For a first try, this is pretty dang good. My first try at different genres always ends in ear-homicide. He should be proud of this one. It's a great little track. Nice one, lads.
Nice one, Wayne! It's been a while since I heard a song from you. The intro was very fascinating. I loved the experimentation with loops in this track. I don't know why but I got super Halloween vibes from this one, almost a nightmare before Christmas sort of thing. That works perfectly since Halloween is right around the corner. Your voice never disappoints and I was happy to hear it once again. As usual, great track. Adding to my favs.
A Nightmare Before Xmas, I liked that movie a lot, cool reference!
I usually don't use loops, as a practice, as the main foundation of my tracks so when I do it's a lot of fun experimenting with sounds and effects I normally don't use.
You have a decent track here. I think you did a good job at making all of the sounds work together. And you incorporated the acapella in very smoothly. With that being said, I think some things can be altered to make this track even better. The mix of this is extremely loud. I had my volume at 48% and still had to turn it down because my headphones were literally shaking. I would suggest lowering the DB sound levels just a bit.
Over time the track became a bit repetitive. I was expecting to hear a bridge, a drop, and some more variation in the instrumental but was fairly disappointed when it just cut off for a few seconds and repeated what I just heard. I think if you worked more on this, you could have a really great track on your hands. You most certainly have a well-grounded foundation for what could be a mainstream radio-played track. You just need to work out the kinks and fix some things. All in all, good work sir.
I agree, Sergi can sing. The instrumental you created around his vocals fit perfectly. This sounds mainstream and like something on the radio. My only critique is about the length of the track. It should have been longer, but I can't as I suffer from short-song-syndrome as well. Regardless great work and keep it up!
Hi. My name is doofus ... (hi doofus) ... and I suffer from short-song-syndrome.
But like that's how long his acapella was. So what am I supposed to do? loop it? I couldn't. The acapella was that long, so that's how long the song was. The sun rises in the east. I cannot change these things. But! I do appreciate your kind words. Thanks man.
I know this track is 11 years old but thought I comment anyways. I got orchestral inspirational vibes from the intro, was that done purposefully? I definitely wasn't expecting what it led into. This track should have gotten radio play because it's that good. Great work!
It was supposed to go in a different direction.I tried something different.I think it worked and thanks for the kind comments.. Appreciate it Bro..Can't believe was 11 years..not been on site for quiet a few years now..Checking out the talent
I like this and I think it is a good start, but I do believe there are things that could be added to improve this track overall. In my opinion, this track does not have enough variation. I think a lot more could have been done in terms of the instrumentation. I would have liked to see more synths and different instruments coming in throughout the track to help back the vocals, rather than depending entirely on one synth with slight cutoff automation. I also think the drums did not do the track justice. With the right drums and sidechain, the bass and vocals could really pop, but these drums just didn't do it for me.
I don't want you to think I'm hating on your track in any way. I just wanted to give you my constructive criticism and say you really have a solid foundation here.
I had to google the original to get an idea of what you were working with. I think you did a very well job at incorporating the vocals into your track. Yours sound more like an emotional take on the original and it's very interesting to have that contrast between the vocals and the instrumental. Overall, well done!
Very interesting start. I love hearing songs done in collaboration. It's always interesting to hear two different artist combine their abilities to create a masterpiece and this track did not let me down one bit. Nice one guys and hope to hear more from you two in the future.
The instrumental is very unique and different from most songs I've heard, which is great! I have to say, I wish more church songs sounded like this. This has a very chill and happy tone and something I would use to relax and just chill out, I almost get cinematic vibes from it. Thanks for sharing this, will be on the look out for more of your stuff.
Very unique track you made here. I really like the introduction it kept interested to see what was going to happen next. The vocals were a nice touch and were mixed down very well. The track has a very dark tone to it, not sure if that was done on purpose but I like that part especially. Hope you finish it soon, would like to hear the finish track.
HEY THANK YOU....I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU THAT ITS DARK...AND YES THAT WAS MY INTENTION...HEY THX FOR LISTEN AND REPLY....I WILL FINISH IT SOON...I NEED TO MAKE A DEADLINE...HEHEHE
I'm listening to this with earbuds and the song sounds clear. My only suggestion would be to boost the bass a bit more, as it should stand out more than the other sounds. The sounds chosen gives the track a very eerie/ambient vibe, which works well with the acapella. Overall, I think you did a great job here and I'm interested to see what you do next!
This is absolutely wonderful to listen to. It sounds like a soundtrack song that is from an amazing movie. Stellar work here. I have no criticism for you, as everything sounds delightful just the way it is. Keep up the great work and hope to hear more like this in the future.
Great work here, man! The instrumental is great and fits the vocals very well. Everything is mixed down wonderfully and it sounds great on my monitors.
Great work here. The vocals really stand out on this one. Everything sounds mixed down well and the instrumental is great. All in all, outstanding work. I look forward to hearing more of your work in the future.
This is a wonderful composition. I love the arrangements and the emotion I get from the very start. All I can say is great work here. If you ever want to work on a cinematic piece together, let me know, I'll definitely be up for it.
I'm quite impressed with this track and might attempt a remix. Everything here sounds professional and I can see why this is on major streaming networks.
Keep up the great work, look forward to hearing more from you in the future!
I think the intro needs more variation. It goes on for too long and becomes repetitive really quickly. I would suggest adding some percussion or perhaps another synth to make it more interesting.
The mix sounds a little bit muffled and as the song progresses it gets harder to hear everything clearly. This happens specifically around the 0:58 mark. I think you should EQ things that should help.
Overall, you're off to good start and if you keep working on it, this track can be really good.
The melody really caught my attention. I very much enjoyed how things slowly progressed and turned into a nice bouncy dubstep track. This track has some similarities to mainstream dubstep, at the same you've managed to maintain originality and that is always great to see.
Great work here. It's amazing to see how everything came together in the end.I can see myself listening to this while on the road in the car. Keep up the great work, you definitely got my fav!
Very nice piece here. It definitely fits the narrative. It's peaceful tone along with smooth soothing transitions, makes this one a wonderful listen all the way through.
Thanks for your deep insight comment. Transitions or short key modulation I use are very ordinary method that root note moves within half or whole tone including substitution root(Db-G) , and 2 same notes common in before and after transition codes. For simple and easy mood, I applied Oscar Peterson's piano mood on soloing. Thank you for deep listening!
