Thanks a million Bear :) I've got a lot to learn yet, but this site and the people on it have increased my love for producing immensely! Which, i hope, is also resulting in some improvements haha. Glad you've enjoyed my latest efforts, every bit of feedback means a lot! Thanks again Bear ma man :)
Wow, Mr. RichieWinn, you have mad skills. This is exceptional work, from the instrumentation to the production. The acoustic work is so good....like sitting in a Tommy Emmanuel concert....
It was that good :)
One of the best tracks I've heard in quite some time. Bravo my friend, and this one goes straight to favorites.
I think what I find most amazing about this is your ability to take all of these different samples that were recorded in different tempos....then put them all together into a cohesive, well written song. The mix is outstanding as well.
It can and is a bit challenging at times but well worth it in the end. I do write without using loops except for drums, but do find it interesting to be able to lay down s few tracks using loops then play over it with additional loops!
Thanks for the review Bear it's an honor coming from you.
I just wanted to thank you again for sharing your amazing gift with all of us. You are a rare talent, and all of us are really lucky to have you as part of the community. Thanks again for your patience putting this together :) Us old guys are like dogs....too many ooooh shiny moments, haha. This one was an honor for me.
Your guitar loops are always so good, so when I see the title "Rectifier" on your track page......well.....I had to give this one a go.
And you did not disappoint.
Man, great tone, great clarity, and great technique. The drums are impressive too. Overall, I'd have to say this track is about as good as it gets. As for the tempo, I love the slower feel....but I'm an old guy and fast just doesn't work anymore, haha.
Thanks for the review man. Yea I dig the slower stuff alot more myself these days. It waxes and wanes lol. I wish I could actually get a decent sound out of my Triple Rec. I don't record anything with a mic so the straight in from the head to my rig and stomp boxes becomes overkill. I mainly use just a floor multi fx with amp modeling, that then goes into the input. Also with the head I pickup so much background noise it's frustrating. Even now I get too much for my taste. If I could go back and redo this track I would use some of the newer techniques I've learned. Double up the guitars. Try to get the bass more in there. Boost some of the highs a bit more on the pre mix before taking it to final mix and master.
Thanks for the review man, also another drum compliment will always make my day. I'm horrible with the drum programming stuff. Cheers :D
Mad, mad guitar work on this one. I would love to hear the guitars a bit more forward in the mix (they are really, really good). Love the tone my friend....something that comes after 30+ years of work on an instrument. Bass line is outstanding as well.
Bear your a gent I'd love to go back and do some tweaking on Swamp Thang but I keep starting new projects and learning new production bits that I didn't know about when ST happened. Makes me grin that you liked it ah ha
This started as a joke on my friend and escalated into this thing that was frying my cpu lol. It's probably the one that's a culmination of the things I've learned over the last 6 months or so still experimenting everyday. Muchos gracias Bear makes an ol' geezer smile
Another great track Vicen. Like Martin, I can imagine driving down the highway in a convertible, enjoying your music and the sunshine. This track works well in any language, and that makes it a success. Well done amigo.
I'm glad you liked it. I made a contrast between the melody and lyric. Thanks for your feedback, and I hope you enjoy many sunny days and good memories.
Oh, I do love the "live" feel to this one. What a great mix of talents on this. I'm not sure why you are not on every radio station in this country, but if/when you get famous, if you ever need a bus driver/piano player/rhythm guitar guy.....well, I'll work for free, hahaha.
tza1800 did put that stank on it, and i simply loved the live feel too. i must've sent him "literally" like 8 emails saying, "wow", "this is great", "thank you", yada yada yada. i think it was mostly the musical production that made this as great as it is. thank you mr. bear!
I really like the sentiment this one presents to the listener. This would make a great video game soundtrack. It's easy to listen to this one and have a smile the whole time. You know you are successful if you can strike a chord with your listeners, and you have with this one.
Thanks bear! I really appreciate your comment, it keeps me motivated.
I made a couple of tracks with your piano loops; I will try to upload them sometime next week.
I see you have been prospecting for gold and found it!!! Man, this is so much better than anything that is playing on the radio. You have major skills Brent, and when you combine them with Mz. Muzic, well it is simply magic.
Brilliant track and my hat is off to both of you. Faved!!!
Your reviews always brighten up my days :) Thank you for giving your time once again to listen and comment. We're definitely lucky to have the opportunity to work with a musician as fine as Muzic! All of her pella's inspire me and get ideas floatin around in my head, so going through with this one was a highly enjoyable experience :)
Really nice job on this one....it's a fusion of hip hop and rock/metal. It has an epic feel to it. MIM4E has an absolutely wonderful voice. I'm amazed that this is constructed out of loops.....
Nicely done. Even though I don't speak your language, it is really clear that you have great timing and flow and a nice quality to your voice. My wife really enjoyed it :)
So, it isn't very often that I'm speechless, but I am right now :)
Your dad was always one of my heroes growing up. I tried to emulate his guitar stylings and have always fallen short. But it's the journey that is important.
He would really appreciate the concept you created with the guitar loops. I've actually had the great privilege to work with the guy who recorded those loops on a couple of songs. He would also approve of what you have done here.
Thank you again, Bear. You are a mega-talent yourself. I love your music. I acutally have your Looperman number memorized...lol.
As for my father, I miss him so and would have loved for him to hear what I am doing musically. His memory is what keeps me inspired. But I really believe in my heart he is aware.
It is truly a small world you worked with the gentleman who created the guitar solo loops. Here is his site where I got the guitar solo loops:
Well, it is easy to see why Malu is one of the best around when it comes to mixing and mastering. This is fabulous and definitely a song that Pink Floyd, or any band, would be proud of.
Thanks Bear. Malu made a big differnce with his skills and I am really pleased with the result. Jim's voice is so right for this one, finding Eshars pella was a fortunate thing.

This is pretty special right now. After you add the other two to the mix it is going to be amazing. Great guitar work as usual. Nicely mixed. A great start to what I know will be an amazing track.

Your voice is remarkable, but your skills as a composer and producer are on the same level as your voice.
I just don't have the appropriate adjectives for what you have created here, so instead of trying to find the right ones....
I'll just stand and applaud.
What a marvelous tribute to someone who must be an amazing woman.
Beautiful work, and one I had to add to favorites.
