A bit funky in my opinion! Interesting however!

I like those vocal stabs. I'm not sure about the panning on this one. A bit to centered you know....a bit of panning and some clever use of reverb would have made it some good!

Still pretty Funky track!

Very very interesting! I like the way you've managed to get such a deep vibe with the way the vocals are performed and the backing track.

I feel there is a bit to much reverb on the vocals and it makes them a bit unclear. But a fabulous effort!

Instant fav! Amazing voice!

I like the sound! Very smooth and pretty well recorded. I don't really agree with the space of the song as it's a bit to centered and I think some widening would have been a good thing, you know some panning among other techniques.

The solo guitar has a couple of spots where it distorts, probably was recorded that way.

Overall it's definitely a good track.

I like the chilled intro! Nice way of evolving on the edgy sound afterwards.

Nice hihats...I like how you've used them. Basic rhythm but very effective. At the moment it seems the track is focusing more on the drums but I think it could work well if you'd back them a little and add a longer reverb to the snare to make it a bit more ambient.

Anyways a very cool track and definitely not what I was expecting!

Cheers!

Nice approach! Very dark vibe all around it! I really like how you've incorporated more styles into it. I can hear some dubstep influences in there as well as some ambient ones.

Definitely a good audition and a fabulous use of the stereo width. The track has depth and a good sense of space so major props on creating that cause it's pretty hard to achieve.

You've made me fav it!

Definitely packing some heat. The track is a bit dry. That rhodes could use a good reverb to smooth it out!

You've got a nice touch on the keyz that's for sure, for some reason you've took my mind to B. Cox.

Keep up the work!

Really nice track you've got rolling here! I'm not really sure about that kick in there, I think it might sound better if it would have a bit more punch behind it.

I think the main problem is the absence of bass which is the glue between the high and the low end.

The track itself is definitely old-school. It could use a bit more width however to make it a bit more impressive.

A very good effort however and definitely sounding pro.

Thanks for the heads up!

Very nice sounding track! It has a very anthem like sound. To bad the vocals sound a bit thin!

But really a fabulous effort. This would be amazing with a proper and powerful vocal in there.

Very good sound that's for sure!

I wasn't expecting this that's for sure! I can't really agree with the vocals production but maybe the pella is like that. A bit buried in there.

The feeling is totally awesome. The bass drives my 15"'ers like crazy.

The track is a true testament of the power of the reggae influence and it represents very well their sound.

Instant fav and download so that I can bang it in my car!

Thanks for sharing!

Nice one! I've got a pair of 15 inchers around here and they wanna smash my windows! Nice low end!

The vocals sound a bit thin, I don't know exactly why but I think some 330Hz boost would be good maybe even some boost around the 1kHz area.

Anyways a very nice switch in style and a freakin' cool song.

on That Good Shh Feat Tre P by J1K
Once again that old-school vibe! I think the vocals need to come just a bit up in volume to be slightly on top of the beat. Use 2 compressors on the vocals bus. One with a slow attack and higher compression ration to take care of the overall levels and the second with a fast attack to catch those peaks. It will bring it out brilliantly.

Again I think the kick drum needs more punch. It kinda gets lost once the track starts and everything comes in there.

Cheers!

Darn 40 plays and no reviews!

I think that boomy sound is because of the bass in the sample. To be perfectly honest I would have loved that kick to be a bit more powerful and drive that track harder. You could try some parallel compression just on the kick or use something like Slate Trigger to trigger some filtered 909's on a parallel channel. That will help that low end a lot.

The sound of the vocals is very good and i like the way they go with the track. I think they could use a bit more volume tho as they get a bit buried here and there. Overall it's old-school from start to end and that's a good thing.

Not my cup of these this genre but i gotta admit you've recreated that exact period of time incredibly well.

Joyful wave did a fabulous work on this one. I do agree with Nuada that the vocals should come a bit up and lower a bit the level of the reverb just a bit to bring the vocals upfront.

I really like the saturated sound of that kick, almost a perfect emulation of the tape sound. I still can't believe how well this is produced, almost feel like you guys turned back the hands of time!

This one gets faved!

Thanks Malu!
yup, my vocals weren't great, but I'd just started recording, & was so nervous, lol! I recorded it on my laptop!!
But I hope to redo it at some point since I now have decent equipment & my personal producer, lol!
TBH, I NEVER thought I'd ever do a dance track,(not my preferred genre either, but dont tell JW, I live with him, lol!) but I like the song, so it was a new experience for me!
Thanks

on Dreaming A Dream (with Mark Cloutier) by MarieDailly
Ohh my i love the roomy feel on the overall track! I like the way you've interpreted the vocals and you kinda became a part of the actual song.

