not change the world, ever. what does change the world is taking action and actually actively changing it. all religions mostly do is slow things down and make it worse. sure they provide hope and faith for individuals, nothing wrong with that. but in the big picture religions are dreadful.
i am in all probability not going to be liked for writing all this but felt the urge to do so nevertheless. like i said, no offence meant at all, rather sharing my views on things.
my thoughts are of course also with our dear beloved friend
I understand, respect your views and don't feel offended, Doudei .
We think differently but we share the same thoughts that fly towards our dear friend .
woohooo this is fantastic, man - i love it!
right from the beginning it's very intersting and stays all the way through. awesome jazz feels you created with this. respect my friend, superb job in a very difficult styled music.
