So I am not a fan of dub (I'm like the lead character in Deadpool), so I wasn't expecting much. However, this one was a really pleasant surprise. The percussion definitely stole the show (at least for me). I would definitely listen to more dub if it all sounded like this one. Really enjoyable tune, mixed properly, and served with just the right amount of spice :) Well done. I hope all is well.
Hey thx for you kinds words mate
It's very 70's reggae style i think, try to put some analog white punk vibes in it with a touche of Grace Jones...
Cheers
Maj, this is a really, really solid effort. Mix is just razor sharp and I really enjoyed the different transitions into the different sections. Outstanding effort, but I would expect nothing less from you. Well done. I hope all is well.
Hello Bear,
How are you doing?
I am very sorry for the delay Bear,
Time, you know how it is.
Thank you very much for your feedback and it is a great to hear from you.
I hope you're keeping well.
Thanks again.
Maj
Great guitar riff (I always have had a weakness for great slide guitar). The only thing that was missing for me was some kind of a chord change/bridge or something. Don't get me wrong, I loved what you guys did, I just think there is so much more that you could do with this one. Anyway, that's just an old guy nitpicking if you know what I mean. Stellar work though. Thanks for sharing. I hope all is well.
Really nice work. It is a well thought out project that flowed extremely well. Lot of little subtle nuances in it that work nicely together. Loved that chord change you made on it. Enjoyable experience from start to finish. Production is spot on as well. Thanks for sharing. I hope all is well.
"I already had that." F'in brilliant lyrics bro. This one is absolutely top shelf material. Outstanding effort from start to finish. This should be this year's breakup song. Really well done!! I hope all is well.
Ah, Neo, as usual your work on this one is a master's class in playing, composing, and production. Seriously brother, it's like listening to Mayer or maybe Jonny Lang or one of the other greats. They always say the tones in the hands and in this case, they are so right. Beautifully performed. Thanks for sharing. I hope all is well.
Wow that's quite a compliment Bear, I certainly appreciate the kind words man. Tone is always that Holy Grail we are constantly striving for. I was purposely thinned it out a bit more than I normally use in this, to give some what of a twang. But still wanted it to sound good. I actually use two distinct guitar tracks in this with entirely different set ups.
So this is really good work. We go to the Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Orlando each year and I can definitely hear this one playing as we enter one of the haunted houses. Excellent work. You should be proud of this one. Keep up the great work. I hope all is well.
Laurent, you are one talented bunch of musicians. Drum work is so good, as is all of the rest of the instrumentation. Composition is really spectacular, especially the use of Patrica's vocals. There is nothing to criticize here, just a great display of musical ability. If you guys ever take your act on the road, let me know where you'll be playing. I would love to see it live. Well done. I hope all is well.
Hahaha bear, thank you so much for this reply, it put a smile on my face reading it. I'm glad you think the mix is good, I don't do a lot of cinematic tracks, mostly trap so this was fairly new for me. :)
Thank you so much for your time and the listens, glad I could create a whole vibe to pîcture yourself in a different scenario
Another great effort from you. Love the tone of your voice, has that nice warm buttery feel to it, with great pitch. This is another song with just the right amount of accompaniment, allowing the vocals to shine through. Lyrics are really impressive as well. I enjoyed this one from start to finish. Thanks for posting and sharing your talents. I hope all is well.
Wow, beautiful work. Love the unplugged feel - anytime you can put a singer and a guitar on the stage at the same time, you usually get magic simply because there is no place to hide. Your vocal work is about as good as it gets. Not sure how I haven't heard more of your music, but boy I am glad I discovered you. Stunning effort and I cannot imagine why nobody has commented on this one. Fantastic work. I hope all is well.
Robbie, nothing short of spectacular work here. I absolutely love folk music - used to attend the annual old time fiddlers festival in Shoshone, Wyoming and I would hear music similar to this. Great stuff, great lyrics, great guitar work, great song. Great job!!!!! I really enjoyed this one. Thanks for posting. I hope all is well.
Hey Bear you made me smile i had almost forgotten about this track i stay in Austria now being a far travelled Scot i dont think ill be going to Scotland anytime soon but i also love folk and bluegrass and the blues. I miss the old bar folk nights i used to go to every week too much beer but i miss the music and the camaraderie :)
Robbie, I don't know how the heck I missed your music up to this point. That's the bad news. The good news is I discovered you and now have a new favorite to listen to. I love jazz and this one is just off the chain good. Terrific keyboard work from start to finish. Best of luck with the heart surgery. This getting old sucks :) Anyway, I'm going to head off and give another of your tunes a listen. Really well done. I hope all is well.
Fast fingers on that synth, holy cow!! Pretty realistic sounding and what is really amazing is you did it all live, no overdubs. It is always a master's class in performance, composition, and production in your neck of the woods. I am always left pretty much speechless when I hear your work. A definite 10 out of 10 on this one and straight to faves. Well done brother. Keeping the bar high. I hope all is well.