I don't really agree with the reverb on the vocals cause it's a bit to roomy in my opinion. I think a shorter plate combined with a wide room would have made a better impact on your voice and would have helped a bit the clarity.

I do however love the way you interact with that guitar...and it does make it sound as if this was recorded at a live performance.

This was a dream to do, but you'll guess that I dont understand the techy stuff, lol! If you mean it's a bit too echoey, I agree! :)
I spend quite a whileon the lyrics & getting the right vocal melody for Mark's guitar track, which I loved before he let me muck around with it!
Live? Hmm, thanks, just the effect I hoped for! :)

Interesting use of the vocals of the kids. The track sounds good and it somehow reminds me of a few artists in the trance area, probably has more influences in it then I would have expected.

Not my cup of tea this genre but a fabulous effort.

The vocals are sounding great and I think you've made a professional job over here!

Oh man this is a fabulous effort! I gotta thank Abe for bringing me here!

The track kinda reminds me of Mount Eden it's just that this is a bit better!

I like the eerie sound and the dark vibe that you've got going as well as the drums. Those are pure gold!

I think you've found a great style to fit AJ's vocals! I had to fave you know!

Amazing work!

Again the first thing you notice is the amount of reverb on the track. A bit to much!

The drums and percussion is amazing. The guitar is sounding very good it's just to buried in the mix.

The vocals sound thin and i don't know if it's a bad mic or if it's the processing that make it like that.

The sound itself brings a bit towards Welcome to the machine by Pink Floyd with all the backing vibrations taking place.

P.S. I just uploaded a different song acoustic just my martin and my SQ8 I used very little re verb as I did on many, many songs,Title Been Hear Far To Long, also a number 1 song on sound click years ago. perfect mix and master and very different from the others remember 2000 songs its hard to know witch ones to post, also did you hear my film score 'battle of the Redeemed' I am using it in an Independent film I am doing, so check those two out, esp. song one, less re verb and you will see what I can do as far as versatility OK, I also have a short free e-book I published with many insider tips on how to make on line sales, break into film music AND tuns of good tips and ideas

Definitely a great sound going on and very suited for your vocals. Amazing performance.

I would have liked some of the backing instruments a bit wider to make a bit more room in the middle as it sounds a bit strange with everything gathered in the middle.

Overall it definitely sounds amazing with your vocals. I love that percussion.

Keep up the good work!

HAhhaha the first to play it!

I love the intro! The verse part is definitely interesting and i like the sustained vibe it has.

There are definitely some influences in it...from rock to country and blues I think you've got them all. Nice riffs that's for sure! Very well balanced on both side before the solo, tho honestly i would have loved the actual solo in the middle and a bit more defined.

Well can't wait for the finished product that's for sure!

Hehe, thank you Malu! There's a bunch of influences – I've listened to lots music and I'm sort of glad it shows.

on Im In The Hood Yeah by PLUCK4EVA
Ok ok now this might be something! Sounding really nice!

The vocals are a bit to dry and upfront as if it's just the raw recording. Some power would be good behind those drums and behind some of the backing elements you know to beef it up a bit!

But definitely a fabulous effort and a pretty good sound.

on Lights On by bostonredsoxfreak
The drums! Where are the drums? Lol! Yeah you should definitely work on defining the drums a bit as they get buried in there.

The brass section is extremely well put together however it's to centered. The strings have the same problem. You gotta leave that middle space available for the vocalist.

If you widen the brass and the strings you'll get a bigger sound and definitely have a lot of room in there for the drums and anything that might come after wards.

on All The Time ft Harutune by ChaseManhattan
The vocals are a bit to boomy and that makes them sound a bit semi-processed.

The drums could use some oomph cause they are kinda shy in there and sound small like one of those mini sets. Lol.

The track is pretty nice and the flow is awesome just a couple of tweaks here and there and it's all done.

Welcome back again Dizzy! Lol! Anyways it does sound like Dezentral and the style is the same! Cool sound to be honest.

Nice punchy low end, tho I would have loved a bit more punch on the kick(it might be personal preference).

I think the vocals could have been a bit wider but they sound good as they are also so nothing major.

Still an epic work!

Best wishes!
