I like the strings and bass combo, very good, I can see where it gets a bit muddy (for me it was around the 100 mark) but one worth persevering with. I will await the update!
Yea I noticed the low mid muddiness too, this is one of the things I want to work out but I mostly go by ear when I'm EQing/mixing, is there any type of frequency detection tool (for lack of better words) that you can recommend using for a final mixdown? This would make my life alot easier xD and thanks for the constructive criticism, always useful =]!
Hi,This is a good mix, good flow, the vocals are good throughout but can I suggest you take a look at the guys vocals (the first one who sings) he sounds a bit too raw, can you put some compression on or some effect to take away the rawness just a little?
I'm astonished that no one has commented on this track, its very good. Nice use of vocal variations, I would like to suggest trying to change the beats around to put a little more variation, but apart from that, good going!
aye i know the beat is kinda repetitive but iv tryed lots to try and change it but the whole track was built round that beat making it difficult to change but cheers :)
Nice sounding mix, the only thing I will say is those vocals are used a bit too much, can you possibly try and vary them either in lower or higher tones or add some more vocals? because the tune itself is pretty good.
This is pure brilliance, vocals fantastic and music too, I would really like to see this to be a hit on i-tunes and elsewhere, can I just say though at around 1.08-1.18 I felt it needs a little altering can you look at that part and analyse the synth part? it needs something a bit more. apart from that I really want this to be a hit and I hope for you it is.
Thank u for taking the time out to comment on my new track.. The problem I faced with that part of the track was 2 fold the first was, when I added somemore sounds in there the track sounded very one level and didn't rise and fall in otherwords the journey of the vocals was lost.. The second reason for the quiet section is a lil technique to make sure the compressors in clubs have time to reset before the next section of the track comes in.. That way the first kick really stands out and gives u the impression that the Track hits u like a slap in the guts when it comes back in....
This is a very nice tune, good music can I just ask if you could look at the vocal sound as it sounds a bit hissy I'm sure you can make them a little more clear as you certainly don't sound like an amature at this. Good work.
thanks and when you say hissy do you mean my word ( i was trying to fix that)and trust im an amateur i've only had radio/tv for one year ( basicly only taught me to run a mixer as far as music goes )and a 1 week sound camp but i will say my teachers were very good.
Good sounding little number here nice beats and synth hits I know you put in the title that it's unmastered I noticed around 25 seconds in the vocals came in a bit sudden and sounded too raw and again at around 1.01 seconds up to 1.19 seconds the song sounded very good apart from the areas I highlighted. This is only my personal opinion. If you would like to take a listen to those points and see what you can do, keep at it guys.
Beautiful day and beautiful song. Vocals, guitar, everything just super, I would if I may just suggest that you perhaps consider leaving out the 'Ooooh's' at the beginning and just let the vocals kick in as she does come in with a big 'wow' factor when she starts to sing, maybe turn the vocals down just a touch though but leave the rawness, I like that. Well done to everyone involved. Harmonies are superb also.
Greatly appreciate the feedback. I too have wondered if we should take the oooh's out of the beginning, I'll bring it up and see what Lacey thinks. Thanks for the critical evaluation and I'll see if we can't incorporate some of them.
Gorgeous voice! This is talent and a half girl! I must say though your voice was a little bit wobbly in just a few tiny places (I'm sure you know where)I, don't really think there was any need for backing vocals as you carry it beautifully on your own.
I think you have a very nice voice, music is brilliant, I know you said this isn't fully mixed yet but I am wondering if you are going to put a slight effect on your voice because it sounds a little too raw at the moment (the backing vocals are beautiful) I look forward to the final result, I know it's gonna be great!
Thanks so much for the review. Yeah, it's only a scratch...and it will for sure get polished. It's more of a "map" at this point to get a feel for where it will go.
It's not bad, I think it needs more, I do think the dirty bass was a little too high in certain areas, have you tried playing around with bringing it down to a lower key? I did giggle at the little 'ting' of the cymbal near the begining,(it was very comical but quite creative I thought) Gotta love those dirty bassline sounds, I'm working on one at the moment.
Nice beats and good use of cymbals, I like the riffs and the little scratches you put in, I wasn't too keen on the sounds that came in around 1.38 (just my opinion) Good work and it sounds well mixed.
Thanks alot for the review, much appreciated!! I'm glad you like the beat, cymbals, riffs & scratches. No worries about not liking the sounds that comes around 1:38...I respect that you gave your honest opinion....which is worth way more in my books so thanks again!
Niiiiiiceee! Love it, I think it would be worth seeing what asad can do with his idea on lyrics! it's a rocking tune though. Nice voices on all singers fab harmonising.
Hi, I didn't realise but you did put what sounded like some strings in this track (I apologise for missing them) it's these damn earphones I need some new ones I've blown them and they crackle and pop like mad, what I've done now is I have downloaded your track and I am putting some more strings on it, I will let you know when it's done if you want to hear it. Forgot to say the Sax (slap) in it is pure brilliance by the way.
I don't really listen to much ambient music (I don't know why) this is a good lay for a base of a track it sounded to me like it could have been a mellow slow tempo ambient version of Linkin Parks 'In the end' track. Have you thought about putting strings in it? Overall I must say it's good.
Nice drumming and percussions I liked the waspy sounding synth that was all good but I did feel that the main synth riff was not really sitting right in this track I felt it needs to be in a different scale but I cannot say whether it should be higher or lower, can I suggest playing around with that? Keep with it though.
This is a good sounding track, nice riffs,I do feel that this track would do better with some vocals on it, I was kinda thinking along the lines of faithless style can't 'get no sleep' or Insomnia as its known but it doesn't need lots of vocals just a verse just a few lines repeated. Nice work.

I like this, those synths sound fine to me, nice work. Just check your incoming synths at about 150 and again at 220. All good though .

Very nice, only thing I will say is piano/keyboards are just a tiny bit too loud, I tend to do this sometimes, but good track.

Muzicizme is very popular on here and I am not surprised, nice mix, was that a distorted bass kick? or are my speakers going kaput? lol