Thanks so much, Bear. Very Very kind words. I appreciate that so much. I hope you are feeling well these days, and settling into a new place in FLA. keep on keeping ehh!
Steve
First let me echo my friend Danke's sentiment that there are definitely not enough blues on this site. That said, holy sh*t, this is fantastic. I spent quite a bit of time wandering the bars/music scene in Austin, TX and this is the kind of music I used to listen to and fell in love with. Great guitar styling, beautiful buttery tone, definitely know your way around a fret board. Outstanding effort on this one by everyone involved. I absolutely loved everything about it. You guys should take this act on the road!! I hope all is well.
Another masterful 38 seconds of absolute bliss :) Like many of the others, I would really love to hear a complete piece of yours. If you have a link to some of your catalog it would be great if you could post it. Again, quality, quality, quality work. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. I hope all is well.
There are some really great musicians on this site, and I would definitely rank you right up there with some of the most talented I've had the pleasure of listening to. My God man, you can flat out play and it is such a pleasure to hear talent like yours. Sorry that guy didn't follow through on his payment, but his loss is our gain. Thanks for posting this gem. I'm off to give your other track a listen. Added to favorites, and since I missed you before, welcome to Looperman. I hope all is well.
Wow, from the first note this one had my undivided attention. Guitar work is stellar as usual, but man the production and arrangement is a master's class in how to do things the right way. This has that Santana vibe to it, which is something I really love. I just bought a PRS searching for that Carlos tone (I'm still searching, haha), and it looks like you have it mastered. Are you using one of your Strats for this or your Les Paul? Anyway, outstanding effort. Really, really good work. I hope all is well.
Thanks Bear as always great to hear from you and thanks so much for the positive feedback. As for your questions. Yes it's my Strat. I have not played the Les Paul in ages.
The Strat is the most versatile guitar in the world. It can sound like anything. This Strat is about 2 years old it's an American standard all stock. As always I hope all is well with you and your family.
Nicolo, really nice work here. The choice on the chord progression is really interesting, it gives the piece a melancholy feel with the dissonant notes combined with the vocals. I did a song with these vocals and came up with something completely different....actually like your version much better. Mix sounds nice to these worn out ears. Well done my friend. I hope all is well.
Ah, Steve, just what I needed to start out my Sunday. Beautifully composed and orchestrated, just the right balance of bass to anchor things. Very nice build, almost suspenseful. It's amazing to see how far you have come over the past 8 years. Beautiful work my friend. I hope all is well.
Absolutely stunning vocals....I'm not sure how I missed you but I am so glad I found your profile. Your voice is like a mixture of Enya and Amy Lee with a healthy dose of Ratsouk thrown in to top things off. Beautiful pitch, control, and dynamics. I've downloaded a few of your acapellas and I plan on seeing what I can do with them. In the meantime, I can only say thank you for allowing us to share your talents. Again, thank you for posting this one. I hope all is well.
Damian, nice effort here. It does bring back memories of all of those catchy 80s tunes. My wife really liked it, haha. You could probably bump the vox a little bit (that big saw synth kind of blocks out the backing vox in spots), but that's just nitpicking on my part. I enjoyed this one and am glad I'm the first to give it a go. As always, thanks for sharing your work with all of us. I hope all is well.
I spent quite a bit of time in the southwest growing up and a lot of time in some of the clubs in Austin. This sounds like something I would have heard there - terrific work. Vox are nice, the bass laying a great foundation for the song. This is good on so many different levels. I look forward to many more from you. Not sure who is doing the guitar work, but they know their way around a fret board. Outstanding effort!! Added to favorites. I hope all is well.
Thanks for the kind words Bear, I'm still trying out different styles of music, I don't really have a preferred kind so have a few different sounding ones on the go from Prog Rock to 80's style pop, I'm about to post that one so have a listen, may not be your cup of tea though,
Brother, let me first say how happy I am that you are in a better place. It takes a great deal of courage to face your personal demons, and even greater strength to share your experiences through your art. I've lost friends over the years (way too many) and in retrospect I feel so badly that I can't turn back the clock, see the signs, and maybe said something that would have changed the course of their lives in a good way. This song had a profound effect on me, and I thank you for that. I've downloaded it and will share it with others who are struggling with the day to day hurdles life throws our way.
You are a rarity, and talented, and a really good person. Thanks for sharing with all of us T2. Keep fighting the good fight. Happy holidays, and I truly do hope all is well.
Wow!
Thanks Bear.
Sometimes that strength we rely on to pull through becomes too much to bear if not harnessed the right way. Outlets like music have helped me for a long time and will continue to do so. Sorry to hear about your friends. And no....Thank you!!!!! I've read this comment from time to time since you've posted it and I just didn't know how to respond. Good looking out man and I'd be happy for you to share my work with whomever you see fit. Thanks again and Hope you had a great holiday season and your new year is off to a good one.

You paint a lovely picture with this one. Mix is spot on, the composition is as good as it gets, and the dynamics are really special.
